Despite the amazing reviews of this location, I was a bit sceptical of what I might find. But from the moment I drove up the hill into the property, I knew I had truly arrived paradise. I stayed for 4 nights in villa 9 at the far end of the property which had a hammock, and the views from atop this place are amazing, especially at sunrise and sunset. Down the hill and across the road, is a scenic entrance to one of the many public beaches spread across the island. I should have explored it more though. I enjoyed the few walks and the many drives I made from the residence to some amenities. I loved the antique feel of the house, and I was amazed by its matching level of functionality, although the kitchen was lacking a few utensils for effective cooking. I enjoyed my dinner on the terrace a lot, soaking in the cool breeze from the sea. The host Mayna was helpful with some recommendations, even though my initial payment to confirm my booking was mixed up somehow, and I ended up spending additional time at the airport trying to sort that all out. They have a library where you can borrow books to read from too. If I ever returned to the island for a longer stay, I'll love to stay at La Residence again.…

We spent our holiday a La Resisence and since our arriving we got the sensation that we did the right choice. Very good location with amazing view on the Anse La Mouche and on the back to the forest, very good size Studio with everything we need, full furnished kitchen and nice balcony. The host Mayna was very helpful and reliable, ready to help us if we need any informations. The location is 15 minutes drive from the best beaches of the Island and 20 minutes from the airport and Victoria the capital. I really recommend this place if you want to spend a lovely and relaxing time in Mahè.

Great place to stay at with close proximity to several stunning beaches on the south side of the island. We stayed in a 2-bedroom villa for 3 nights. Everything about the property exceeded expectations. It is very well maintained and kept very clean.

I stayed at this property for 3 days and trust me it was magical. We were there for a wedding ceremony and this place definitely made the entire experience outstanding. The hotel staff was polite and hospitable. We stayed in villa no. 7 and the view from this villa was breathtaking. Right on top of the mountain. I was literally waking up early just for the wonderful this villa had to offer. Extremely calm, bit away from the city and close to nature just what you came for. Absolutely stunning ocean view is what you get to see from this villa. The living room and the kitchen is quite spacious with all the possible necessities. The rooms has a very beachy look too decorated with sea blue net. Hammock to relax and entire the view from the top. Enough parking space for your rental car. There are couple of restaurants around for dine in n take away. Few supermarkets were also spotted around the place. Over all we were happy with the choice we made to stay at this lovely property. Thank you guys for amazing hospitality and I can't wait to visit again very soon.…

Would truly recommend a stay here and especially in the villas. Amazing views and the one we stay in is fairly private on the side of the property. We love both the inside and out! Staff very accommodating and even let us stay until our late flight for what we believe is a small fee for staying a whole day after what was meant to be checkout. Some nice bird life on the terrace and truly well kept gardens and pathways. The beds are made, which is nice too. Hammock and calm surroundings!

Great place with a colonial climate. We stayed on the first floor, the apartment is very spacious with a fan and air conditioning. Although some renewal could be done, it was exceptionally clean and we lacked nothing. Before I booked it, I was afraid of two things - insects and location. There were almost no mosquitoes, but ants did appear, but they appear all over Seychelles. It turned out that these ants are miniature and not harmful at all. They appear only where something arouses their interest. You just have to throw away the flowers that decorate the room and leave no food leftovers, they won't come. The location turned out great. La Residence is located in a little tourist part of the island in a very calm and quiet place by a beautiful blue lagoon, which is extremely impressive, the colors of the water are dazzling. The beach is very narrow but sufficient. You can see this lagoon from the apartment. On the other steep side of the building is a view of the jungle. From the balcony you can observe from very close fruit bats and hummingbirds as well as tropicbirds flying over the jungle. We rented a car through the hotel and we were very pleased, the lady who provided us with a car at the airport was kind and extremely helpful. I highly recommend this apartment.…

With kids this villa is very good because it has a very spacious place, with a separate living room/kitchen, and the view to the beach from the parking lot was incredible. A little bit of a steep hill to get up there, but manageable, most places in Seychelles are up the hills. Service was great, you barely left the villa and the staff is already coming in to clean it up. Only issues we had was the kitchen utensils that were not enough for proper cooking and the white goods were very old. Also, the water from the tap (specially from the bath tub) was yellowish, which they said it was because of the rain and to leave it running that it should go back to normal, but it never really did. Great location, easy access to the most famous/beautiful beaches in Mahe (Petite Anse, Takamaka, etc). And if you want to just walk you have a big nice beach walking distance from the place.…

We stayed for 4 nights in one of the villas and the views are to die for. The drive towards the accommodation is very steep but there is plenty of parking when you get up. There is small beach 1 minute walk from the accommodation and of course Anse La Mouche 1 minute drive away. The main doors have no glass, just shutters, so you will have small lizards inside but they are harmless and very cute. The rooms are little bit basic but kept clean. My only issue would be with the bedroom as they are very dark and I like to be woken up with light coming from outside but that is just my issue and I am sure the majority of people would prefer to have dark bedroom. If you do not have a car, make sure you do your shopping before arrival as there are no shops walking distance but with a car you will be ok. Just turn right at the bottom of the hill and within a few minutes you will reach one of the local shops. We had a great stay and loved having our breakfast on the terrace.…

Oh gosh where to start. the property is great, clean and nice. the AC in the room was really good as it gets warm. Mayna the owner was super sweet and nice! and the rest of the staff as well!! She upgraded me to a villa as the description was wrong in my booking. She gave me fruit platter when I arrived (I was telling her how much I cannot wait to buy fruit and avocado and cook for myself:)) she did my laundry, helped me with car booking and allowed me to check out late. In my 8month of traveling I have not met this kind owner who did so much for me!! definitely recommending this place and do rent a car from her, much cheaper and hastle free than at the airport. Thank you so much Mayna and the rest of the team for my amazing stay!! I felt like home ❤️

We had a wonderful stay. Mayna was very helpful, great communication before and during our stay. Felt safe, close to good beaches and not crowded at all. Stores are everywhere near for this self-cater gem.
