King Tree Lodge is located in a beautiful spot in Wellington Mills. Backing on to national forest, views to the north down a valley, large groups of kangaroos grazing in the paddocks. The room we stayed in was a good size and had a comfortable bed. The owners have been running the place for 26 years and we imagine it...

We decided to swing east away from the coast when driving back up to Bunbury on a Monday afternoon, deciding to stop wherever the Landcruiser bonnet pointed. David and Cheryl Rourke established and have run Kingtree Lodge for over 25 years. It is a spectacular property situated amongst forests with sweeping views from the upstairs balcony where Cheryl's delicious breakfasts are served. Kangaroos can be seen hopping around the grassy fields near the tennis court at dusk and early mornings. Being a country property far from restaurants...
