We spent 6 nights at the Jewel Palm Beach and really enjoyed our stay. It was an enjoyable, beautiful resort, as well as very reasonably priced.

We reserved at club level and glad we did. The adults only club pool was a very nice place to relax, drinks were great and the water temp was perfect.

We tried all but one of the dinner options. They were all very good! We didn't get a chance to go to Two Palms Grill for dinner, but we did for breakfast and lunch and really liked it too. Our favorite was the Mexican restaurant. But they were all very good and fun to try.

The staff at Jewel Palm Beach is excellent. They were all very kind and attentive. Emmanuel at a couple of our dinners and Emilio by the adults-only club pool were both awesome .

We booked an excursion to Scape Park through the resort and were glad we did. We personally felt better about booking thru them rather than the blue shirt vendors on the beach. And the transportation to and from was great, didn't have to make any stops to other hotels, and great A/C.

Speaking of Air conditioning, when we first got to our room it was hot and couldn't be adjusted (set at 26.5 Celsius). However, they did send a maintenance personnel to our room to check it out and after that it seemed to improve. One thing we did additionally is keep our drapes closed, ran the ceiling fan on high, kept the doors to the closet, toilet, and shower closed, as well as keeping off the lights we didn't need. That seemed to help as well, and our room stayed at around 24.5-25 celsius for the rest of our time there. And that was a cool and comfortable temperature. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we especially loved the shower with double rainfall showerheads! Yes the room was a little dated but we didn't care. Housekeeping was great and fridge was always well stocked with waters and cokes.

The beach had a lot of seaweed at the beginning of our stay but it improved toward the latter part of our stay. I think a storm was responsible for the seaweed. There were always plenty of umbrellas and chairs at the beach to choose from.

The vendors on the beach could be annoying but the resort security did a good job of keeping them away from the chairs.

Thank you Jewel Palm Beach, we loved it!

