I came here in July 2015 with a friend and stayed for four nights. There's no wifi so we were able to completely relax and unwind which is exactly what we wanted. It's a little further out of Amed on a private beach so is very peaceful. The staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive. The food in the restaurant... More

The other reviews made such a big deal of the "no internet" policy here, and talked about being far from everything, such that I thought this place would be really remote and set off by itself. Far from it! It's right in the middle of a little town area, though it's not a touristy area so there are not that... More

Far away from Amed, No internet, No phone network, beach not really nice to go swimming. The breakfast is really basic. The price for a room is not justify against the proposed services. Room was not too clean, lot of insects.

Pros: -Nice view from room. -Quiet, away from road. -Friendly work staff (not the owner). -Snorkeling right off their beach with some areas of live coral. Cons: -The lodging was overpriced for the Amed area considering the quality of the room. The room was backpacker-quality as described below. -Dangerous entry and bathroom (we're athletic so it was not age or... More

THE BEST and most pleasant place I found after 7 week journey in Indonesia!! Staying in bungalow no. 2 built in traditional bamboo style, with beautiful view on sea, with relaxing bed on terrace, meeting helpfull staff speaking good English together with enjoying special balinese kitchen prepared only on their ceremony time (Jukut Urrab, balinese green leave vegetable with freshly... PROS: -Authentic bamboo huts near the ocean (there is a wall separating the rooms from the actual beach). -The hotel's Laughing Buddha restaurant offers jamu (traditional Balinese medicinal drink made from various herbs). CONS: -VERY far from Amed - to get anywhere, like when we wanted to eat at a restaurant outside of the hotel's Laughing Buddha, we had to... More

Dear Severino, like the owner of this place I have to react on your unpleasant review saying that we really do not have any bed bugs here! Our place is clean and we try our best to keep it like this all the time. We had a lot of customers staying in the same room as you did, before you... More

We absolutely loved the two nights we spent at Meditasi it was so peaceful and the people which run the place are very friendly and welcoming. This is the place to stay to get away from the tourist crowds and do nothing but relax if you need action this isn't the place for you. The rooms were basic but clean... More

My friend & I did not actually book a stay at Meditasi, but I guess that says something about how welcoming and kind the owner (Smiling Buddah) and his staff are. We had made friends with another group of travelers, and they were incredibly exited to show us just how beautiful the accommodation they had found for themselves was, not... More

I felt immersed in authentic Bali and pure nature during my stay. Showering with the sun kissing my shoulders through the bougainvillea and falling frangipani flowers, waking up to the sun rising over the crashing ocean, the incredible reef just steps outside of the immaculate garden - bliss! The staff are so beautiful, it was such a joy to stay... More

My beach front bungalow (No 5) was wonderfully located - view of the ocean over the fence, lots of air and light, a heavenly day bed on the deck, 2 bedrooms which was a surprise but very convenient. The plumbing has certainly seen better days but everything worked. Restaurant also well located, facing the gateway to the beach, and the... More
