Completely mixed opinions about this place, hated it at first then grew to really like it as there are a lot of long termers. Staff weren't rude but they would never initiate convos or act enthusiastic. However, for the price you get a really really good breakfast and free wifi in the whole hostel. Give it time to make friends...

I was for almost two month in this hostel and it was the best place for this time! It is for people who want to work and make party. The hostel is nice inside and it is enough space everywhere, for all the great people. I could enjoy the best wifi I had in my time in Australia. It was...

We stayed here for more than two month and we loved it! Best breakfast and an awesome place to stay. If you stay there for longer it feels like home and the people are really familiar. The cleaning and the management is awesome as well. The next time I'm in Sydney I definitely want to come back to this hostel!!

Excellent hostal, great environment. There are always people doing shift to clean, I have seen several renovations and improvements like the floors. It's a good place to come to share and spend an entertaining stay.

It's a good place to stay, with a friendly and homely atmosphere cause of the people who stay for extended periods. In the beginning I booked to stay one week and I've been here for two months. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, cause they are cleaned constantly. Excellent place to practice English. Totally recommended!!

So the hostel hasn't got the best smell when you first get inside, but the rooms are fairly decent & once you are a long termer your in a different room to people staying just one night so everyone makes it like home. I checked in for two weeks and ended up staying seven months, the people there are great...

This place is a stinky disaster. It smells like they just spray male cologne in an effort to appear clean. The kitchen is filthy, but even worse the owner decided to lock the kitchen door (because no dishes were getting done) meaning we could not cook food! So even if you had just arrived, not used the kitchen, or had...

First of all, this area is super seedy and if you are lucky like us you will be greeted when you enter King's Cross by sites of police arresting belligerent homeless people, prostitutes showing off there goods on the street and other such wonders. It is a really bad neighbourhood. The hostel itself is just as seedy and is occupied...

Stayed in this for over a year on 2 separate occasions. Both times I love it. Made ever last memories and created the person and gave me valuable experience. The atmosphere is party hard. If that is what you like then you'll love this place. Was always something different each night in the cross with free drinks involved. Staff were...

Don't expect anything other than a hostel for long term residents that party most nights. We stayed here while trying to find jobs which wasn't the best idea, but we did have a good few nights here that we won't forget any time soon!! The hostel as a whole isn't very clean at all (our room wasn't cleaned once the...

Staying in Kings Cross

Neighbourhood Profile
Kings Cross
Changing liquor laws are remodeling "The Cross," Sydney's red light district. These new rules have encouraged trendy cafes and boutiques to pop-up in the area, as well as organic markets on Saturdays. The area's nightclubs are still popular with youngsters, however, who will dance to the early morning hours on weekend nights. There are plenty of artifacts from Kings Cross' shady past when gangsters and liquor houses owned the place. Today, one can still find a variety of adult entertainment venues in this evolving area.
