From the time we stepped off of the transfer speedboat we could see this was going to be a special experience. Met by Sabu a great hostess walked down the jetty into paradise. Immediately impressed with the natural beauty of the island and the well kept gardens and grounds. Simple efficeint checkin, walked along sandy path to room 137 in a perfect position just seconds from the beach. On opening the door to our beach bungalow it looked just like the brochure. Spaciuos, comfortable bed, spotless, bathroom outside with two showers one fully tilled under cover and one in open air which was great. Shifaz our room housekeeper was amazing and so attentive nothing to much trouble. The restuarant Banyan food and service great quality, choice and service, Ihusan and Himanshi were amazing, friendly always smiling and able to share our humor which is so rare. They looked after us like family a high point of the day to enjoy relaxed atmosphere whilst enjoying the food. Reception always helpful and friendly. Great pool area with great bar service, very attentive waiters and bar tenders. Beach with sunbeds and the trees providing shade was so relaxing, we have not relaxed like this for years. The wildlife was interesting, the crabs were so interesting to watch. Little lizards, herons and othe birds even fruit bats in the evening, loved the feeling of being in such a natural place. Staff at the dive centre and the water sports centre were so friendly and helpful, the dolphin trip was fantastic saw dozens, we were lucky. In summary the most relaxing holiday we have had in 28 years travelling. Worth every penny we paid excellent value for money. Amazing place great staff not sure how you could wish for any more. We will be returning sometime next year.

Hudhuran Fushi Island indeed lives up to its name. My girlfriend and i travelled to paradise in April 2019.
The flight is very long and tiresome but as you begin to descend into Male look out of the window, instantly you will know it was worth it. This is the only place i have been where brochure pictures do not do the destination justice.
After a short wait in the bar outside the airport we were invited to board our boat for the short transfer. It was in fact raining when we arrived at the island (the only rain we saw during our stay) so we were greeted by staff who gave us all umbrellas. Then when under cover were offered a cocktail. Shortly we were sorted with our Beach Villa and on our way with luggage following shortly behind us.
Our Beach Villa was of a high standard, clean and functional, I have stayed in many top hotels around the world and do not feel comfortable staying anywhere that is not of a good standard. I can tell you that we were more than happy with our accommodation. It was beautiful to wake up in the morning and within 15 steps you would be at the clear waters edge admiring the colorful marine life.

The main buffet restaurant served good quality food, however it is inland, so we preferred to use the others which were on stilts in the sea, very romantic!! often we could watch reef sharks, rays etc during our evening meal. The food at these restaurants was top class.
During our stay the island was fully booked but its worth mentioning that the busiest day on the beach during our stay i think we saw another 6 people ! how good is that ? so relaxing so beautiful, we didn't want to leave.

If you were unsure about visiting Hudhuran Fushi Island then don't be i would rate this island 10 out of 10 and will definitely be returning.

Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi is a wonderful island to spend your holiday, i can bet that every single penny you spend is worth. We visited in the month of January, though the climate is not so pleasant but the island with its wonderful aminities will make your stay worthy. The hotel staff are very very co-operative, they welcome you at every step. We stayed in Beach villa with all inclusive plan which is very much recommended as far as i have seen there. I will not say that food is the best but its good, the almost same menu will get you bored. Alcoholic drinks with all the major brands are easily available with mouth watering snacks.
The only disadvantage is all time non-availability of the buggy cars that will take you to room from the restaurant. Don't worry if you do not want to wait, go for a lovely walk between the trees with wonderful beach beside you.
Overall its a wonderful stay in Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi and will like to come back again sometime. Thanks to all the staff specially the guys who constantly cleaning the beautiful pavement on the way to rooms.....

This is island resort is only a 30-min speedboat ride from the airport. The transfer was smooth and easy.

We were greeted by Vicky in the resort and she made our stay in Adaaran very memorable.

At first I was concerned with the quality of photos being uploaded here by other travelers. But it turned out that the beauty of this resort was so exceptional.

There was really a chill/relax vibe while we stayed here. The Premium All Inclusive package was well worth it (actually too much tbh) since you will not get hungry pr thirsty while on your holiday here.

For those looking for a safe and very affordable private island resort in Maldives, I personally highly recommend this one.