Dear guest, Thank you for sharing your fantastic experience at Jewel Palm Beach! It's clear that you had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and appreciated various aspects of the resort. Choosing the club level seems to have been a great decision, as the adults-only club pool and its amenities provided a relaxing experience. Your positive remarks about the dinner options, particularly the Mexican restaurant, are appreciated. It's always fun to explore the various dining options at a resort. The praise for the staff, including Emmanuel and Emilio, highlights the excellent service and attention to detail that you experienced during your stay. Booking the excursion to Scape Park through the resort was a wise choice, and the convenience of transportation without additional stops is a plus. Your insights on managing the room's temperature are helpful for future guests, and it's great to hear that the issue was resolved to your satisfaction. The cleanliness and comfort of the room, along with the double rainfall showerheads, clearly contributed to a pleasant stay. Seaweed can be a seasonal occurrence, and it's good to know that the resort provided plenty of beach amenities and that the security team helped manage the beach vendors. We're delighted that you loved your stay at Jewel Palm Beach and hope to welcome you back in the future. Your detailed feedback is valuable, and we're glad you had such a positive experience! I went with my husband to our first all inclusive for this trip. we had a wonderful experience. Any of the little details that were bothersome don’t seem worth mentioning, but I will include them. Upon arrival we were taken to the club member lounge for check in. It was a very hot day, so this was nice because the main lobby is an open air lobby and it was still quite warm and the members lounge was air-conditioned. Even if we had not been brought to the member lounge the main lobby itself is very lovely and has many nice seating areas and there is a lobby bar in which they bring you very refreshing drinks during your check-in process. The staff takes your luggage for you and gives you a ticket so that you can focus on getting checked in and they hold your luggage until you have been given a room. This is the same whether you are club member or checking in via the main lobby. When we got to the member lounge, we did not have to take our luggage with us as they kept it at the bell hop stand. The member lounge adults only is very nice. Once again, it is air conditioned and there is a nice bar along with seating areas, tables, and a hors d’oeuvres section where they refresh snacks and hors d’oeuvres all day long. We were greeted with two nice glasses of champagne by Yogina. Our experience going to the members club lounge each day we were there was very pleasant. Yogina is a terrific bartender, and has a very sweet and genuine, fun disposition. I love that she’s always smiling and does a little dance when she’s making her drinks. She comes from very far to work at this resort and I am so glad she does because she made our experience there so nice. Many times before going to dinner at the restaurants we would stop by the member lounge to have her make us a drink to take with us. (Pro tip… always get a drink from one of the bars before going to the restaurants. The staff at the restaurants don’t generally act quickly in getting drinks and a couple of times we weren’t successful getting the drinks we asked for when seated at a restaurant. It’s much easier to just get them and bring them to dinner with you, so you’re not waiting. That would be one of the little bothersome details of the trip but again, it really didn’t take away from our whole experience. ) Emilio was our next favorite club area staff member. He was so sweet and kind and would go out of his way to make sure that he opened the door for you, took a picture for you,got a drink for you or anything you needed. He was just great. We loved when he would say “Echellente!”
The pools at the resort are great. Of course the main pool with the swim up bar seemed to be the most popular, but all areas of the pools were very nicely kept and enjoyable. We had a members only adult only pool right next to our building and it was very quiet and pleasant but if we wanted that party vibe we would go to the main pool. There is also a lazy river type pool that wasn’t very crowded and had many chairs around it available most of the time and we would frequent that as well. There is also a family, members only pool and that was also very nice and clean and right next to the family all ages, club lounge and the two palms grill. It was nice being able to kind of pool hop depending on what vibe we were looking for. The staff walking around the pool areas always make sure that they are taking your empty glasses and asking if you would like another drink and provide you with towels. One of the little brother some details I would say is that there were a few different times they try to upsell dinners on the beach and lobster dinners so even when you are relaxing by one of the pools, we were interrupted a couple of times by staff trying to upsell those Meals. They were nice enough to not push too hard, but I still felt like I had to say no more than once to the same person.
