We had a wonderful time at sandals south coast!!! Our guest manager Samir has been so wonderful!! He went out of his way to make our stay so special!! He is so friendly and very attentive in what we need!! He sent a gift up to our room and we had wonderful conversations with him!! I highly recommend sandals south coast and if you have an opportunity please meet Samir. He is amazing!! Overall this place is amazing my husband and I had an amazing experience. Everyone of the staff is amazing!!

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed in the Dutch village room #2410. Top floor and corner room, club level. Very nice room. The balcony was spacious but we didnt use the soaking tub. There are privacy curtains on the balcony which we utilized on one side because people in the hallway were able to look onto our balcony. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was very nice, the toilet had its own room which was handy. Shower was huge and had great water pressure. Hotel provided toiletries are very nice. I should have gotten some extras of the body lotion as it's very nice and thick. The ride to and from the resort wasnt as bad as expected. Some of the road had potholes but our drivers both ways were experienced and professional about driving around the holes and making it as smooth as possible. I did utilize prescription motion sickness patches both ways and didnt have any problems. The wait at the airport to go to the resort was about 20 minutes because we were supposed to have another couple but they never showed up so it was just the 2 of us and the driver. Private transportation without the extra cost! The drive back to the airport was a full van and we were very early for our departure flight but it's Sandals policy to get you there 3 hours early in case of big lines at security. Upon checkin our convierge was pointing out the room features and he found that the safe in the closet didnt work. Maintenence came to look at it but wasnt able to fix it. That didnt bother us so we didnt use it for our stay. We needed help from the concierges a few times and they were helpful and professional. We saw Clive most of the time, he always had something good to say and also surprised us 1 afternoon with towel swans and rose petals on the bed! Nice extra touch! His wine tasting was informative and funny. We were able to get reservations at both restaurants that require them easily since we were flexible with the day and time. All the restaurants we dined in were very good. We didnt have to wait more than 5 minutes at the restaurants that didnt require reservations. We tried all except Jasmines and Sushi on the Sand. The bars throughout the property were great. i wound up drinking Purple Rain most of the time but made with coconut rum instead of vodka. Alrich at the Dutch pool bar was accomidating to this modification and always was a gracious bartender. Downfall of frozen drinks is that the paper straws that were used didnt hold up, they got squishy and i needed to get another 1 usually before my drink was done. Next time i will bring metal or plastic straws. We did the Scents of Love 1 hour couples massage on the first morning we were there. Neither of us had massages before so i selected "light" pressure, he selected "medium". My fiance loved it! I enjoyed it also and my request to not have my feet touched was mostly honored; she started to rub them but I twitched and reminded her no feet please. We were approached by spa staff several other times asking if we had spa services booked. We stated we already had and they walked on to talk to other guests. We didnt have any trouble getting chairs on the beach or by the pool, maybe we just got lucky. If you want specific chairs go down early and claim them as the butlers reserve a lot for their guests. We took the glass bottom boat but couldnt see anything since it was a bit windy so it turned into a short boat ride. I had wanted to go tubing 1 afernoon but waves were too big. We were advised that mornings were better for any boating activity at the resort because the water is clamer then. There was 1 day during out stay when the internet was out at the entire resort and the most inconvenient part about that was we couldnt use the Sandals app with the daily planner to see what activities were planned. We did 1 off resort tour, the YS Falls and Appleton Rum estate. i highly recommend this as it was really fun and was nice to get out into the beautiful country. Our driver for this trip was Trevor Myrie. Very professional driver and had a lot of local insights which he shared with us. He also made a few stops to point out local fruit trees and he got some of those fruits for us to taste. Above and beyond! Overall this was a GREAT trip to a beautiful resort with excellent staff! We booked the new Dunns River for Feb 2024 before leaving but we may decide to come back here, depending if the new resort reviews aren't great.

We had the time of our lives at this resort. We stayed in the Rondoval Suites the first day we arrived and then transferred over to the Over the Water Bungalows. Our butlers Jermaine and Tamar were absolutely incredible from start to finish. They welcomed us with open arms and became family in the short time we were here. The OWB butler service is amazing and they accommodate all of your requests within their power. The atmosphere and culture in Jamaica is extremely laid back and even more so at South Coast. The nice thing about this location is that you can stay secluded and in your own private area but then if you want to step into a livelier area, the main pool is just a short walk from the OWB’s or Rondovals. The beaches are beautiful, especially on the OWB side. 10/10 would recommend this location!

