The Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya stands out for its vibrant atmosphere and personalized celebrations, as guests often mention. Its well-appointed rooms offer ocean views, though there have been some concerns regarding room allocation and upkeep. The hotel's amenities, including a bountiful breakfast buffet and a clean, beautiful beach, receive consistent accolades, as does the engaging kids club. While the secluded location is perfect for peaceful relaxation, some travelers find the dining and amenities to be pricey. The service is generally lauded for its warmth and attentiveness, despite occasional lapses in speed and consistency.

The ambience is by far the most amazing thing I’ve experienced at a resort. The customer service is top tier. They greet & welcome you upon arrival serving you a snack and a drink. This place is literally stunning. The architecture is unreal!! There are a lot of great places to relax and take photos. They have multiple restaurants, bars and pools. It’s a very exclusive private feel resort which I very much enjoyed as I was with my girlfriends. The gym was amazing! We did yoga almost every morning, one day being on the beach. They have a great fitness schedule that includes a full body workout, bike tours, yoga, Pilates and more! Carolina & Allen were our amazing instructors with top notch customer service. The cleaning service was absolutely amazing. Overall I would highly recommend this resort to anyone travelling solo, with their significant other or friends. It’s also very kid friendly as they have a kids club. I really enjoyed my stay at this resort and I would definitely come back! Thank you Conrad for having us! As Hilton Diamond members we always get the best services from our Hilton Honors Club. I stayed there in July 2022, promiss my wife to return in December 2022, we booked the last week of December, we had fun on NYE party and enjoyed this pristine hotel. We had a buttler, two Queen beds room, balcony and jacuzzi located outside the balcony. This is not The Hilton Hotel they are located both in the same place " Tukal Tulum" but each has it's separated main entrance. Conrad is one of the three luxurious chain of Hilton, is more expensive and therefore more exclusive. Conrad is not " all inclusive" you pay out of your pocket everything you will eat. Hilton is " all inclusive". The food and the 5 restaurants are very Good. When We arrived we had in our room gourmet chocolate free, 4 bottles of glass water, coffee maker and Bar because we are " Diamond members " The sea weed is Cleaned every day,so beach is clean, we enjoyed to take the sun in front of the sea shore. Kids are all over but well behaved, this is a Pet Friendly hotel ( we love it). Maretea Restaurant served an excelente Fish of the day made to order and grilled octopus, is what we eat everywhere we go here in Quintana Roo. Arbolea is where you get breakfast, has too many stations and vegan options, Yes on the last week of December we were too many but service always was Good, we stayed until January 3th and the employees never ever failed us, to all guest, tip each person here, their salaries are not good, they are cutting edges, don't be cheap, tip the people who served you. We always did every single minute. I like the room, beach, employees, food, location and architectural design of this building,is just GORGEOUS it's reminds me of the " Alambra Castle " in Granada-Spain. When the sun goes down you will take extraordinary pictures of the sun reflecting on the mirror water located on the main door. Just breath taking! Thank you Conrad Tulum we see you soon!

Visited there as a couple this June. The place is absolutely gorgeous, one of the most beautiful hotels we have visited. But the best part was the personnel that made us feel welcomed and valued as guests. From Jordhi our concierge to Fer at the pool bar, everyone was amazing.