We booked to go to the Maldives but, like many of us, our holiday was cancelled over and over due to corona virus and lockdown. After the holiday had been cancelled 3 times we eventually received our date to go in May 2022.
It was 100% worth the wait! We had booked to go using a private travel agency for two weeks, one week in the delux beach hut and the second in the sunset ocean villa, both weeks all inclusive. During our beach hut week we ate in the bayyan restaurant where we had our own named table and server a lovely man called Arshie who was beyond kind to us and the restaurant had different themed nights to give us variety but this variety didn’t impact on the quality of food that was served with plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans too! The island also has three bars; the main bar, beach grill and Lohis bar. Lohis and beach grill have a variety of all inclusive cocktails aswell as a variety of food to choose from on top of the restaurants and again this food was amazing! Whilst the beach grill was our favourite to eat and drink during the daytime to sunbathe we struggled to find a nearby toilet as our beach hut was far away from the bar, however, this was the only flaw, the views were amazing, the beach was flawless, the cocktails were well made and the staff were so friendly and constantly smiling! During the night time our favourite bar to go to was the main bar where we built up such a great relationship with two staff members Dulash and Kavin. These two gentlemen made our holiday extra special by always being welcoming, happy to see us, engaging in conversations and eventually (due to being creatures of habit) prepared our favourite cocktails for us as we arrived every night without fail and our glasses where barely empty before we were handed full glasses of mojitos! The service was indescribable, impeccable and something we had never experienced! This made leaving the holiday all the more difficult as we had never been made to feel more welcome on a holiday! For our second week we went to the ocean villas and was picked up by our own butler Saddam who was not only friendly but hilarious! We were provided with his number to contact him with any issues or if we required lifts to and from our accommodation to anywhere else on the island! Saddam also tipped us off on the most magical experience, past 21.00 at the end of the pier on the ocean villas the fish and sharks gather to create a live aquarium!
Both in the ocean villa and beach hut our rooms were cleaned once in the morning and once in the evening to a 5* standard and in the ocean villa we celebrated our 4 year anniversary where our caretaker decorated our room to make our anniversary extra special, whilst, our Saddam organised the restaurant to make us a cake to celebrate during our meal! Each staff member went above and beyond for us and made our holiday extra special! Eventhough it was hard for us to leave, we will 100% come back! Thank you!

The resort is beautiful and the location is amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the nature and the greenery alongside the beach. The facilities are well maintained, specifically the fact that they clean the room twice is a day is very thoughtful and much needed for the beach ecosystem there. So full marks for cleanliness and facilities.

There are certainly a few areas of improvement:
1. Treating guests equal: Most of us felt that the staff, especially at the bars, servers at restaurants, reception area were biased / prioritized service towards serving the white guys (esp. Russians, Germans who were quite a few). When they are not providing any special discount for us, why not treat all of us equal!!!
2. One-off incident of lack of cooperation from the room service guys: We had a really bad experience with one of the room service personnel, who refused to help us move back our anniversary table into the room. He behavior was utterly atrocious and an repulsive attitude with a potential to scar our entire anniversary and the overall experience with the resort. The staff at the reception also did not take any action until many of us repeatedly complained against his behavior.
3. More consideration for vegetarians: The food indeed a very large spread catering to multiple cuisines across globe. However, being a cosmopolitan resort, one needs to respect the cultural considerations of making vegetarian food and having dedicated spaces for veg food in the buffet to avoid spillovers / cross cutlery utilization during serving of dishes
4. Scuba diving: We didn't get slots for scuba diving inspite of being proactive and reaching out to them on the first day of the trip. Given the certainty of people in the resort, the diving team should be appropriately organized so that everyone gets a chance. Also the diving school did not make any effort to inform us on the non-availability inspite of us giving them a heads up that we are extremely keen on diving.

Inspite of all the shortcomings, there was a silverlining - we found a great receptionist name Suba who was very approachable and kind to atleast hear to our concerns and make amends wherever possible. We also had a very good chef Singh who was kind enough to prepare some exclusive veg food for our anniversary.

Overall still a very memorable and pleasant experience, it would all have been better if everyone attended to us with a smile :)

We spent 7 nights at the resort. Everything was outstanding. The deluxe beach villas are very well maintained, clean and located just a few metres from the shore. Snorkeling on the house reef kept us busy for hours- the resort is very large and you can spend multiple days exploring different areas. We spotted many small sharks and other colourful fish of all types. The snorkeling trip (booked through the Watersports team) is also highly recommended. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We were particularly impressed with Thushera (chef at Banyan restaurant), our waiter Simaad and cleaner Siyam who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Food was plentiful, with good variety. Book the dolphin and sunset cruises early in your stay as the excursions fill up quickly. Also go to the wooden walkway near the jetty at night, where you can spot many small sharks. Experience stunning sunsets walking along the surfing side of the resort, and stop for clay oven pizzas at Lohis Wave.

If you have an evening departure flight, we would recommend arranging an earlier speedboat transfer so that you have a few hours to experience local culture in Male. There is a baggage storage facility at the airport (USD6 per bag), but carry-on bags can be kept with you. Use the local ferry to transfer from the airport to Male, at USD 1 per person. When exiting the ferry station, there is a large mosque a few metres to the left. If you go right, walk along the shore and you will come to a local vegetable market, fish market, and house boats. We saw many stingrays in the ocean opposite these houseboats, and locals said even sharks and other large fish are sometimes seen here. Carry an umbrella/raincoat as the weather can be quite unpredictable, with short bursts of rain.

