Detailed Reviews
We stayed 2 nights at Bali Dream House as part of our honeymoon. We were in Amed primarily for Scuba diving, and weren't as interested in luxury accommodations as on other parts of our honeymoon. The Amed area in general doesn't seem to have as many luxury type accommodations as other parts of Bali. Even though Bali Dream House was one of the more expensive options in the area, it still did not have as many amenities as hotels in other parts of Bali.
We enjoyed the location was just close to the "downtown" area of Amed, and walkable to several restaurants, although we wouldn't recommend walking anywhere, especially at night as there are no sidewalks and the roads are narrow and very dark.
The pool was nice and we ate breakfast right on the beach and went for a beach walk from the property, which butts up right to the sand.
While the rooms were air conditioned, the placement of the air conditioner in our room made it so that the entire room couldn't get as cool as we would have liked.
The breakfast options were limited and not the highest quality breakfast, but was more or less what we were expecting at this type of hotel. It was included in the price and did the job of filling us up before our day.
Overall we would recommend Bali Dream house because it seemed to be as nice or nicer than several of the hotels around, but it is a bit sparse in terms of amenities compared to other hotels in Bali.

We stayed 3 nights and wished we had stayed more. Sure, it is not 5 star, but you are not paying 5 star prices. We booked an ocean view bungalow and these are perfectly located right by the pool and you get stunning ocean views from your front porch. So peaceful and serene with the sound of crashing waves at night! Because the resort is so small, there is no hassle over loungers, you are very private and can just relax. Breakfast can be delivered to your room or by the pool if you want and as per other reviews, it is totally adequate. The restaurant serves basic but tasty meals so you don't even have to leave if you don't want. The rooms are large, showers hot, plenty of storage and the bed not too hard (unlike others we have stayed in Bali). Yes, it is a little isolated but for us, that was part of its charm - no traffic noise, no music from nearby pubs! We would not hesitate to book again!

We stayed at the Bali dream house for 3 nights in one of their two sea view villas. Don’t let the reception desk fool you- this was such a luxurious stay! At first impression couldn’t have believed what amazing service the young staff gave! Their English was impeccable and so friendly. Helped with every single request—including arranging massaged, transport, in and every meal was made perfect to order and even delivered to our room! We had a huge and great breakfast delivered to our room every morning! So we could sit on our private patio and look out at the sea as we ate. The food was all pretty good and pretty cheap! Admittedly the menu was limited but the convenience was amazing. They even cleaned our room every day and brought fresh towels, provided free amenities and snorkel stuff and were just overall very attentive and kind. The room itself was impressive with great working AC, a gorgeous view, RIGHT NEXT TO THE POOL AND OCEAN. Everything was comfortable and worked well. The only complaint was probably the biggest loudest lizard I’ve ever seen showed up in our room the first night- the staff came down and explained it was a Tokyu gecko and very common and harmless. He was noisy but whatever there was nothing could be done and that’s what you get staying in a rain forest. It wasn’t a big deal and not that disturbing actually. There’s a super great view if you come out the hotel on the main road and turn right walking back toward Amed beach. The mountain is gorgeous and though we couldn’t see it from our beach front it wasn’t a far walk. Also down that way definitely recommend going to Sama Sama and having their curry and pizza! Super awesome and affordable! If you exit the hotel and go left there’s about a ten minute walk (cross the bridge and up on your left) is an ADI store that had aloe and pretty OK wine and beer and other essentials. Amed beach was very mystical and difference and its not a beach for laying out but the stones and black sand were a cool sight. Really pleased with this stay and it was almost too much luxury for my normal travel taste but a good balance. This is a great getaway from the usual lovely Bali white sand beach and over touristic strips. Only about thirty minutes from Taman Ujung (water palace).

+1
The bali dream house is composed of 4 rooms, two facing the sea and two a bit higher close to the road side. It was definitely a very good experience in a quiet, lovely, peaceful, clean, and well located villa.
We had the chance to have one of the two villas which faces the sea, the view was gorgeous (you can see the pictures above). The staff is directly very friendly with you and help you finding every solutions to make you move, or doing activities during your days staying there.
The villa is located close to the sea, lots of warungs and diving schools. so it's just perfect.we've rented a motorbike though.
I DO RECOMEND THIS PLACE ! ;)