The beach was full of sargassum but every day there were groups of workers from 8 to 4 with shovels trying to deal with the problem as much as possible. Either way we enjoyed the pools to the maximum, there are at least 5 or 6 pools that make the place feel very private.
Something important to keep in mind is that it is not an all inclusive, and the resort is not very close to anything else so I would recommend for the best experience to have a rental car and explore the many Cenotes and parks like Xel-Ha and eat in restaurants in Tulum or somewhere else. With a car you will be within 20 minutes of lots of food and entertainment options. Without a car then you’ll quickly discover that the food and drink options are limited and very, very expensive. Especially the drinks, a Tecate Light for $9 USD and a cocktail for $15 and up. So to really enjoy it rent a car! It is worth it!
The room was perfect with a super comfortable bed, an amazing shower with a big window so you can take a shower and enjoy the beautiful view of the jungle and the sea. The toiletries were delicious! And all the rooms have a little two person tub on the balcony that makes for a perfect evening retreat with a bottle of wine on hand. On arrival we were upgraded to the partial ocean view suite and offered a full ocean view for about $70 USD per night. We declined and stayed with the partial ocean view which honestly it was perfect since it was in the second floor and all the rooms face the ocean. So the view is absolutely gorgeous as long as you are not on the first floor which is the jungle view.
We did not eat at the hotel since we preferred going to Tulum for local food instead of the Mediterranean or sushi options at the hotel. But the breakfast we did enjoy every day and it was one the best breakfast buffets we ever had. The food was very high quality and you could ask for anything and they will prepare it fresh. Chilaquiles, omelettes, fresh fruit plates, French toast… Everything absolutely delicious!!
So we highly recommend this hotel for a romantic escape.

We stayed here for 4 nights around the Labor Day weekend. It’s a brand new property and everything including all the furniture and fixtures was beautiful and tasteful. The entire property feels very spacious. There are 4 pools in different areas of the property and it never felt crowded. I also liked the row rise buildings which contributed to the spacious feel of the property. It also meant there was always a long walk to and from the main building and pools but it was a pleasant exercise. The gym had a good number of treadmills and we enjoyed the intimate abs and glutes training classes. The seaweed is an obvious distraction. The crew was cleaning the beach all day every day but it seemed endless. It didn't bother me much but you do I believe it's seasonal so you would want to check when there's less of them. In addition to the seaweed it was the hurricane season and for two days we had heavy rains but it brought down the temperature and we didn’t mind at all.  The service was very good all around.

We enjoyed dining at Autor Mexican and Maratea Mediterranean restaurants. Ukai Japanese restaurant was a hit and miss. I found the prices to be high and the menu didn’t seem well designed. For example there was no set sushi menu so you’d need to order each nigiri separately (about $7 apiece) which brings the total bill to be quite high even compared to high-end sushi restaurants in NYC. You are a captive audience in this remote location and I felt being taken advantage of. The breakfast buffet had a very good selection. I loved the made to order huevos rancheros. We ordered shrimp whenever we saw it on the menu. They are local and always delicious at any restaurant.

I fell in love with this property the minute we exited the car. I was so impressed with the beauty of the entrance and the lobby that I could not stop looking around at everything. They truly brought all of the elements from the area into this hotel, limestone, water, wood and plants all joined together with local art. No part of this resort is above the tree line, you are truly nestled and one with nature.

We were greeted when we arrived by Shenari, our amazing concierge who coordinated getting us transportation from the airport. Check in was so relaxing and everyone was so helpful.

We had dinner at Autor, where the chef in residence was Chef Fito Mendoza, and had the most amazing fish dishes and tequila beverages. The staff was so accommodating to all of our preferences.

Every room faces the beach / ocean with a private balcony with a bathtub. The rooms are large and comfortable. No plastic bottles, everything is glass and there is a water machine in each building so you can fill your re-usable containers. The water at this resort is all safe to drink.

Breakfast at Arbolea was out of this world! They have indoor and outdoor seating and a breakfast buffet that never seemed to end. You absolutely have to have the french toast, it is the most amazing french toast you will ever have. It is made to order right in front of you and is a work of art. They will make omelettes, quesadillas, chilaquiles or eggs to order in front of you. Tons of fresh juices, sides, cereals, fruit, pastries etc. The hotel does have deals that come with free breakfast so check for that!

We enjoyed sitting in the infinity pool sipping drinks and eating appetizers from the pool bar, while we watched the sun set. The nachos, chips, salsas and guacamole were all delicious. The resort is so quiet and calm, we were able to enjoy a peaceful evening in the pool relaxing until 10pm.

This was our first time in Tulum so we had booked several excursions that took us away from the resort, while we enjoyed getting to see and experience the culture of the area we truly did not want to leave this amazing resort each day.

