This hotel is exceptional! Called up prior for an early check-in request, and although not guaranteed, we were surprised to have been able to come up to our rooms early - especially after such a long flight and without enough sleep! The receptionists are very nice people as well. It was refreshing to have a shut-eye for a while before... More

I stayed here the beginning of November. The hotel is in a great location, it's modern and clean. The room I stayed in had a comfortable double bed, clean bathroom, perfect for me as I was on my own. My room looked out on what appeared to be the outside of the middle of the hotel, and was a little... More

Right in the heart of town. Rooms are a little on the small side but we were only there one night prior to departing for a cruise and then a return night before flying back to New Zealand. Very clean and friendly. The staff were so knowledgeable and helpful. Special thanks to Minash for arranging an early book in time... More

Sometimes it is the little things about a cafe, restaurant or hotel that makes the visit/experience exceptional. We have always believed that good service, a smile and kindly advice can distinguish an establishment. So it was at The Bistro located within The Metro hotel on Pitt. The hotel is a centrally located, clean, and well maintained. Very convenient for a... More

Had a fabulous few days staying at the Metro in early November. Staff were really helpful and accommodating, with a special shout out for Chrissie, who went the extra mile for us, when we arrived very early in the morning on the day of my daughter's 30th birthday, after flying all night. Soooooo appreciated her special consideration! Great location and... More

Dear Annette P Thank you for your very kind review (and the cake you left for us to share). It is one of my absolute favourite things to read about the team and especially so when one of our recent starters in Chrissie has made an impact. I stayed here for four nights recently whilst having a weekend in Sydney and was meeting friends. I booked a deluxe double which was very roomy, clean and serviced each day. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The room had a fridge the size of a mini bar and a safety deposit box. If you turned right out of... More

The staff were most helpful and were very kind in letting me into my room much earlier than I was booked in, which was such a relief as I dont know Sydney and was unable to walk around due to an injured foot.

We stayed for three nights recently and the hotel was of a good standard unfortunately there is a lot of building work going on across the street from early in the morning which being a light sleeper made the stay a little less enjoyable. We arrived off a cruise ship at 9.30 am and the room was ready and we... More

Dear bangorgooner Thank you for the kind review. Our envious central CBD Sydney location does mean we can be in the thick of the action sometimes and all efforts are made to ensure our neighbours respect our hotel with regards to noise. I note the feedback about hairdryers and can let you know we should have hairdryers in all guest... More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