All of the meals at this resort are all inclusive. You do not need to make reservations at any of the restaurants or the Buffet. If they were a bit busy, you would get a little pager that would buzz when your table was ready. They do not have a super strict dress code. They just ask that you be dry, have a pair of shoes on, and no swimsuit attire in the restaurants. This includes the Buffet. You cannot go in with a swimsuit or a see-through swimsuit cover-up. We did see that everyone seemed to get dressed up to go to the à la carte restaurants. Going to the Buffet through the day was a lot more casual and people would go in from the pools to the Buffet but just be sure you’re wearing appropriate swim coverups and are dry. One of the member benefits is that you get to eat at the two Palms Grill right near the beach and that is for members only for breakfast and lunch. Everybody else can eat there at dinner time when it’s open but it was nice having the option of at a sit down restaurant for breakfast and lunch rather than just the Buffet . It also has a very lovely view from the restaurant. My favorite restaurant was the French restaurant. I will say that the focus on the entrée is very good because the meal always tasted perfect. Both my husband and I had the most delicious lamb and steak we had ever had at the French restaurant. Their appetizers are not that great I will say. We come from New York where food is a big deal and the appetizers definitely left something to be desired. The Italian restaurant also had delicious entrées. My husband had wonderful osso bucco and I had a great fish meal. Again, I feel that they put their main focus on the entrées but the appetizers were subpar. The Asian restaurant was very nice with great staff and we had a great experience but again we are from New York and I feel that we have far better sushi and Asian food options so this restaurant was my least favorite. We did not do the hibachi table because it was so hot and the restaurant itself didn’t seem as air-conditioned as the other restaurants. The presentation of the food was lovely in all of the restaurants, including the Jade, but it was very salty at the Jade and I just wasn’t as impressed with my entrée as I was with the Italian and the French restaurant. The Mexican restaurant was also a lovely presentation but once again, I would say that my entrée was far better than the appetizers and I still prefer Mexican food from the authentic Mexican restaurants here in New York over the food that we had at this resort. It was just not up to our standards I suppose, but that’s not to say anything was wrong with it,it was just lackluster. My husband and I by this point knew to always bring drinks to the restaurants for dinner but it’s the third time we went to a restaurant and he did not receive the drink that he was supposed to so for sure make sure you are bringing a drink to the restaurants with you because you basically get just water served to you.
The main lobby bar was also excellently staffed and all of the bartenders were super sweet and friendly. We absolutely loved Clemente and Pedro. They are just some of the funnest nicest bartenders. Clemente always did a little dance and had a smile on his face at all times, and had cute little sayings, and we just loved him and everybody at that lobby bar is an enjoyable person and make terrific drinks.
My husband lost his phone outside one of the restaurants one of the nights that we were there and that was one of the other little headaches we had to deal with while we were there, although it did not take away from the trip. I will say that the way that they handled it was a little bizarre and the gentleman at the concierge desk was a little bit rude in my opinion. If a guest loses a phone and identifies the phone by the picture on the phone and where they left it and the staff who found it knows you are the person who left it there they should just give it back to you. We went on a 20 minute search for it and had to do a back-and-forth between a security guard a concierge and a restaurant staff member. It was a bit bizarre.
The entertainment at this resort is also just terrific. We went to three different shows in the theater and I couldn’t believe the talent of the circus and the dance teams that were on stage. We got to take pictures with everybody at the end of each show and it just added to the whole experience. we had a really fun time on the beach with the DJ and the all white clothing party and if it rained, there was always something to do in the lobby at night such as a silent disco.
We also really enjoyed the beach at this resort there was always a lounge chair with a umbrella available in various parts of the beach. I will say if you sit towards the front of the chairs. You will be bothered by people walking the beach trying to sell you things. They are not allowed up on the resort property so if you don’t want to be bothered sit far up closer to the resort rather than down towards the end of the chairs. There is security and military patrolling the beach to keep guests from being too bothered and to keep you safe. We frequented the beach during different times of the day and it was the same at all times. There are also dogs wandering the beach which for us was great we love dogs. They work very hard to keep that beach clean and they have barriers up for you to swim in if you wanna get into the ocean.
There’s just so much to do at the resort as far as relaxing. Of course you can do that in many different areas but they always have something going on or some type of entertainment planned through the day and the evening. It is not a party resort. It is not a place for you to go and have foam parties at the pool or anything like that it is just a very nice clean, well taken care of , well staffed resort with friendly people and good clean fun. You can stay up till midnight at the lobby bar but after that there’s not really much to do but they do offer excursions and ways to get into town if that’s your thing. We booked excursions through the resort lobby And we definitely were well taken care of by doing it that way, so I would definitely suggest not booking through third parties or off of the beach. You will have a far better experience by booking through the lobby excursion desk. Long review but I will say I would definitely go back to this resort. I would go with my husband again or I would even go with a group of friends or family. It’s appropriate for all .