I only have one suggestion for this resort, please add a shop that carries bathing suits for silly travelers like us who forget to pack one.

We just returned from a 4 night/5 day stay at this property and cannot recommend it enough! We arrived hours before check-in time, but the sweet front desk staff sent us off to breakfast while housekeeping finished up preparing our room. We booked a standard room but because of our Hilton Diamond status, we were upgraded to a partial ocean view room, which we then paid to upgrade to an ocean view room.

As Hilton Diamond members, we received free breakfast at Arbolea daily, and wow, was the breakfast buffet amazing. There was a chilaquiles station, an avocado toast station, french toast station, and an omelet station. There are many juices and coffees to choose from, as well as Mexican hot chocolate, chocolate banana milkshake, etc. There’s smoked salmon, chia pudding, and all kinds of fruit for those who want to eat healthy while on vacay. The staff at Arbolea are the sweetest - I can’t say enough nice things about Maria, Tania, Andrès, and Edgar. They make you feel at home and are constantly checking in on you - this warmth is something you don’t find at most resorts and make all the difference.

For a little snack in between meals or for a sweet treat, Cafetal offers delicious ice cream and has an assortment of things you might have forgotten at home. I had an allergic reaction to bug bites and was able to find a topical gel here. Staff are so sweet here as well.

The pool area is beautiful and we spent the majority of our stay here. The pool staff, just like everyone else who keeps this property in tip top shape, were wonderful as well. It was so nice that we opted out of a formal dinner on a couple nights and just ordered off the pool bar menu instead.

We would definitely love to return to Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya again! Gracias por todo!

This resort does just about everything right. Starting with the very friendly staff, the stunning common spaces, pools, restaurants, spa and of course the rooms. The spa was extremely serene and beautiful, the staff there very good and the options nearly endless. The restaurants are very good too, with a nice variety that allowed us the opportunity to try different things every night. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The rooms are large and very well designed with great closet space, bathrooms and outdoor space. the linens and toiletries were lovely. The gym is very well equipped too. Even after 8 days I wanted to stay.

One gripe is that on several days the room was not cleaned until 3 or 4 pm (and then only after I called).

Also turndown service was uneven. Some days yes, some days no. Some days a mat by the bed, some days no. And once they forgot to leave bath mats.

The housekeeping issues emerged mid-week after a busy weekend, which I thought was weird.

Also, I think the minibar and restaurant prices were very steep. I saw the cart going around everyday to replenish the minibar. It is not a complicated or expensive service for the hotel, so I viewed the prices as unjustified and opportunistic and simply did not use it. If prices were fair I would have. they need to find a better “happy medium” for guest and resort.

The restaurant prices were also very high. More like New York or San Francisco than Riveria Maya. We ate at all of them ,some twice), and all were really quite good. We had had only one complaint about the food (the pizza at the Mediterranean spot was really terrible).

I am currently at the Conrad Riviera Maya Tulum on a solo trip just to relax and unplug. I wanted to make sure some real, positive experience is shared. The executive summary is definitely book your holiday here.

First of all, this brand new resort will be successful, in my opinion, simply because of the generous, warm, and authentic Mexican culture and staff. The staff here is amazing, kind, and attentive. I’ve had the pleasure to stay at Four Seasons and the like, and the team here by far is as or even more more engaging and caring. I hope corporate is paying attention.

The design of the main building truly is stunning and awe inspiring. The physical layout of the large resort is approachable and easy to navigate and there is something for everyone, I feel. The resort encompasses 7 main buildings (6 residence areas plus the main entry/restaurant complex) and is spread out along a small private lagoon. Multiple pools, multiple beaches, and incredible restaurants.

I haven’t yet tried every restaurant, but I can say everything I’ve had so far is top notch. Shrimp and steak tacos were incredibly flavorful and fresh. The hot habañero salsa is sufficiently hot for northerners 😂. I love spicy food and for me it could be double the heat but I know many guests don’t eat spicy food like that. But it was a spicy salsa with layers of flavor. Very memorable and has made me order tacos for lunch every day.

