We were very surprised with our rooms/apartments for such a small hotel hidden away on the corner. We had a kitchenette, dining area, lounge/office and bedroom as well as separate bathroom. The room was included in a package with Tickets to see Crowded House. It was close to the city and the harbour as well as China Town. Friendly staff... More

Rooms and fittings are tired, needs renovation from my opinion. Air conditioning is poor, facilities are poor. Hallway and around the hotel is pretty dim, needs more lighting, There was a false alarm in the morning that wakes us up, we don't know if we have to run down or not so we called reception to know what was going... Per the pictures on their website, the room that was issued to me was not what we received. The furniture was old and dates. Also, the curtains in the bedroom and the living room area was dirty and appears to have not been washed or changed in years. The only modern things within the suite was the kitchen area. The... A good Hotel where we had an apartment with two room and a kitchenette. We also had a balcony with furnitures. The location was super close to the nice Darling Harbour with many restaurants, Imax and the cinese garden.

I wouldn't recommend this accommodation at all. After a long flight from Hong Kong we arrived to a dingy, dark reception area. Check in was ok. The corridor to our room was dingy and the door to our room was unclean. Room was basic. We were aware that we had paid for room only but although they provided tea and... More

The location of the hotel could not have been much better in that it is very close to Darling Harbour and the Convention Centre. We walked to the train . It is virtually in China Town and very close to Paddys Market. There was a kitchen in our unit , and it was well appointed. The room was comfortable. My only negative was... More

The hotel was located in a great location - just a couple blocks from Darling Harbour and many restaurants! Directly across the street is a Asian Food court with great food. The room itself was very tired and worn. Walls marked up, tread marks on carpet, shower wall with blurry emblem, etc. We were on a higher floor, with a... More

Very polite and efficient staff made our first few days in Australia very relaxing. The proximity to Darling Harbour Park, Chinatown and many downtown restaurants. We even were able to walk to the Paddington Market on Saturday Morning, albeit about 30 minutes - but well worth the adventure. Room was clean and well stocked with amenities. We felt very safe... Staff were friendly and room was secure and quiet. However all aspects of the accommodation is really in need of a face lift and desperately requires some basic maintenance. Shower head was problematic (wouldn't stay up), and holes in tiles on bathroom walls. These and the issues I saw could be rectified by a reliable handy man.

In the heart of the city, close to everything. Recommend this place highly. The rooms were clean service good walking distance to Darling Harbour and restaurants. Beds were of good quality and quiet could not hear the traffic.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighbourhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theatre, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.
