Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This is by far the best meal me and my family have had the staff where fabulous they knew the menu inside out the food came out with breaks between each course the food was hot at all times The drinks were served with a smile I would say to whoever is running the establishment keep up the good work your staff all seemed happy in their jobs and the fact we were served by older gentlemen, not kids made a difference to the service they want to be in this job top marks on everything I COULD RAVE ALL DAY ABOUT THIS PLACE BUT GO SEE FOR YOURSELF IT'S AMAZING

I came for a 2 night visit with my sister following a family wedding in Leicester. There was plenty of parking and despite it being late Lynn met us and directed us to a lovely bright room with an ensuite bathroom. We were amazed at the detail of things placed in the room including fruit, chocolate biscuits and every hot drink you could want. The bed was very comfortable and after a good comfy sleep we went down for breakfast outside under a canopy. There were freshly baked croissants, toast different jams and honey and a good choice of cereals. It helped that the weather was lovely so after a stroll to see the local shops and restaurants we went back for a swim in the lovely heated pool followed by a chill and rest on a sun lounger. As an added bonus there were 2 very friendly dogs to play with. I tried to think of what extra Lynn could have provided but didn't find anything. Very satisfied and as its close to the M1 it's very conveniently located and given the chance will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Not inpressed with the waiting time. Table was booked at 7pm ordered the meal. Still waiting an hour later. Only just been informed meal is being dished up. Not happy. Expected meal within at least half hour. Went to the bar for my own drinks, no staff around to ask.

Just driving back home now after spending a few nights here as a small break with my partner and one year old. And I will say everything was perfect, Lyn was such a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble for her. Lovely clean room which was plenty big enough for us and breakfast was beautifully laid out every morning ready and waiting for us, where we were able to sit outside by the garden and pool which was perfect. Very peaceful and quiet, only positive and kind words from us! Thank you so much for having us, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and if we're back in the area again in the future we would love to come back and stay again. Fantastic bed and breakfast!

Our first family weekend trip after lockdown was lifted and it was perfect! Lynne made sure that we had everything we needed and nothing was too much of an ask. We ate dinner on the patio next to the chiminea whilst listening to birds sing. We also got to enjoy the company of George and Jedi (the friendliest dogs in town) Pool is fantastic! Garden is glorious! Will absolutely return in future!

A lovely warm greeting from Lynn, the room was spacious warm, comfortable and full of small little welcome touches, such as a myriad of different varieties of tea, coffee, fresh milk in a small refrigerator, fresh water, selection of biscuits. The wifi was strong and reliable. Breakfast in Lyns kitchen was a delightful experience and the food freshly cooked in front of me and delicious. I cannot recommend this gem highly enough.

I must admit, after choosing the B&B because of a 9.6 rating on Booking.com I really had high expectations of this place, I wasn’t disappointed. The owner, Lynn, communicated via email to discuss any requirements and even phoned to check what time we’d arrive to make sure she’d be in. Lynn is one of the friendliest owners you could meet. She even introduced her dogs: a huge mastiff and a Jack Russell. As dog people, that was a highlight of my day! We even met a puppy over breakfast which was so cute! Dogs are kept well away from folk not keen though. Every single thing about the room is thoughtful: the massive tea selection in the drawers, the mini fridge with fruit juice and fresh milk, the phone charger in the wall, there were even some reading glasses and I found a pair of scissors just when I needed some. The teddies in the cupboard was a nice touch too for when kids stay. Breakfast was lovely, a tonne of choice - Lynn will make you whatever you like, she discussed with us when we arrived what we would like for breakfast the next day. It was very thoughtful and very well cooked! I’d wholeheartedly give it a 10/10 and recommend to everyone. I’d happily stay there again. I’d also recommend the Royal Oak a bit further along the road for food, it was lovely.

Lynn was a superb host, so hospitable and welcoming. She made us feel like part of the family. Breakfast was excellent, and nothing was ever a bother to her. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a home away from home while on holiday.

We had a really nice evening sat out in their garden watching the birds on the feeders. Dogs were good company too. Rooms were great with lots of snacks and drinks to keep us going. Slept well, nice and quiet. Room kept cool in the sun with the roof window. Breakfast was perfect and was done to all our requests. Recommend it.
