We found this place completely by chance whilst looking for somewhere to stop off on the way home. Pub itself looked like it could do with a lick of paint in a few places, but had a very warm welcome and possibly the tastiest pub curry ever! Portions were enormous and for the first time ever had onion rings with...

Went here for Sunday Lunch after seeing sign on A46...did not pre-book. Friendly welcome and no problem to get a table (but sign read "return of Sunday Lunch" so maybe only just started doing them after a break). Roast dinner was excellent with what tasted like all fresh ingredients. Only one pudding available but that too was very tasty. Had...

Since our last visit the pub has new hosts in Kev and Jo. Like our previous visits everything was perfectly presented. Excellent room with everything we needed (a couple more coat hangers in the wardrobe would have been useful), spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. In fact everything for a good night's rest. Breakfast was great and plentiful. We cannot speak...

A lovely village pub, with bright clean comfortable rooms (the bed felt like you were sleeping on a cloud). The landlord was probably the most helpful I have ever met. We were able to get lunch 'just' after service time, which was very tasty and presented very nicely. Breakfast was wonderful. I

Four of us stayed in the village for 3 nights had planned to eat at Boot & Shoe each night. However on the first night at dinner we had 3 main meals that were good but the lasagna my wife ordered was dry with undercooked pasta topping.I accept that we should have complained immediately rather than leave it until we...

This was a lucky shot in the dark for us on a last minute weekend break to Newark. My husband knew the area as a boy and wanted to eat near Elston where we were staying. We booked thinking it would be busy , but the pub was comfortably uncrowded. Our table was in a quiet corner without loud background...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Boot and Shoe Inn sits in the conservation village of Flintham on the edge of the Vale of Belvoir. Parts of the inn date back to the 17th century and we are great believers in tradition - we concentrate on traditional ales and homemade food. The village is very quiet so you are assured of a good nights sleep but within a 15 to 20 minute drive there are a host of attractions for you to enjoy. ... more   less
