The location is right next to Kings Cross station which makes it easy to get to and from the city or Bondi (or work in the morning if you've gone out the night before!) The layout of the hostel means it's really easy to meet new people or if you want to just chill out on your own. I loved...

Right next to KingCross station, the neighborhood has supermarket, stores, places to eat, banks, ... great location but it is fair to say that it is a backpacker hostel, so prostitutes and strip clubs are also present, there is a lot of hostels in the area. Breakfast it is average Ok bad points, we ask for a double twin room,...

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Our free breakfast consists of, two types of bread, five different spreads, four different cereals, milk, tea and coffee, we believe this is really good value. When you book online if you book a twin room this would be a set of bunk beds, this is specified on all...

First impression from the outside is "oh god what is this place" as it is a small pathway to a doorway in between the train station and some other building. Looks are deceiving as this was one of the best hostels I have stayed in. The interior was very nice and welcoming with an equally nice and welcoming staff. They...

Nice to stay and easy to walk around Sydney. Good accommodations and nice reception. Not for people who are looking for a fancy place to stay. More for backpackers and travellers that do not spend much time inside a hotel.

I am an astronaut, I am embarking on the first manned journey to the surface of Mercury, as part of my training I was required to stay at jackaroo hostel to experience what living temperatures would be like. Hi George, Thank you for your review. We are so sorry your stay was not pleasant because of the air conditioning. Unfortunately it was totally out of our hands, we had a technician working on the issue but it was not a quick fix and took some time. You will be happy to know that the issue has now been...

I visited Jackaroo hostel in Kingscross at the beginning of my East Coast trip. First impressions of the hostel were good as the staff were helpful and it was busy, so we presumed it would also be sociable. Unfortunately it became apparent that those who had been staying at the hostel for a while did not concern themselves in accommodating...

Hi Emily, Thank you for your review. We are glad you found the hostel clean and safe. We are sorry you didn't find some of the guests more accommodating, some people do stay a bit longer than the general backpacker and form strong friendships. We do try and get everyone included in all events, we are currently in the processes...

Room was small and without any amenities - only a bed and not working TV. There were no adaptors for electricity sockets, there were no A/C, there were no windows in the room (except small window in the corner). There is nothing to do in the room at all. Only to sleep and go away immediately after you woke up....

Stayed here for 4 nights in October. The location is good. Easy walk to the heart in the city / opera house in 25min. Staff was also friendly and the price was good for Sydney. The only thing what I didnt like was the room. A tiny 6 bed dorm with no windows. So you can imagine the "nice scent"...
