Overall a great place to stay. Staff very friendly and do their best to please. The room I was changed to was excellent. Walking distance to Circular Quay and Darling Harbour. Would definitely return.

This hotel was excellent. We stayed for a week. It was very central for the city and we walked to most places that we wanted to visit. It was only a 10 minute walk to the ferry and the Opera House. Good restaurants along the waterfront.

Easy to get to via train, just a 20min train ride from the Airport. This was very central to everywhere, The Rocks and King St Wharf were just a short walk away. The rooms were very comfortable and I loved the shower.

We were relocated from Travelodge Phillip St to Travelodge Wynyard. The changeover was very smooth and they even discounted the room rate to make up the difference in parking rates. The location is a bit busier and noisier on weekends than Phillip St but it wasnt as bad as expected.....

I've just spent 6 nights here. Fab location. Easy walk to darling Harbour, circular quay, the rocks and main shopping areas. Could perhaps do with an update and better air-con is a must. Loved the toiletries and softest bath towels ever.

Our first visit to Australia we were made very welcome by the staff, the location in Sidney was ideal, in easy walking distance of 'The Rocks' and Circular Quay. The room we had was a nice size, quiet, with a decent en suite and with a comfortable bed. Breakfast catered for all your needs and had a dinner one night...

Overall a great place to stay and excellent service! Will definitely return. The only frustration was that the internet/wifi connection was slow and the free data available was insufficient particularly since I was there on business. If that is rectified I'd rate the place a 10/10!

It was convenient to the railway, Opera House and Circular Quay. All that I wanted. No SMH newspaper in sight just the Telrgraph. Disappointed with that. Quite impersonal which can be good or not depending on what you want

A very warm welcome by the manager, Michael. Such a convenient hotel, but the complete opposite, as far as satisfaction goes, compared to our stay there earlier this year. The lifts were also a bit of a problem - the doors were inclined to close too quickly and were bumpy.

Location is excellent but I had some problems with the room I was allocated (815). This is room is right near the lifts and is so narrow you can't fit properly through the door with a large bag. I couldn't close the old wooden shutters, the window did not seal properly quite and the traffic noise was a bit much....

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