Marateo was wonderful and cooked a perfect rack of lamb with the most flavorful pistachio crust. The coconut shrimp ceviche from room service was the without question the best ceviche or seafood dish I’ve yet had. I look forward to omakase from their Japanese inspired restaurant Ukai tonight and their flagship Mexican and Mayan influenced Autor before I leave.

My room was the single king bed room with tropical view and a plunge pool on its own patio. It was a delete to relax there, and on the spacious beach, or by the pool. The room I was in was more than spacious for a lengthy stay and was equally comfortable to read a book, do some work (unfortunately), or watch a little news in the morning or evening.

I also spent time at the spa and the amenities are wonderful, from dry sauna to steam sauna to cold plunge pool and warm jet pool. The spa is located in a separate location on property but far enough away it truly feels like an escape from stress.

As the property is brand new, there are still some updates happening. This is no surprise in the course of a pandemic with significant supply chain issues and I would hope people fortunate to vacation in such a resort would pause to reflect on this.

This is hands down one of the best resorts we have stayed at. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with the most amazing service, including being ushered into an air conditioned private waiting room and offered ice cold fresh juice. The property is absolutely gorgeous, and every restaurant on property has truly phenomenal fresh food. During our last night, we decided to dine in our rooms and watch the waves crash against the shore from our balcony. George from in-room dining took care of everything! From making sure we had extra cocktails for the adults and special desserts for the kids, he made our night in extra special! Thank you to the entire Conrad team for an amazing stay. Can’t wait to come back again very soon.

Get ready to enjoy this luxurious secluded resort in one of Mexico's hottest destination!  From the moment I arrived, I had a sense of ease and tranquility.  When you enter the lobby, you are immediately greeted by sweeping ocean views.  As you walk around the property, you will see the mangroves, the beautiful private beach, the elegant furnishings, wood work and natural colors throughout.  It's just the perfect fusion of a laid-back atmosphere and high end resort.

The resort offers various dining options from casual to sophisticated dining experience.  Arbolea (wake up in paradise), offering a breakfast kitchen concept.  My favorite was the chilaquiles station where they prepared them to my liking.  Edgar, the restaurant manager made sure everything was perfect so you can feel that you are "waking up in paradise"!  At Autor and Maratea, the food was exquisite.  I very much enjoyed the wine pairings.  The sommelier, Aaron, gave a brief description of the wines being served.  I was very impressed with his knowledge.

There are several ocean front pools, hot tubs, a well equipped gym, and a spa with an extensive menu of body rituals, a sensory water ritual, outdoor pool, sauna, and steam facilities.  My massage started with a Mayan Ritual which made this experience extraordinary.  I also took the yoga class with Francesca  and it was fantastic.  She made everyone feel comfortable regardless of their level.  I'm a beginner and felt relaxed at all times.  I highly recommend you join her yoga class during your stay.

My room was on the second floor with a private balcony and soaking tub.  The ocean views were spectacular.  I enjoyed watching the sunrise every morning.  The room amenities were just perfect.

The staff was friendly and always attentive to the guest's needs!  The service throughout the resort was above and beyond my expectations.  Overall, it was an amazing, relaxing, and memorable stay.  I highly recommend staying here.

Thank you Joye, Javier and management team for everything.  RC

Is a car recommended overall and/or if you wish to dine outside of the resort?

I would recommend a car. The Conrad itself is part of a gated community and the walk to the gate is a good 15-20 minutes. Some guests had to meet their Uber drivers at the gate. Additionally, the resort is in Akumal, which is much more quiet than Tulum. If you’re looking for extensive dining options, you’ll need to drive 30 minutes to Tulum

The pools are heated. We were there in winter and the water was refreshing, but neither hot nor cold

We didn't stay in the Ceiba Club. The rooms are the same, just preferable location and access to the Club lounge. Eating at the club lounge didn't appeal to us so we spent the money elsewhere. I would go for the full ocean view; it's spectacular. I would expect mid march to be busy. Occupancy was low in November but staff said it would pick up some soon.