We were very excited to have the opportunity to take and adults only vacation and after researching Sandals South Coast looked like the perfect choice. After a four night stay there we would have to say that a few of the negative experiences we had outweighed a few of the very positive things about Sandals South Coast. To get started with the positive, the Rondoval Suite with butlers that we chose was perfect. It was immaculate inside and the amenities that came along with it were the best part of the trip. Having your own plunge pool as well as step out to the lazy river could be enough to not leave the amazing accommodations for days. Our butlers, Jamoy and Trevar (Papa Smurf), were 100% on point. They went above and beyond to make our stay especially when it was setting up at the pool for the day. It was nice to not have to get up at 6 AM to rush to get chairs. They set everything up with a cooler and continuously came to monitor how we were doing. Another positive we felt was the fitness facility. We love to work out and thought that the gym was well equipped with a lot of variety. Now to the negatives…..When we arrived the first thing that happened was two gentleman approached us and talked to us regarding setting up a private dinner and cabanas on the beach. In theory a candelit dinner on the beach sounded great and we initially filled out the form regarding it. The first night we went to dinner at the Italian restaurant and much to our surprise the food was horrible. The salmon was not fresh at all and the steak that we ordered was not of good quality at all and did not taste right. In fear that we would get sick from what was served we actually did not eat the meal and went back to our room hungry. We maintained a positive attitude and said maybe it was the one particular restaurant but the second night to our dismay once again the meat was horrible. Thankfully there are chips and guacamole on the room service menu because to be honest that is what we ate! After two nights of bad dinners we agreed that we would not pay additional for a dinner on the beach. As well, we were supposed to be contacted regarding setting it up which never happended other that our butler asking and us saying there was no way we were doing this. Come to the end of the trip when we get the bill and what happens…the $199 was on there charged for a dinner we absolutely did not agree to nor set up. The front desk attendant said she had to talk to a gentleman in that department and before we left in an hour the situtation would be rectified. We follow up as we were getting onto the transfer and she said that although she couldnt reach this particular person yet not to worry as we had told her what had happened. Days go by as we get home and not until we reached out again did they rudely respond back that we would not be refunded. This type of customer service for a chain of such high caliber as Sandals is unacceptable and goes to show how nickel and diming you is much more important than the customer experience. Although it was an all-inclusive ( and we did not skimp out on anything as we got a private transfer and a top level room) we constantly were approached trying to be sold photo sessions, their timeshare, as well as excursions….even when were just resting at the pool trying to relax. We are hoping that they reevaluate the charge and understand the situation and rectify the matter accordingly. All in all we did enjoy quiet time at Sandals South Coast and the beautiful weather. For the cost and quality would we probably return to Sandals again…no as there are different all inclusives which we have been to that overall have provided a better experience!

We had an amazing experience at Sandals South Coast and our top-notch butlers Jamoy and Tevar made the experience absolutely unforgettable. I’ve never been more pampered in my life, and can’t wait to visit again. Tevar’s level of customer service was out of this world! He remembered which beverages we enjoyed drinking, our food preferences, checked on us often, went above and beyond the entire time. Our stay at sandals south coast was phenomenal. I want to say the food at GIUSEPPE was amazing. After our first experience we knew we needed to come back, and have our last meal at Giuseppe before we departed. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the most talented chefs at Sandals. Chef Rando’s creation was one of the best meals I had the honor of eating while at Sandals south coast. His cooking is something you can only find at a Michelin star restaurant. And to think we had the pleasure of eating his food was amazing. If you have the opportunity to eat at Giuseppe, make sure to ask for the chief Rando to prepare your food. In addition, we had a wonderful server. Davia was very attentive to our need and others. She was very personable beyond the welcoming experience sandals has offered us at any other restaurant. If anyone at sandals management is reviewing this. I would highly recommend investing in these individuals as to there one of a kind service and skill. Thank you, Aaron and Elliana Phillips

We have been to many all inclusives This was not the worst nor the best. The best part are the people. No one walked by without a smile and hello. Food not bad for an al as well. The downside: my husband had to go to the pool area every morning by 6 am to get chairs. Butlers had half of them for their guests. Just put out more chairs! Drink service very very slow around pool. In my opinion excellence resorts are better for their attention to detail and service

The restaurants are nice and the grounds are beautiful, but the overall experience wasn’t amazing for multiple reasons: 🏝️The location is poor for swimming at the beach. You can’t get above the waste in the designated swimming areas and the water isn’t as pristine as Negril. 😖 The staff doesn’t coordinate well and app is poorly designed, allowing you to make dinner reservations on days when that restaurant is closed. We got multiple calls from the front desk about the same thing, and lines were crossed…the person calling had different information than the last person. 🚓 We went for a walk past where the resort ends and on the second day someone stopped us to ask our room number and last name, but the first day we didn’t have that. The resort should keep track of guests, and if you are going to do something…do it all the time, not some of the time. We won’t be back as the main reason we travel to coastal destinations is to enjoy the beach, which wasn’t very nice here. The staff is great and there are lots of activities.

We visited in late March 2024 for our 25th anniversary. We stayed in an over water bungalow and all I can say is wow! I don't know how any vacation will ever be as amazing as this one. The bungalow itself was heaven. I really didn't want to leave. We did go to the beach and our butler set us up in a private cabana one day, but we never went to the pools. The restaurants were good. We especially loved the sushi restaurant- that was probably our favorite meal. Out butlers- Jermaine and Chris were extraordinary. They truly went above and beyond. They packed us a cooler for our excursion without even being asked- and it came in handy! They would bring snacks and drinks randomly without us even asking- like they knew what we needed before we even did! I cannot say enough about how amazing the service was. I would highly recommend this resort and if you can stay in a bungalow for even a night or two, it is totally worth it! I hope we can come back again someday. The only downside was all of the construction noise. It went on all day long and into the night- sometimes until 1 am or later as they were on a tight deadline to finish.

My husband and I recently had an amazing vacation at Sandals South Coast! We've stayed at a lot of all inclusive resorts and the service here was the best we've ever received. ALL the staff were absolutely amazing, eager to help and were very friendly! We had butlers Jamoy and Trevar "Papa Smurf" Woop Woop ;) And they were so amazing!!! Dale the bartender was also so fun to get drinks from as he was so energetic and positive! We stayed in the Rondoval Village and it was an experience like no other!!! I highly recommend staying in one of these!!! Our float around the river like pool was my favorite thing to do everyday (and there were a lot of other things to do like: over the water bar, beach, snorkeling, stand up paddle boarding, etc). It was so lush, peaceful, private, and beautiful along that river pool! I'm spoiled forever now because of this resort!
