Booked with previous owner, now owned by Clico Chico/Capfun chain. Was well run now it dreadful. Told on check in that hadn’t paid balance so paid again; upon checking bank account saw that i had paid. Over a month later still awaiting refund. Shop and restaurant (where all the board games are) now run by separate contractor who opens infrequently and is expensive and poor quality when it is open. Outside bins overflowing and not emptied in our six day stay; attracting wasps. Reception and toilets full of cobwebs and staff full of excuses promising better for next season! A previous four star campsite thst had return guests now the worst campsite we stayed at in seven weeks away. Do not book unless you want to be disappointed. Good points - location and views, local restaurants and shops were good.

Just returned home from a fab few days at Le Village des Meuniers we were there with friends at a dog show. We stayed in a 3 bed cottage with a beautiful view, it was very well laid out and the utensils were excellent, the beds were quite comfy... the bedrooms were a little small but adequate for us. The grounds of the campsite were beautiful and very well kept and some areas seemed like 5 star (Pool & sauna areas) Our first night was spent in the restaurant and the food was OK half way through our meal one of our party started choking I gave her a few slaps on the back but it didn’t budge she was starting to panic and jumped up she went over to the bar and got a drink of water it still did not budge I got her some bread from the table and she ate that and thankfully it took it down she said she had ordered Beef bourguignon so it was unusual for there to be a bone in it... No one from the management said anything at all. Friday night we were booked in again I ordered Brochette De Boeuf and asked it to be cooked Medium when it came it was cold and it was rare inside... I hate to complain but I could not eat it I told the waitress I needed it cooking more and it was cold nothing was said, the meal was brought back a few minutes later and passed over another person to me I thought this was a little rude also nothing at all was said, it looked a little more cooked on the outside but was exactly the same on the inside a piece of Raw meat and cold I gave up ate the chips and just left the meat, when they came to take it away she looked at me and I explained I could not eat it because it was not cooked... Still no apology I went to pay I honestly thought I would not be charged but a bill of €14 was presented to me I complained to no avail the waitress just tapped her finger on the bill and I just paid I was very disappointed I could see the owner looking but he did not intervene. Apart from this we had a lovely time and the staff and owners were lovely they just need to be a little more attentive to customers when things are not right.

The wonderful moments spent were diminished by a skewer of beef that was undercooked. We are sorry. However, we had cooked the meat again. But it still hasn't pleased. Once again we apologize for this inconvenience. Pleased to welcome you

Tidy campsite in a lovely spot with great views, lots of mobile homes and cabins with some camping pitches. Loos and showers are clean, washer dryer and freezer available, free dishwasher tokens are offered on arrival. Large family friendly pool with ample seating for the June grey wave. Shop with basics on site. Other family friendly facilities, trampoline, play area etc. The let down is the restaurant, I ordered salmon which arrived grey and over cooked, it was recommended I pour the sauce over it so that it wasn’t dry, not OK as it was hard and the vegetables of the day mushy uncomplimetary ratatouille. Husbands pizza was OK although he didn’t finish it. The proprietress took my plate away with no apology, nor did she return after. We had cycled most of the morning, from 6:30 to 13:00 with little food so were very hungry, we left the restaurant hungry too :( not good!!

I want to rectify some things. We have 50 accommodations and 50 camping places for caravans, tents and camper. I offered to bring you another fish but you did not want to. You have eaten half of your fish and vegetables and you have not paid them.Sorry if you did not like. I hope the next restaurant experience will suit you better. Fabienne and Philippe

We only ate at the restaurant in the camping, as it was recommended to us by the host at a nearby vacation stay rental house. Service was lousy and disinterested, forgot about some of the drinks, forgot to bring one glass, etc etc. We ordered the Hamburger Meuniers bearing their name (their signature dish you might think). The bun was slightly burnt (not a big deal), the patty was under-seasoned. Overall not so tasty, but edible. We ate the fries that accompanied the burger as those were fine, but we needed to ask repeatedly for ketchup and mayo and they seem to like to economize on the small packages of ketchup and mayo they give out. We also asked for salt to put on the patty, but they only brought some ketchup and mayo and forgot the salt. Since we already asked so many times for little things they forgot, we gave up on getting salt. Anyway, we ate and quickly left, I did not think to take pictures as I thought that it looked reasonable at first glance and you can’t expect much since its a restaurant run by a camping operator. But still I felt compelled to write the review anyway afterwards.

You were present on the worst day of the season at the restaurant, the day our fryer broke down. You can imagine that to completely disorganize the cooks and at the same time the room service. Sorry for this regrettable misfortune and suffered. Fabienne and Philippe.

Stayed here 3 nights on our way back from the South. Can't fault it really, pool was good, great rickety slide which was real fun. We had a nice meal the evening we arrived, the restaurant was very nice, overlooking the hills. Also nice bar, very friendly and helpful staff. Good place to cycle, we are not great cyclists, but found a few nice routes, we would also cycle to the bakery in the morning for bread and Croissant. It was a quiet side, mainly Dutch but would return for a stop over. Go and see the pot belled pig and goat on the camp site.

We booked this site for the easy access to some wonderful cycling and the peace and quiet. The welcome was warm, helpful and friendly. It's very well signposted from the main road and in a lovely location. Do note though that the reception shuts between twelve and two even in peak season and there is limited space for those, like us queueing to check in. We enjoyed some fantastic cycling. Cluny to Macon 60k return and Cluny to Buxy 70k return. All flattish and traffic free. The pool is lovely, the toilets and showers clean, but stretched in high season as you would expect. There is a dishwashing machine, you are given free tokens but we didn't use this as there was always a queue. What surprised us most was that in the middle of this quiet tranquil site, and opposite us were fifteen ten year olds on three pitches on a football camp. Within a minute of arriving balls were bouncing off our car and van. What a mistake to put them in the middle of the site, surely they would have been better placed at the edge somewhere. We didn't realise how noisy they actually were until they left on the Friday after four nights. Interestingly the people that arrived today on one of the pitches opposite us had to go and request that the hedge was hosed down, you can guess why! Would we come back, yes, yes ,yes, but please not near a group like this.

A fantastic site with large grass pitches (with actual grass!) with outstanding views all round. We are only here for the night so use our own facilities in our caravan and so don't bother with the pool, restaurant etc but it all looks marvellous.

Site in good location. Plenty of room and very good facilities. Swimming pool was particularly good, large and very clean. Able to walk in to the village for bread and other supplies. Will definitely return in the future.
