A B&B just located uphill 50 metres from Prea Beach and right next to the National park , Kite Brazil provides an ideal location for kite surfers and beach lovers alike. It offers free Wi-Fi, a buffet breakfast and an outdoor swimming pool. The private rustic wooden bungalows with direct contact to nature are embedded in a lush tropical garden. The spacious wooden bungalows at Kite Brazil, all beautifully appointed with amply shower rooms, all designed to make the most of local materials and artesanato. Colourful throws on the beds and shelves made out of old kite boards mix with polished concrete floors and inlaid old Portuguese tiling to give a totally unique eclectic feel to the living space which is completed with wrap around veranda, recliner and hammocks . As the constant wind provides natural ventilation there's no air-conditioning here, no TV , but you've got a individually shaped pool with loads of sun loungers, the beach on your doorstep and high speed wi-fi internet if you really can't do without your fix. The locally acquired buffet breakfast includes fresh fruits, breads and pancakes, as well as a selection of tropical fruit juices. Restaurants and bars can be found in Prea's village centre, 500 metres away. A tour desk provides buggies for trips and downwinds. Kite Brazil has a kite school providing private lessons, rental equipment and free gear storage. Guesthouse parking is free.

Found at Kite Brazil Hotel a perfect little paradise in the northeast of Brazil away from the big city at the entrance of Jericoacoara national park. Have been there already several times and can’t wait to go there again in December.

The Hotel is run by Dani and Hacky, a wonderful couple who is always available for help, advices and gives you the feeling from the first day at arrival to be a member of a great big family. Both are living already over 10 years in Brazil and Hacky opened in 1999/2000 already the first Kite-school in Brazil. After years of continuously hard work the place on a top a dune became a paradise. The Hotel consists of 7 separate chalets surrounded by lots of green and Palm trees incl. swimming pool. From the chalets you have a great ocean view. You have to try to be there at full moon period and stay relaxed at the swimming pool at night.

Short:
- Breakfast: gorgeous, no standard brazilian breakfast, you have a great daily choice of pancakes, self-made bread, different fresh juices, cereals, cakes etc.
- Chalets, accommodation and cleanliness: without using big words, it is perfect. No noise at night, daily cleaned by the staff.
- Location & safety:
-> closed by the famous village Jericoacoara which is reachable by buggy within a 15 min ride along the beach.
-> Safety: night guard every day, didn’t heard anything bad about this area. For every newcomer perfect place to get known a wonderful area of Brazil.
-> Night life and restaurants: In Prea you can find restaurants from low to high budget which you easily can reach by foot. To go to Jeri either join the Kite Brazil team or go via bus, buggy there (15 min max ride).
- Money: bring cash at the beginning but there is always an option to go to the next city and take money from ATMs. You can also pay at the Hotel with your credit card. Not accepted at ATMs are AMEX cards. Visa and Master are the most common used cards in Brazil.

Kiting and trips:
- For low weights please bring 6-8 sqm and others max 10 sqm as the wind is blowing constantly between 20 – 30 knts (average 24 knts).
- Don’t miss to go with the team on daily trips to several secret spots (depending on the time, it can be also a trip inside of the dunes which are not really known by others)
- Make downwinder trips shortly before sunset, around 8 km where you will be picked up by the team or your own buggy driver.
- Best place for kite surfing is around Prea whereas Jeri is more for Windsurfing. Check out the spot guide of Kite-Brazil-Hotel on their web site.
- kite-lessons: With Hacky you have one of the best kite teachers on the world. Many of kite-surfers worldwide went through his school to get on the board with success after classes.

Singles, couples, family:
- Independent if you are single, a couple, family it is a perfect place for everyone as you are always from the first day a part of the big family. Will not forget the lovely family from Seattle arriving with 4 teenagers and everyone of them was on the water or the single ones who made easily contact to others and fast new friends.

At least also to mention that you feel after one week being there (kiting, buggy trips etc) already as you would be there two weeks. Nature and adventure pure!

