I booked two awards nights at this hotel. While there are many positive features including the location, views, pool, and room quality, nothing can compensate for the walls pounding all day and night as someone runs on a treadmill in the overhead gym. It shocks me they have a room located underneath the gym. Aside from offers to move to...

Loved everything about the hotel! The staff could not have been nicer and the location was perfect. Hotel is very non-descript from the exterior, but beautiful interior and views. Our room had an amazing view of the harbor and Opera House. Room was spacious and probably one of the nicest rooms we've ever stayed in.

We had lunch at the bar as the dining room was fully booked. There were 8 of us (5 kids/teens +3 adults). We waited a while for starters which were delicious, the mains (burger & fries) took a while. Burgers finally came out but one of them had an ant on the lettuce. We weren't too impressed as we had...

We stayed one night in a opera view room which was very clean and confortable. The only bad thing about the room was the fact that water dripping off the balconies above meant that the furniture on our balcony was soaked even hours after the rain stopped. I had made a deposit for the total amount of the room rate...

Booked what we thought would be a great weekend package, views over the bay and beyond, romantic package, bottle of champagne on ice, one would have thought everything was planned for a great weekend. Upon our arrival the room had been beautifully prepared with rose petals, champagne on ice, but no views, just a view over a car park, obscured...

If you are a Sydneysider having that special occasion there is no better place to splash out than the Park Hyatt😎 The Opera House with its glistening sails sitting on the harbour and the Sydney Harbour Bridge are your immediate neighbours. The dedicated staff and amenities are second to none!

There is no dobut that this is the best location for a hotel in Sydney. The views are stunning. However I can't believe that they can honestly serve nespresso coffee. There is nothing better for me than a lovingly made barista coffee, consideration about what beans, how they brew it the whole thing speaks to the quality of the hotel,...

Location - fantastic (over looking Sydney Harbour and the Opera House and next to the Bridge). Breakfast - everything you could ever wish for. Rooms - superb (with heated loo seats!). Staff - attentive. Lovely to have a roof top pool to relax by before or after sight seeing - particularly with fluffy towels, chilled water and magazines on hand....

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
