Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow, wow and wow!!! Owl Barn is absolutely stunning and luxurious. The interior design is fantastic with high quality furniture and fittings. The accommodation is all on one level with spacious rooms, extremely well equipped kitchen and the bathroom is fantastic. Everything you could possibly need is provided with no detail left out. Our dog was very happy with his welcome pack and I especially love the idea of having a special dog tag with the barn's contact details. Lesley and Jane are wonderful friendly hosts who are always happy to answer any queries or offer advice on the local area and things to do and see. They also provide a lovely welcome pack which is a very nice and thoughtful idea. The barn is in a beautiful rural location with plenty of walks outside the door. The small pretty village of Loddon is a short drive away or 30 minutes if you fancy a nice walk in the beautiful countryside. Lastly but certainly not least the fully fenced garden is wonderful with beautiful seating and plenty of room for your dog to run around. Thank you Lesley and Jane for everything, your hospitality is second to none and we loved meeting you. We'll definitely be back next year. Best wishes Andy, Debs and Jax xxx

Linda and I stayed here for 4 nights with Chewie our cavapoo. Our first break away in 2 + years and well worth the wait. We were greeted by a ready meal for our first night and doggy treats for Chewie. Owl barn is in a very rural location - perfectly placed for a quiet recuperate with easy access to the city, coast and The Broads as well as a choice of dog friendly pubs, restaurants, etc. Worth rating at 5*+, a good review and friends and family recommendations.

We have stayed with Lesley and Jane many times and without exception can say that the barns are indeed 5 star accommodation. Having stayed in lots of self catering, dog friendly places over the years we can say that both Owl and Orchard barns are 'simply the best'! Very high standard of furniture, furnishings, amazing quiet location with some fabulous walks near by. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We have just spent another wonderful week in Orchard Barn with our two dogs.We couldn’t believe that the lockdown was eased on the day that we had tentatively booked. We had a warm welcome from Lesley and Jane and as before the barn was warm welcoming and spotless. Cold Prosecco ,milk and a lovely cook meal in the freezer what more could we want ! We where blessed with wonderful weather to walk the dogs locally and on the beaches. Outside dining was available everywhere we went and everybody was so welcoming and being Norfolk the dogs where warmly welcomed in the tea rooms and pubs and social distancing was never a problem. We came back feeing so relaxed and genuinely refreshed we cat wait to return in September

We travelled from Surrey to Orchard Barn last week armed to the hilt with sprays ,clothes, wipes and sanitisers ready to fight the dreaded Covid . We where met by Lesley and Jane who made us feel incredibly welcome. As soon as we walked into Orchard ban we knew we didn’t need to Clean anything it was spotless beautifully furnished and fully equipped to a very high standard With everything you could ever need, you could have prepared a banquet with all the equipment. Being a very dog friendly Barn “the kids “had dog treats ,bowls ,towels and even poo bags waiting for them. Also being very human friendly there was fresh local milk ,a lovely bottle of wine and a cook meal in the freezer for us which was delicious. The garden is dog fenced and has comfortable furniture and a large table With lovely views across the fields, there is also a showman’s caravan in the garden which was stunning and would be a great sleeping venue for children . The two bedrooms had very comfortable metal frame beds and blinds and curtains. The lounge diner was comfortable with 2 settees a large TV and wood floors which is handy for hairy dogs(dog blanket provided for sofa surfing dogs!) The bathroom has a huge walk in shower and is very bright and modern. We really can not recommend this beautiful Barn highly enough and we enjoyed it more than the huge cruise ships we usually “Inhabit” because we had our dogs with us. There is so much to do locally and there is an information pack In the barn provided by Lesley and Jane including menus for the local restaurants and other useful information. We spent a half day on the Broads with our 17 year old and 6 year old terriers and they had a blast. We never go to the same place twice but we booked for next year before we left !

We absolutely loved Owl Barn from a great welcome from Lesley & Jane throughout the week. It is beautifully furnished with a massive, supremely comfortable bed and a modern, contemporary decor throughout. It is in a great location in rolling farmland but within very easy reach of the Norfolk and Suffolk coasts. We shall certainly return.

We enjoyed a family get together at the Tithe Barn last weekend. We weren't actually staying in the holiday cottages. Some of the party live locally and we were looking for a comfortable venue for all to congregate. Jane and Leslie's function room suited us perfectly. Nothing was too much trouble as we had various dietary requirements as well as disabled guests. We opted for a cold buffet with hot additions (new pots, lasagne etc) and the most delicious lemon posset. (as well as a vegan option!!), fabulous cheese board and plenty to eat for everyone. We had personalised place mats with interesting facts from my dads birthdate and balloons! All in all everyone couldn't speak more highly of our experience. Thank you so much for helping us make special memories for our Dad on his big big birthday!

We stayed in the Owl Barn for two weeks while vacationing in Norfolk. Perfect location for day trips within the area. Fully equipped with everything one would need for self-catering. Very comfortable furniture and bed. Very peaceful setting with trails nearby. We felt completely at home while staying in the Owl Barn. Lesley and Jane were more than helpful providing answers to questions as well as great suggestions of sites to visit. Strongly recommend staying at the Sisland Tithe Barn.

Eight of us stayed in the barns and travellers van so that we could celebrate my husband's birthday. We have stayed before and yet again found Jane and Lesley warm, welcoming and very helpful. We went out most days but on Thursday (my husband's actual birthday) they cooked a special dinner for us all. It was fabulous, wonderful food, attentive service and even a card from them. We couldn't have felt more relaxed. The barns are spotlessly clean, and the beds are wonderfully comfortable. We hope to stay again next year.

Stayed in the Orchard Barn, lovely place and Lesley and Jane very helpful. Peaceful setting surrounded by nature, saw a barn owl and a red kite. Fab circular walk. Would highly recommend to stay here, spotlessly clean accommodation and well run with care and attention. We had our own private patio, also loved the eco friendly ethos.
