Brilliant base to explore Sydney. The Light Rail/tram stationis a couple of minutes walk away, as are the Maritime Museum and Pyrmont Quay, where you can get the Ferry to Circular Quay and the Opera house, botanical gardens and central Sydney.

Check-in was hassle free, parking was organised and the room was clean, small. The bathroom was adequate but could be updated in the near future. Wish TV's were at eye level and not halfway to the ceiling giving severe neck-ache! Breakfast was buffet style and of very good standard, although on one day the table clearing and cleaning was slow....

We have just stayed for the weekend at the Ibis Darling Harbour. Check in and out was efficient, the location was close to Darling Harbour and the Sydney ICC where we attended a concert, the beds and pillows were comfortable, the $15 buffet breakfast each day was delicious and the wait staff were happy to prepare poached eggs and provide...

We stayed overnight as we had tickets for a show at the International Convention Centre Theatre. We were pleasantly surprised that we were able to check in early, as we were planning on dropping off our bags and exploring Sydney. Great view of Darling Harbour - worth the extra money for a room on this side of the motel. Room...

We stayed for one night on a spur of the moment decision and we were lucky enough to snag a very good discount for the room by booking online. The hotel is super close to everything in Darling Harbour (especially if you want to visit the Maritime Museum) but be ready for a bit of a hike if you end...

I attended a conference at the Darling Harbor ICC. The hotel is at an easy walking distance. Darling Harbor itself is a great location, and a walking distance from downtown Sydney. Don't miss the "I'm Free, free Sydney walking tours" where get a great tour, and pay as much as you feel like. The rooms are clean. The staff is...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