Excellent points .. Staff friendly and extremely helpful, Top marks for Emilio in the VIP lounge and the ever smiling Christina in the Coffee shop.
Location excellent and a short transfer to the resort (30mins)
Rooms and resort were extremely clean and tidy.
Food and drinks choice were plentiful and tasty.
Room service was first class as was the daily cleaning.
Free shuttle bus to the Blue Mall in town.
Plenty of activities and excursions to choose.
The gardens are in top shape and are tended daily.
Lovely sandy beach and warm clear water.
No swimsuits or bare body parts allowed in the bar, lounge or restaurant, this is a big plus for me.

Poor points...
They try upselling special evening meals, I had paid to go all inclusive so I didn't really like the interruptions two or three times a day.

They play extremely loud rave style music so loud it's distorted all day and night, Jewel Palm here is my advice for a much better experience...

'Play chill out or Caribbean music at a normal level from 10am till 7pm for the people literally lounging on the beach and by the pools then after 7pm when the pools are closed you can resort back to your dance music (No one wants to rave during the day)'

The DJ was very poor and his constant interruptions were very annoying.

I would recommend this hotel for everyone and I hope to return next year.

Currently staying at the Jewel palm beach Punta Cana and it’s been an amazing vacation so far.

We have the VIP packages which starts off without waiting in line at check in. You get escorted to the adult only AC room to enjoy drinks and cocktails while they process your check in. You also have access to the Pam grill restaurant by the beach and a section of the beach with waiter services for drinks. You are assigned a butler at check in who will be at your disposal for anything that you may need during your stay.

The beach is beautiful with very little to no seaweed depending on the water conditions. There’s an abundance of towels and chairs/papayas regardless of the time of day you show up at the beach.

The food at the buffet is great, we wait mostly at the palm beach restaurant by the beach which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner to VIP/Club members.

All for al a carte restaurant where good Asian, Mexican, French and Italian, although when we went to the latter, the AC wasn’t working and the service was extremely slow.

Shows at night were ok, Michael Jackson, local DR dancers, 70s and 80s show, magicians and the circus acrobats which was the best IMHO.

Everything else seems to go quiet around 11pm with not much else to do. So if you are looking for that party atmosphere, this is not where you want to be. However if you want a relaxing, peaceful vacation then you can’t go wrong at this resort.

BTW, we also booked a 6 massage package and it was amazing, you also get access to the SPA feature for your entire stay.

As they say here EXCELLENTE,
Shout out to Georgina, Emilio, Juan Carlos and the entire SPA crew. The DR people are amazing , respectful and also willing to go the extra mile to a please you.

Dear guest, We are glad to hear that you're having an amazing vacation at the Jewel Palm Beach Punta Cana! The VIP packages sound fantastic, starting with a seamless check-in experience and access to the adult-only AC room where you can enjoy drinks while they process your check-in. The Pam grill restaurant and the beach section with waiter service for drinks add to the VIP experience. It's great to know that you have a dedicated butler at your disposal throughout your stay. You've had great dining experiences at the buffet and at the Palm Beach restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner exclusively for VIP/Club members. The à la carte restaurants offering Asian, Mexican, French, and Italian cuisine were enjoyable, although you had some issues with the AC and slow service at the Italian restaurant. WOW yes that is how I am starting this review. Myself my husband and 2 of our friends were relocated to the Jewel Palm Beach from the Adults only Be live (next door) and we are so glad we were. I know we would have a had a good time anywhere but the staff at the Jewel went above and beyond. When we arrived we went straight to the Adults only club section to check in. We were then greeted by Louisa the concierge (who checked in with us all week long) and Yeuri the adult lounge bartender that evening. He is such a amazing person who took care of us that night and the next day (we went to visit him when he was bartending in the main pool as well). Once we figured out what was going on and where our rooms were we checked out the rooms. They were all we needed comfy beds, large shower, a safe and a stocked fridge (we were missing beers but that was quickly resolved once the bellman saw we weren't stalked) Then off to the buffet, the only evening we ate dinner at the buffet due to how much we loved the a la carte restaurants. The next morning we met Emilio. This man takes his job vey seriously, I mean that in a good way. We were never dry most of the time we didn't even need to ask for a drink he would bring the guys their beers (Coors light mostly) and us ladies our drinks (usually a malibu & diet and Aperol spritz). We met Wilson our butler on day 1 and he would send me the daily activities every morning and was always available for anything we needed. Arie (spelling could be wrong) would be our pool server when Emilio was on break and like everyone else he was stellar. He even took care of us when we had dinner at the French a la carte. Honestly, I could write on and on and on about the amazing service we had, I know I am missing people. The food was the best we have eaten in the Caribbean. Don't hesitate BOOK HERE! I can't say a lot about the non club side of the resort as we spent 95% of our time at the adults only pool (We did adventure out to snorkel one day). We met some fantastic people while we were there from all over but we made a lasting friendship with another couple from Ontario (that we are definitely going to get together with here in Canada). I want to end this review by mentioning Yeorgina (Yeorgy) she was an absolute doll. She had Spanish names for us all, mine was a bit harder so she ended up calling me GiGi (Yi,Yi) so now my friends who we went with call me GiGi. Every evening we would all meet at the adult lounge for a dirty martini before dinner (then again after) and she was always so welcoming. She made us laugh, she made us cry (as I think we did to her as well) if you're reading this just know, one day maybe you will win that lottery and get that dream car you so want! We cannot wait to return. I have been many places before and this is one place I will be returning with my husband and entire family. Did I mention how amazing the Service was?

