I was able to book my stay through booking.com easily. Though it failed to mention that the hotel was undergoing some renovations. The work being done however was of minimal disruption to my relaxation and the workers finished up before 5. The staff that I encountered were all very nice and welcoming with a warmth that is rarely found these...

Another business trip, another overnight stay in a hotel because flight times in and out of Canberra suck. As the business was in Barton, the Brassey was available even though there were a lot of things on. I hadn't been to the Brassey in years, and was pleasantly surprised with the renovation work going on. It's obviously still an old...

Brassey Hotel is just a hop from Capital Hill, so close to everything, 3.5km from the hub of the City Precinct, 5 minute walk to the Lake, 5 minutes from/to everywhere really. We enjoyed the clean quiet room, with a big comfortable bed. The staff were helpful and friendly. Overall a great stay.

Stayed at hotel for the long weekend in October. Purpose of trip was to attend Tango in the Spring which is held every second year. We were able to check-in to our room a little earlier which was nice and stayed in room 243. The room was very spacious and faced out over the main entry and was located above...

Everything was so easy right from the start, the booking, the confimation, the check in. The staff were so accommodating, friendly and informative. Plenty of facilities close by to suit most travellers and the best beds and pillows I've slept on in ages. Definitely coming back.

Lovely building, a nice outdoor area, with bikes for hire. The building has character and the rooms were very comfortable, king bed and substantial old-school furnishings. It is undergoing renovations for spa, restaurant and bar currently so will have even more to offer in the future. I liked that it is equal walking distance between Kingston and Manuka, great restaurant...

The unit in my room is completely shot and vibrated all night long. Not impressed. Room is adequate. But tired. TV is a great size. Location is ok. No breakfast offered which is poor. Hotel is under renovation. Would I come back. No! Overpriced for what you get.
