I stayed here on my own on a solo vacation. The staff were lovely and the hotel was clean, but it is quite dated in terms of decor. It has a beautiful swimming area and the breakfast is very nice (though unfortunately the view from the breakfast/dinner area on the terrace is obstructed by a window sill when you sit down that is right at eye level for most people).

The room was fine, though my mattress was a bit lumpy and it was difficult to keep the room cool at times. The shower was also so small I could barely turn around in it and I’m not a big person (5’4 and 130lbs) and it was quite slippery to stand in and always leaked water all over the floor.

Though the hotel may technically be in Ravello, is not in Ravello proper as the name would suggest. Ravello center is actually quite hard to get to from the hotel - it is either a gruelling 30 min uphill walk (1500 steps) to the town or a 40 euro taxi. The buss does not go from the area directly to Ravello you would have to transfer in Amalfi and back track. Your choices for dinner are then limited to the hotel restaurant (which is good but pricy and would lack of variety after sometime) or a 15 minute walk to Minori along the highway or a 30-40 min walk to Amalfi the other direction. Taxis here are extremely over priced (a taxi to the hotel from Amalfi will cost 30 euros even though it’s a 10 min drive). The hotel does have shuttles but they are limited in space and the times available and don’t run in the evening.

If you stay here you are better off having your own car to get around.

perched on the cliffs at the sea below Ravello, it is neither quaint like being in Ravello on the mountain nor convenient like being in touristy Amalfi. Everything is a 40+ euro taxi ride away, despite a shuttle that makes 2 trips to Amalfi and 3 trips to Minori (an uninspiring destination) each day. Since most of the best restaurants are in Amalfi or Ravello, meals away from the hotel cost an extra 80+ euros per meal. The rooms vary in size and quality of view. The breakfast buffet is good and the dinner menu is almost fine dining. If you want to have a cocktail before dinner, you’ll need to track done a bartender. However, overall the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful in navigating the Amalfi coastal area. One caution about taxis: always ask the price in advance and for the Hotel Marmorata expected to be dropped at the top of the 100 meter walk from the road to the hotel.

Before arriving the website did not show many photos, so we were unsure as to what kind of experience we would have as our first Italian holiday. When we arrived to the hotel we were greeted with friendly/helpful staff and the most beautiful room with a panoramic balcony- The view was second to none and very picturesque. The room was very clean and all the personalised touches (Hotel Marmorata bed linen, towels, hand towels, flip flops, robes & toiletries bag) made the stay so special. The pool area/beach club was like a moment captured from a Slim Aaron’s archive. The lounges, umbrellas and Hotel Marmorata personalised beach towels felt very luxurious. Not to mention the lovely poolside staff who were very friendly. Being situated in a quieter part of the Amalfi Coast and being close to Minori/Maiori was great and within walking distance. This has been the most relaxing and romantic over seas trip for us as a couple and we will be returning. A huge thank you to the staff who went above and beyond for us and our stay. Please do yourself a massive favour and stay at Ravello Art Hotel Marmorata!

The location of the hotel was nice. but it is an old hotel. We stayed in the panoramic suite room, the room was really big and the view was beautiful. There were a lot of mosquitoes and a lot of spiders and cobwebs in the room.the pool was very small and dirty, there were dead bugs. When I turned on the jacuzzi of the pool, a white foam was coming out, I guess it was never cleaned. Breakfast was ordinary, restaurant was very good, food was good but very expensive. 4 adults, 3 children and a baby, we gave 700 euros for a dinner and 500 euros for lunch. Reception staff were generally very good, there were two young staff, they only taught them to say no, it reduces the success of the reception in general. Check-in time to the hotel is 14:30, check-out time is 10:30. It was difficult for us families with children to reach the exit and the hotel reacted very much to this situation and threatened to charge a daily fee for 30 minutes. This made us very uncomfortable as we were so far from our home. They did not recognize expedia vip acces, our room was not upgraded, no treats were provided, even half an hour late check-out was not tolerated. we had a very bad holiday experience. In fact, the region is very beautiful, the sea is very beautiful, the Italians are very friendly. In my opinion, this is not Italian hospitality, we should not base this hotel on it.

we also need to listen to some voices outside the pack. Thank you for dedicating 3 reviews about us, I'm glad you had so much time to do all this. I answer to your commitment in writing about us, but honestly I don't think I have much more to say , apart from saying that your behavior in our hotel will remain in our memories for a while and not in a positive way

Absolutely lovely hotel. The hotel is not located in Ravello like the name suggests. It is located in Minori, just off the main road. Taxi to Ravello costs 40 euros each way. Alternatively you can catch a bus from Minori (bus stop is outside the hotel) to Atrani (one stop on the bus or a 15 minutes walk) then change for a bus to Ravello. It's pretty straight forward and costs 3 euros per person. Bus tickets and timetable are available at the reception. Be aware you have to pay for bus tickets in cash.

The hotel itself is stunning with friendly staff and delightful food (honestly food was delicious). It was so amazing to hear the sea from the room and to swim in open water. The beach club is open from June so we didn't get to experience it. There is a small gym with a treadmill, a bike, mats, free weights (1 x 5kg and 1 x 2kg), bosu ball and a pull down machine. You can connect your phone to Sonos speaker if you download Sonos app. We didn't rate Ravello which is very small and busy so staying at hotel Marmorata was a blessing. Definitely one of my favourite hotels!

We were fortunate to be able to visit this hotel a week after it re-opened from the Corona lockdown.
Very good hotel, in excellent location overlooking the sea and access to the water from private bathing area.
Very good restaurant, comfortable rooms.
Unfortunately the buffet breakfast was not available, as one had to pre-order instead.
Relatively easy access to all the nearby local towns, having a car great advantage, although one is also able to use all the paths to get to Ravello, Amalfi, Minori and further if you are fit and adventurous.
We greatly enjoyed our escape, which was improved further as we were the only "foreigners" apart from one French family.

How do we give this place 10 stars? Literally everything was perfect. The property is the only hotel in ravello with beach access. They also have a pool. When you jump into the ocean there is a beautiful waterfall you can swim to. They have plenty of pool toys and kayaks. There is a bar at the pool with food and drinks. The staff there was soooooo nice and on point. The restaurant on site was delicious. We went there both nights. The staff at the restaurant was so incredibly friendly. Make sure you try their Bellinis. I’ve never had anything like it. This hotel is not walking distance to ravello or minori but they do have shuttles. There is a trail to ravello you can take but in the hot months I wouldn’t recommend. It’s about 1200 steps. It was honestly so nice at the hotel we didn’t have to leave. Thank you ravello staff for making this leg of trip so dreamy and perfect. We will be back!

This is quite a gem set on the coast. Once you get past the crazy roads to reach the hotel the reception is warm and welcoming. The staff are very pleasant. Breakfast is standard and in a lovely room. Our room was on the 2nd floor and was functional. The bathroom was tiny and the shower cubicle so small it was better to walk through the water and stand at the back of the shower than try to shower conventionally! Also a lack of amenities one would expect with a four star hotel - just a generic bottle of shampoo/ body wash attached to the wall- no soap, conditioner, body lotion etc. also no glasses in the room. We enjoyed our stay here - the sea swimming is very nice and the staff are lovely.