Beautiful place in Prea, the wooden cabins have all things you need and more.. very nice decoration, there is an eye for detail in everything. Waking up and the ocean is in front of you, coffee and breakfast are perfect. Hacky and Dani make you feel at home immediately, so much that it is very hard to leave the place. And the cherry on the cake are Iwan and Nina, such sweat hearts. Definetely a highly recommended place if you would love to stay in a family feel hotel with perfect quality and lovely people!

We will come back, for sure !!

Can't say enough good things about Kite Brazil!

It is run by Hacky and Dani who are extremely friendly and have been in Brazil for over 10 years running kite schools and pousadas. The place has a great kite boarding/surfing vibe. You will be looked after. Plan to meet some other good people there.

THE PLACE:

The place is new and modern (built within the last 4 yrs). A lot of attention is paid to detail overall and in each of the bungalows. Each bungalow is separate from the others and so they are private and no worries about noise. Wireless internet is good and fast. Lots of trees and tropical plants.

FOOD:

Breakfast is included (and it is good) - not just bread/juices. Each day - you come back from kiting - exhausted. The pousada will usually organize a group trip for dinner into town.

WIND/WATER:

The spot (Prea) is quite simply put a WIND MACHINE. It is not far from Jericoacoara (the famous windsurfer's paradise). Consistent wind between 20 and 30 knots almost every day during November (as well as other months). Using 7 sq meter kites almost every day.

OTHER:

Bring enough cash - as there is no ATM- although you can get a trip into a nearby town (25 minute drive) quite easily.

I stayed with Hacky and Dani a month in Nov/Dev with the ambition to learn how to Kitesurf.
I was greated with big smiles and friendliness from everyone when i arrived early in the morning and i quickly realized that this place is not a normal Pousada. Its not a place were you just stop by for a few days, its a place were you stay longer and feel right at home.
The owners really wants you to enjoy your stay, before i even looked for a dinner date they invited me to ride in the back of the Beach buggy to their local restaurant.
Also a big thanks to the kite instructor Andy, this guy is a pure inspiration, in his riding and lifestyle...

The houses are beautiful with old used surf gear as furniture/inventory and you can see that they put a lot of effort in to the place and scenery to make it a Private kite surf paradise.
The beds are made every day and put with beautiful flowers from the garden, the breakfast is full with fresh fruits and juices, scrambled eggs, coffee and whatever you preferences are...

Everything breads surf here, excellent storage for gear and washing/drying your equipment.

The location is amazing for Kitesurfing, just a few footsteps down to the local Kite spot, and you have several kilometers of beach all by your self.

The wind is strong and picks up a few hours after breakfast making the hammocks a great place to relax waiting for the wind to come and also after a long day in the warm waters.

My favorite was an early session and a second one later riding in the sunset...and if you you have your timing right, the tide brings in nice waves ;)

Brasil nothing is easy, especially when it comes to running a business, and in a remote location like this...just amazing what they have done!
If you want a quiet beach, strong winds and a place you can call your 2nd home this is the place to come...

I came as a guest and left as a friend

Thank you and cu again soon

This is my second year at Kite Brazil which is unheard of for me.

This posada takes an ideal kitesurfing location and makes it even better, comfortable beds, friendly staff, a fantastic breakfast and superb company.

The owners Hacky and Dani have owned the place for a while now and their team is fantastic, all the staff are so friendly and happy. Hacky is a superb kite instructor for novices or even pros who want to improve on specifics. Even better than his kiting are his brilliant stories!

You can go and have breakfast and coffee and then sit around by the well maintained pool or relax in the hammocks before heading down to one of the worlds greatest kite spots.

They have great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. They can also organise transport for you and because the site is still very personal to them yon find yourself meeting the other guest and comparing your day on the water.

For ease of stay and the treatment you receive coupled with the great attention to detail and great price I wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

Absolutely brilliant stay and absolutely NOTHING to improve upon.

Thanks again guys for an awesome stay. See you next year!