The Bali Dream House
I wish I could offer glowing or at least dialectical endorsements for one reason or another, but the best word I can use is 'copacetic,' in an average sort of way. There are reasons to choose Bali Dream House and there are reasons, perhaps, to reconsider. First, the town of Amed is actually larger than we had initially supposed. The Bali Dream house seems to be on the farther end of the town. The benefit here is that it is quieter, thus less hectic, and more secluded. The other side of that currency is that there are limited choices in restaurants, particularly at night because the nightfall is so “black.” You really cannot walk far because you just cannot see. If you do not want to eat at the hotel, your choices are almost limited to the epicure of nearby hotels. There is minimal shopping, aside from an occasional street peddler. Last but not least, it is way off the beaten path. The up-to-date room was handsome with a beautiful modern bathroom. There is satellite TV with DVD capability in a little alcove with a couple of bamboo framed cushioned settees. There is a safe in the room, with a somewhat small closet space with shelves (but oh well), and a misquito net neatly hanging and tied over the bed, if you should choose to use it. The room was tidy with large curtained windows that allowed you to hear the ocean at night. This sounds "foolproof" except that it was not. The "coffee table," right next to the coffee pot, was a low table that could cause a serious accident for the unsuspecting or forgetful. Upon entry, we were cautioned not to jolt the smart bamboo table because it was unstable. The question I kept to myself was "So, why is this table in the room?" During a ‘wake up’ in the middle of the night, my friend slightly bumped the unbalanced table and it tipped over, breaking the glasses resting upon it and scattering all personal items every which way. Thus, we were awakened in those wee hours sweeping up glass, without a broom, and looking for the “thingamajigs” that had flung every which way. In those tense moments, I wished that I had asked the question that was “kept to myself” earlier. Anyway, who should remember those warnings of things that should function, especially in a fuzzy-minded sleep state? Next, without nitpicking too much, the high ceiling in our room made the air-conditioning precarious at times, with very warm airflow until the “finally” cool was apparent. Most importantly, there are formidable stairs to get down to the rooms. They are winding, strenuous, and straight-down (or straight-up, as it were), especially if you are carrying any object at all. It really does require ‘all hands on deck.’ This very steep decline does take you to a private respite, but it is worth understanding this design feature before you book. There is a beautiful swimming pool, well kept and ample that looks upon an amazing seaview. The surroundings with an array of flowers, plants, and trees are aesthetically satisfying. There are just a few steps that walk you further down onto the “beach.” Your time could be better spent because the charcoal-looking rocks are almost unsightly. Younger girls and women come most afternoons from neighboring communities to offer massages. The massages were highly rated by those who partook. At the same time, there were very young children appealing to our “softhearted side” to buy their curios while we read or sunbathed. These young people were never rude and they kept their distance, but their subtle tenacity was hard to overlook, even after a polite refusal. Nonetheless, we wistfully considered that they were just trying to make a living. Perhaps the hotel could offer them a venue upstairs in a more active area. There is a restaurant on site right upstairs. The food was good classic Indonesian with equal "Western" offerings on the menu. If you like geckos, you will love the restaurant. There are geckos lining the ceiling and upper walls. I learned to appreciate the little creatures when I learned how well they keep insects under control and they are harmless to humans. I even heard the geckos push out their own name...“G-gec KO!” It was quite a treat to witness. The service was pleasant. All said and thoughtfully contemplated, despite the undeniable attractions, unfortunately, the negatives were a counterbalance. The Bali Dream House was definitely not a Bali Nightmare, it just was not a fantasy for me on any level.

Unfortunately we had poor weather so could not experience this hotel at its best. In saying this the hotel rooms are very good, staff great and grounds well kept.
NB THERE ARE HEAPS OF VERY STEEP STAIRS.
Pros.
Snorkelling directly off the beach
Very nice, large rooms.
Helpful, friendly staff.
Cons.
Ac was undersized/ poorly placed for our room however good in my parents room.
Very musty smell.
Tv small and no English chanels
Not much within easy walking distance.
Food was average and little choice close by.
Very steep stairs
I would stay again however I'd prefer somewhere flatter

Beautiful place right on the beach, 4 little bungalow/villas, very well maintained, the staff are very very helpful. Stayed here for 2 nights, just turned up and checked availability as it looked nice, was quoted around $90 but haggled to $60 for the front beach view villas, if you go just turn up as on booking.com the price is $94 but you can easily haggle with the great staff. Breakfast is included, as well as free snorkel equipment for viewing the amazing coral and marine life Amed has to offer

We have been there 4 times so far and we just love the place.
The hotel is very cosy, as it can host maximum 8 guests (4 villas) and there are only the same 8 persons working there, which enables you to feel like at home very quickly. The staff are excellent - friendly, caring and helpful.
The location is superb - just by the ocean with a reef a few metres from the shore line. The area is rural and very quiet with no noisy discos or clubs. There is no night life at all so it's a perfect place for those who seek relax, peace and for diving fans.
The villas are comfortable, clean and well equipped with all necessary amenities (air condition, safe box, refrigerator, hair dryer, TV set). Amazing open bathroom. The villas are surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden and although the area is not so big, each house ensures privacy. Apart from the restaurant the meals can be ordered/served either in the room or at the swimming pool. Snorkeling equipment is available at the reception for free.
There are a lot of 'warungs' and a small supermarket within walking distance. Also 3 ATMs are available nearby.

They also offer you a free snorkeling equipment. The location is right on the beach. We will come back to this property when we are in Amed

Bali Dream House is a great place if you are staying in Amed! The rooms are very nice (make sure you have a beach view bungalow), clean and at a fair price. Staff is very friendly and helpful. A little paradiese... Only food is compared to other places rather lower average. But besides that we can highly recommend Bali Dream House for staying in Amed!
