This hotel was our first stop on a 16 day trip to Australia and New Zealand. After a 16+ hour flight, we arrived very early in the morning. Although our rooms were not ready upon arrival, the staff kindly ushered us to the spa where we could use the equipment and freshen up in the showers. I think every room...

We went for High Tea at the Hyatt. We had quite a wait to be served but when the food arrived it was delicious. Unlimited tea and wonderful scones with jam and clotted cream. The location was fantastic too, across the water to the Opera House, the most beautiful sight in the world.

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location, we couldn't have wished for a better view from our balcony across the harbour for our 2 nights in Sydney. Our room was big and luxurious, fabulous bathroom and large comfy bed. Generally good service, the staff on reception particularly were really friendly and helpful. The spa is great, we had a very good...

We celebrated our anniversary here. Perfect choice. This place has an amazing rooftop pool and the rooms have the best views of the Opera House. Very expensive but definitely worth it. We had a great dinner in the restaurant and a wonderful evening enjoying the sights of harbor from our balcony.

The hotel and the service was excellent. Arrived early but they had our room ready within 30 minutes. Lunch was excellent also. Loved the swimming pool. The location is right in the Rocks and easy to get to the cruise lines.

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