i travelled to the Jewel Palm beach in a party of 4 (2 separate bookings). Three of the party were over 70 years old. When we arrived we were greeted by friendly reception staff and also a welcome drink. Unfortunately due to room availability we were in the same accommodation block one room was on the ground floor and the other on the 2nd floor. We explained to the receptionist about the difficult with stairs and they agreed to move both parties to the ground floor beside eachother a few days later. The receptionist was called Reymys he was very approachable, friendly and accommodating and honestly could not have been more helpful to our party.

The grounds of the hotel were absolute immaculate and all staff were friendly and greeted you with a hello in passing. The rooms were clean and spacious. There was a walk in shower which was ideal for the older members of our party to access. We had a lovely maid called Lavidania, everyday rooms were cleaned with fresh towels provided and always a smile.

The coffee shop had a wide variety of specialty coffees and buns on offer. The staff Christian, Christina and Ramon , were always friendly and polite and provided service with a smile.

The resort has a large swimming pool area with alot of sun lounges provided. This was great as there was always availability of beds.
We spent the majority of our time at the beach. Again there was ample sun lounges available and didn't require you to reserve them at ridiculous o'clock in the am. The beach was beautiful although there was alot of seaweed present. There was boys on the beach everyday raking this up and worked hard to do this.

On the beach there was a beach hut that provided burgers, chips and nachos as snacks throughout the day. There was also waiters on the beach providing a service of drinks from the pool bar. Louis and Oscar mainly did this and they were great lads, friendly and nothing was ever too much for them.

The hotel has a buffet restaurant and a number of restaurants. We ate in the buffet every night and have to say the choice and variety was outstanding, you definitely wouldn't starve and there was something for everyone.

We loved our holiday, i would highly recommend Jewel Palm beach and hope to return in the future.

Dear guest, Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience at Jewel Palm Beach with us! It's fantastic to hear that you had such a positive stay and that the hotel staff went above and beyond to make your visit comfortable and enjoyable. It's especially commendable that Reymys at the reception was so accommodating and helped with the room change to make it more accessible for your group. Friendly and helpful staff can truly enhance a vacation. The well-maintained grounds, spacious and clean rooms, and the availability of walk-in showers for older members of your party are all crucial aspects that contribute to a great stay. It's also great to know that the coffee shop and beachside services were top-notch and provided with a smile. Your insights about the pool and beach availability, as well as the efforts to keep the beach clean, are valuable for future guests to know. And it's reassuring that the buffet restaurant offered an outstanding variety of choices. We stayed at Jewel Palm Beach during last week of March. What can we say about this place? Only one word EXCELLENTE!
We came to this hotel first time 10 years ago, loved it then and love it now. We have traveled to other countries and stayed at other resorts in between but keep coming back to Jewel.
What makes it so special? People who work there! The moment we arrive there it feels like home. Every employee smiles and puts their hand on the heart as sign of greeting. How cool is it to come back and see people who have been working there for more than 20 years!
The resort is situated on smaller grounds which makes it more cozy and easy to navigate.
The entertainment team was always present and invited guests to participate in the activities. There was a lot of options for every taste from athletic competition to dance lesson to silly games. Everyone had chance to make their stay as much fun as they choose to get involved in the activities onsite.
Special gratitude goes to Paola, Any, Pedro, Eury and most of all to Edward Contreras for going above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable!
Every night there was special entertainment including international singers, disco, circus performers, magic show and etc.
The first 5 days of our stay ocean was clean and warm. The rain came in later, wind switched from North and seaweed was back. It was unfortunate but who can argue with nature. However, the resort crew was cleaning beach area diligently right away to make it more comfortable.
Pool water was clean and temperature was just right.
Our room was nice with plenty of space, comfortable bed, ample storage and perfect shower. Yes, furniture doesn’t look brand new but it’s expected in the climate with hot weather and high humidity which makes it more authentic.
Food. There were always plenty of choices of food for different tastes at the Coral buffet or beach bar. Five theme restaurants are open for dinner every night with al a carte serving.
We didn’t go on any excursions this time since we have done several of them during our previous stays. However, we wish there was a quick tour of Punta Cana offered to get familiar with that nearby town.
It was very hard to leave this place and we know that we will be back to this paradise again!