This place was just fabulous ! I know occupancy was down to around 40% by mid March , so we had no crowds & were spoiled by staff, but the facilities were really good ! The cloud of the virus was hanging over everyone but we made the best of what we had. The bar & restaurant staff were very friendly & helpful and soon knew your order before you did ? Meals over the whole Resort were very good , from great meals in the Banyan Restaurant, burgers at the Beach Bar to Pizzas & snacks at Lohis. We were 4 cabins from Lohis Break & Bar, absolute home away from home ! The perfect spot on the island. We had a last night dinner at the Sunset Restaurant, the upper class dining for the over water bungalows and it was special ! But our dedicated server at the Banyan, Ali , did a great job looking after all of us & was a joy ! This was our second visit to the Maldives (1991) and I can safely say we would go back to Adaaran in a flash, it was a top spot & for the price was first class all the way !

I just came back from my holiday at the Adaaran select hudhuranfushi resort.

I summarized my review in the the following pros and cons:

Pros:

1. The distance from the airport (30min by speedboat)
2. The family beach villa (two rooms with connecting doors)
3. The food at the "Beach Grill" bar was superb
4. The Pizza place "Life at Lohis" served very delicious pizza
5. The premium all inclusive package was convenient
6. The shopping stores especially "Rip Curl" offerred almost every thing for swimming clothes.
7. The beach area by the sea swing, it has the least rocks in the water.
8. The sea swing was very nice but they should clean the area around it from sharp rocks, very easy to get injured while you are walking to the swing.
9. The nature of the island was magnificent except for the rocks and corals on the beach.

Cons:
1. There was no welcome drink offered to us like other decent resorts.
2. There was no smile from the reception guy, he was talking to the new arrival guests like a military man. To be fair that is most of the staffs attitude.
3. They gave us the keys and pointed to us which direction we should walk to our villa without offering to take us by the buggy car. (Which was 7 minutes walk after long flights and airport to reach this island)
4. The villa wasn't that clean, there was a broken drawer, re-painting marks every where on the walls and ceiling
5. There were no hooks to hang the towels and clothes in bathroom, there was only one next to the shower but not any where else in the walls or behind the door
6. There is no dedicated sunbed to your villa, people can just come and take your spot if you don't put a towel on it, luckily I didn't like the area in front of my villa because of the rocks inside the water I recommend the beach area in front of the beach grill bar where there is the famous sea swing.
7. The island is surrounded by corals and rocks unlike the nature of Maldives soft white sands, in this resort you will definitely need a water shoes.
8. The housekeeping services is very bad although I usually keep a tip for them but unfortunately no difference at all, I noticed they only change towels and make the bed without changing the sheets, if you ordere anything do not wait for it cause they will bring it when they feel like.
9. The reception staff where not supportive
10. The food variety in the buffet was very limited
11. The spa was below average.
12. The villa's door knobs are the classic knobs that openes with metal keys it does not operate with cards.

Overall there was no extraordinary service provided to me to mention any name.

I spent 5 days at this beautiful island in March 2021 and it was a lovely experience. I chose the Sunset water villa and I'd heavily recommend it to anyone going there. It was a sublime experience. Pure, clear water below your feet and beautiful tropical fishes swimming around all the time.

The place was very well maintained and clean, and the service was superb. I have to make a special mention of Reema our Butler, Mishal one of the servers, and Mohan who drove me around the island.

But everyone at the island took care of us with a smile and gave us the service we expected. You will feel pampered here.

The island is full of trees, with a lot of old Banyan trees as well. Coming from Dubai we appreciated all the greenery.

We also went on some excursions. Snorkeling is amazing (it's the maldives after all), and though we weren't lucky enough to catch any fish or see any dolphins, every trip was great.

I didn't really enjoy the Spa much. It's quite a simple place compared to some other places that I've been to, but good enough.

The food quality and variety is fair, and you will find some Sri-Lankan/Maldivian cuisine in every meal. Some of it was too spicy even for me but I found alternatives.

There are multiple bars on the island. I had a good time lounging at the grill bar and watching the surfers at Lohis.

The drinks are okay. I was on all inclusive, but some of the drinks (like Pina colada) were not included and were extra.

Overall, it was a good trip and I'd recommend Hudhuranfushi to anyone who wants an easy experience.

Just a note of caution, getting to the island may involve a wait of up to 1 hour (you can sit at the airport cafe) cause the private boat transfer is not so private after all. They were waiting for the next flight when I arrived, though I was a bit surprised cause they could have easily dropped me and come back as Hudhuranfushi is only about 25 minutes from the airport.