Kite Brazil Hotel and its owners Dani and Haki are just marvelous! The whole area is amazing regarding architectural design and the many little details that the owners have put into the rooms and the garden with a lot of love and good taste. You are always welcome at any time of day or night and Dani and Haki are never tired to have a nice chat or give valuable advice. And not to forget about the two dogs and the house cat who all made friends with us immediately. Certainly the Pousada highlight of our 3 week kitesurfing trip through Ceará in Brazil.

We consider ourselves very lucky to have stayed for 3 weeks in Dani & Hacky's little paradise. We instantly felt at home - actually it felt more like staying with friends rather than in a hotel. The bungalows are simply stunning, the entire place is extremely well looked after and the little details are amazing. The hotel is right by the beach on a small hill, with a kite spot right on your doorstep and great access to the rest of this huge bay and nearby lagoons, offering varied levels of kiting. Transport was usually arranged in the mornings when needed with very reliable drivers, which take you anywhere - thanks Sam :)

A few restaurants are in walking distance but most are located in Jeri which is about a 20min buggy ride along the beach from Prea - the buggy driver takes you there and picks you up again (costs approx R80 /buggy).

Prea, a small fishing village, is a 4hrs taxi ride from Fortaleza, but definitely worth the trip, and Dani kindly organised this private taxi for us - the other option would have been to take a 7hrs bus...

Prea is certainly the kite hotspot (all kiters from Jeri come across to Prea daily as Jeri is predominantly suitable for windsurfers) with plenty of space for everyone with all abilities both on the water and on the beach. No risk of stumbling over sunbathing tourists. The wind works like clockwork - it comes in every day about 10am as if someone's switched a flick :)

All in all we loved this place - it's perfect for a relaxing kitesurfing holiday with great people!!!

It definitely deserves the best review and it will exceed your expectations!!!

My boyfriend and I travel a lot looking for a nice place to go kitesurfing. This year we decided to try Prea and stay at Kite Brazil Hotel. We did not know what to expect either from the hotel or from Praia do Prea. The pictures in the internet were nice but again sometimes they can be very deceiving but when we got there we could not believe how nice the whole place were. Dani and Hacky are the couple who owe the pousada, both of them are very artistic and pay attention to every single detail, making the place magic with a lovely atmosphere. Besides that, the couple really takes take of you, making sure you have the most of your holidays no matter if you are here for kiting or just relaxing. So far, the best experience we had, thank you Dani and Hacky for all special attention and care. Next year we are back for more!

Have you ever gone on a kitesurfing holiday experienced the wind on the first day and then for the rest of the time nothing..... well this holiday was a dream come true for us. Wind every day and constant, the sun was shining and it was toasty warm. Prea is a beautiful place to stay, a stunning 15km long beach - a down wind heaven and enough room to experiment to your hearts content. Kite Brazil is fabulous it is right next to the national park and the accommodation is luxurious. Each bungalow is kitted out differently and maintained to a high standard, and to top it off there is a lovely pool as well. The owners Hacky and Dani are very welcoming and can't do enough for you. The atmosphere is friendly and you quickly make friends with other guests. If you are looking for a chilled out holiday with consistant wind and waves then this is the spot…. Having travelled the world and kitesurfed on the way, the total package of location, people and weather has caused us to go back for 3 months!

I have traveled around the world and Kite Brazil is the best pousda I have stayed. My boyfriend, a kitesurfer, drags me to Prea, Brazil twice a year, and Kite Brazil is the only place I will stay. Prea is a remote fishing town where everyone kites because the wind is perfect. Jeri is the "larger" town 30 mins away where everyone stays. But Jeri is loud and crowded at night. Kite Brazil is the perfect refuge from NYC. I sit and read in the hammock and take long walks on Prea's remarkable and endless beach. For dinner and lunch we walk to local fish and pizza resturants. The owners make you feel like a member of their family. Their Posada is a labor of love and you see and feel the love at every turn. And, for my fellow New Yorkers, the coffee is excellent and served promptly at 8am. Kite Brazil is paradise! Love it here!