This resort is one of the BEST we have ever been to! The food, the accommodations, the staff, the beach , the attention to detail …EVERYTHING!! We went over Christmas break and would do it again in a minute ! The restaurants were so fantastic and you don’t need a reservation -I feel that makes it less stressful because you don’t need to stick to a schedule . The cafe is open from 6am until 11pm and their variety of coffee, pastries and sandwiches were delicious ! We were booked into the Club Tropical room unit 2 which was close proximity to everything with easy access to the beach, private club pool and private lounge” that serves snacks during the day . The Two Palms Restaurant was one of the best at the resort and is only available to club members! Towels are always available and there was NEVER an issue getting a lounger no matter what the time was . I highly recommend this resort !! You won’t be disappointed!!!

The grounds of the resort are beautiful, there are several pools to choose from around the resort. Everything is reasonable in terms of walking distance. The only thing I didn’t like about the beach view was floating barriers in the ocean. Not sure exactly why they are they but it kinda killed the ocean view for me. The sand is pretty white and overall fairly clean. We had two little kids and upgraded to the deluxe club so we stayed at the pool close to the lounge where it was quieter. I believe there is also a pool and lounge for adults only. The other two bigger pools are a bit louder as they have music playing through speakers most of the day. I would say the cleaning service is pretty good. They come to your room once in the morning and once in the evening to supply bottles of water (tap water isn’t safe to drink here), replace with new towels and make the beds. I didn’t think the service was the greatest at the restaurants with the exception at the buffet. We seemed to have better luck there. They were more attentive and faster than the other restaurants. The Kids Adventure Club was awesome. They have activities for little kids through the day. They have a club for teens as well called Teen Odyssey. Be sure to grab a daily flyer at the lounge or front desk so you can get the times of all activities, the online version is never up to date. The ladies (Miriam, Wendy, another lady but can’t remember her name) that were running the kids activities were so great with the little ones! Highly recommend it but I will say this is not a drop off for kiddos, you have to stay with them during activities. Overall I would recommend this hotel for anyone with or without kids during your stay.

We’ve had great experiences with all inclusive resorts in the area, and we’ve had not so great experiences. This was the worst. The air conditioners don’t get cold, the staff is friendly, but your Expedia perks will not be honored.

They also tried to charge for room service, which is guaranteed in my deluxe all inclusive stay ( I double checked); I just hung up the phone and went about my day. The food is my least favorite on the island, so make sure you eat from the grill if you want to enjoy your meal. We had to grab towels off of the cart because the towel person never came when we called a couple of times. The bartenders are awesome.

No beach this time of the season, which is not their fault; it’s filled with smelly seaweed. The pools are awesome and one has a swim up bar.

There’s good Wi-Fi throughout the entire resort if needed, so we just disabled our cellular service for the week.

There are pool events occurring throughout the day, and events like magic shows and karaoke as a part of the night life.

All in all, this was a live and learn experience. We will not be returning to this Jewel property and will be avoiding all other jewel properties from here on out.

Dear guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're pleased to hear that you had a positive experience with our welcoming staff, bartenders, and the pool amenities. It's great to hear that you enjoyed interacting with our friendly team, appreciated the skills of our bartenders, and found our pool facilities to be enjoyable. Based on the comments left on your post and for your information, the Expedia perks are subject to availability. Additionally, we would like to clarify that while room service is indeed part of our deluxe all-inclusive package, there is a delivery fee of $5 for each order for non-club members. We apologize if this was not clearly communicated during your hotel reservation. Your feedback about the strengths and areas for improvement is valuable and can contribute to enhancing the overall guest experience. Best regards, Angel Castro Social Media Manager
