Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel is a gem — a retreat where you see the countryside of Italy as so peaceful and majestic. Rooms are minimalist design with touches from nature. Very comfortable, great views, amazing food!

Absolutely wonderful, very calm, no stress, excellent cross country. We would be pleased, if we can welcome you in our Hotel La Casies again. In addition to crosscountry, it is possible to do snowshoe trips and treks to mountain cottages

We booked 2 nights at La Casies on a whim during our honeymoon trip and when we arrived, immediately decided to extend our stay for longer. Not enough good things can be said about the amenities and hospitality of this special place. The hotel's spa is incredible and designed for the user's relaxation with a mist shower, Finnish sauna, and your own waterfall. We took advantage of the pool, spa, kneipp (local health walk), electric bikes, archery range and every delicious meal that was available. Every day there is a menu of events happening that day, including guided hikes, bike rides, excursions and more. The quality of the 5 course dinner menus was exceptional and our only regret was having to leave this magical place. Highly, highly recommend! The price is unbelievably affordable for all that you're getting - should be a 5 star hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at La Casies in an absolutely beautiful, quiet environment. The room was finished in Swiss Pine emitting a fresh, clean smell of new wood. It was a new resort with all the modern amenities and pleasant, helpful staff. The manager, Patrick, was especially helpful in resolving a problem. After many emails from him, he was able to correct a personal problem in a very courteous manner. We were served a welcoming drink upon arrival. It was a lovely stay in a serene valley and we plan to return for another stay in the future. You will not be disappointed!!

This is one of the small and charming hotels you want to stay in. Great views accompanied with warm service of a family run hotel is a perfect combination. I was surprised with a great choice of complimentary services including e-bikes rental, bow shooting competition, grappa tasting, guided mountain hikes, etc. The only downside of the hotel is that there is not many attractions for children (staying with 7 years old lady) and it results that there are not many of them. It may be perceived as an advantage and also disadvantage. It depends on the traveler. All in all, room comfort, food and service are great there so do not hesitate to stay few nights.

We are truly impressed by this family run hotel, their hospitality and personal touch in everything, from the family signs on the table to the daily activities and dinner menu, personalized for each guest on their proffered language, to the hut trekking with the owner and the little gift upon check out. The hotel is modern, with cozy & warm design. The room is very cozy and very spacious and there's a huge balcony to enjoy the wonderful views to the valley. The food is exceptional as well, the breakfast offers local products, they have the egg & pancake station, great selection of breads and cold cuts. We were staying at half board with the dinner and afternoon snack included. The dinner is very good 5 course menu, with options for every taste. The bar and the terrace to it offers great views with a cup of coffee or schnapps. The spa and pool area are wonderful and well sized for the hotel guests. We can highly recommend this wonderful hotel and we will be definitely returning.

I chances upon this hotel as a stop-over on a long drive from Salzburg to Tuscany, and felt very lucky. The hotel really is all about health and family life. The lovely valley is more about hiking than skiing, with the hotel nestled in its higher reaches, very near the Austrian border. Service was excellent, breakfast copious. The dinner included in my room rate was more healthy than gastronomic, but I did not mind. The rooms offer everything a traveler could want, including multi-channel TV options. Would I return? Yes, in a trice!

I booked a standard double room which was simple but relaxing, one of my favourite things about the room was reading a book on the balcony, listening to the stream. Dinners were delicious and La Casies was able to cater for my gluten and dairy allergies. The pool and saunas were a nice place to relax. There a few nice hikes nearby, plus Lago di Braies is stunning and not too far.
