Rooms are spotlessly clean, good size bathroom, quiet location, car park, free wifi. The walk into town is about 15 mins on the flat. very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast looked good, although we didn't have time to sample it. Well worth the trip.

We booked the Grange for my mothers 90th birthday. The whole experience from the original booking to the end of the event was perfect. Sandra and her team provided a great selection of courses, dressed the tables beautifully and attended to every guests wishes. We booked the Grange because they did a great job for mothers 80th. 10 years later...

Stayed for a weekend with friends. Lovely warm greeting on arrival. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. The bar is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a drink. We ordered a bottle of prosecco before we went for a walk into town. It was brought to us in an ice bucket on a stand and nicely chilled. The bar...

This was very conveniently placed, easy to find and park at. My room was small but the rate was correspondingly reasonable for it - I would probably upgrade another time. The bed was OK, it was more comfortable than last time, but still not great. The little room was warm enough after some help to ensure the radiator was on....

In town for a friend's wedding, we stayed at The Grange for two nights and enjoyed it. The service was impeccable, the food (not least the all important breakfast) was wonderful and we even found a new favourite wine, courtesy of the bar. Plus, we slept like babies. The only thing preventing an "Excellent" rating is really down to the...

My wife, two sons and I were very kindly taken in by The Grange after our original hotel was unable to accommodate us. Our expectations and preconceptions were completely obliterated by the hotel manager who exhibited arguably the best customer service I have had the pleasure of receiving. This would have been good enough for a splendid review but my...

We stayed here for one night while visiting Newark. I've decribed it as 'old-fashioned' in the title of my review, and that was what it was, but in the sense of being a very traditional hotel that could have steped out of the pages of an Agatha Christie novel. We received a warm welcome when we arrived, and our room...

One night stay, very warm welcome, rooms were more than adequate and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was superb, will be staying at the Grange on our next visit to Newark. The owners discovered that it was my birthday and left a card and gift by our room door, really nice touch.

We had a lovely room and lovely breakfasts, clean room and efficient and friendly staff . We loved our stay at The Grange and would recommend it to anyone wanting somewhere traditional and welcoming. A perfect place to stay for a weekend.
