Overall, taking into account the weekend package price, can't really complain. Clean, comfortable bed and polite staff. Beer pretty good though overpriced. However, before paying more a potential guest might want to know a bit more. Our room (5) directly over bar area so noisy until pub closes. Hot water system inadequate - a trickle and dried up completely at...

Thank you for taking time to write a comment it seems to me rather than going to any place to just chill and relax you are both just looking to pick holes, as you do tend to write many reviews, all of them regarding value. I will however answer your gripes. We are in the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake...

We have just stayed at the Cross Keys Inn for two nights with a groupon deal. The inn has lovely character and was an excellent base from which to explore and all the staff were friendly and so helpful, thank you. We will hopefully be back again

Good points first ....... we booked through groupon so got a good deal. it is easy to get to ample free parking, we stayed in one of the lodges so easy access with the dogs. Nice Clean bedding and towels. Dogs could stay with us in the pub with separate areas allocated for them. Little niggles ....... dont expect to...

Thank you for your comments as it gives us a chance to put our side to the story right here where people do read comments, which is quite obvious that is what you are trying to do to make us look bad when we know 100% we are not! We only ever got one answer left on our machine from...

We recently bought a Groupon voucher which included a 2-night stay + £10 dinner credit per person. We decided to leave a day earlier due to Storm Barbara; and we tried to settle all outstanding payment before we left. The staff on duty insisted that we pay the full dinner amount even though we showed her the Groupon voucher. She...

Couldn't be more accommodating for my coeliac son as nothing on menu was marked as gluten free. Chef came and talked about what he could make that was safe for him to eat. One happy little boy and mummy.

Stayed for 2 nights and it was a very good deal. The staff are all friendly and attentive, the chalet we stayed in was comfortable and we ate very well both nights. Coupled with the good beers and roaring fire ideal for a base to explore what the Eden valley has to offer. Nothing in Tebay itself but 5 minutes...

We think it ticks all the boxes, our room was very comfortable, one of the chalets at the back, we took our dog Ted with us and we were made to feel very welcome. All the staff were very attentive and friendly with the lovely open fire in the pub lounge where we had two lovely pub meals and a...

Never stayed here but usually try and pop in for a pint and a meal if in the area. It can come across as a bit rough and ready but it's all the better for that I think ( more earthy I would call it) less touristy than many pubs in the area. Good home cooked fresh food and great...

Stopped over for one night on the way back from Loch Ness, stayed in the chalets to the rear of the pub. Excellent re-furbished accommodation, clean and tidy and a lovely comfortable bed. Also happy to accommodate our dog too !!! Had drinks and evening meal in the bar by the sweltering log fire, excellent service and food was marvellous....
