We stayed in one of the shared-bath rooms and felt like we were in a hostel. The room had 2 bunk beds, luckily one of the bottom bunks was a double but still, did not enjoy sleeping under a bunk. The balcony off our room, although also not private, was lovely. The room was clean but smelled stale/musty. There was...

The place smell of old carpet and you could also smell the musky dust in the air. Was very disappointed in the rooms I've book for my family and myself. We were given 3 separate rooms each on different floors and area of the house. The pantry, common area, backyard and side garden for outdoor seating was decent though. I...

A large hotel, many family rooms. Could do with updating, but clean and comfortable. On a main road, bus route, busy although quiet. Good kitchen facilities and helpful staff. Laundry facilities are available.

This was booked for us by someone else so had no idea what we were getting. But pleasantly surprised. Clean - good kitchen facilities - helpful staff (and usually very available). Linen was of good quality. There weren't as many cafes open for brunch on the weekend as i'd hoped but we managed

Glebe Point Road is a great area, lots of bars and cafes, close to the universities so pretty young demographics. I found the guest house's quality very good for the price charged. The stuff is extremely friendly and helpful. I stayed in a single en suite room.

I have been using this guess house 5 years. Great location, just 5' to Broadway shopping centre, right in heart of city, lot of restaurants and small pub around. Easy to get a bus or taxi just in front. ..friendly, value of service, clean, comfortable and cosy just like home.

We are a family of 5 travelled to Sydney from Singapore and stayed there 1 week. It is a beautiful guesthouse, great location with a lot of cafes and restaurants. Only 5-minute walk to supermarket. We enjoyed Glebe market on Saturday morning and firework at night time in Darling Harbour. Staffs are very friendly and helpful when we need. The...

I was there for 1 month and I had to change room 3 times. The first room was ok. The second room was nice but was next to a tree and every morning at 6am I was awake due to birds singing. The 3rd room was a disaster. There was a pipe coming from the room above me with very...

Great location, just a short cab or bus ride into the CBD. Great if you just need a bed for the night. We shared a bathroom but this wasn't a problem as we had 2 to choose from. Walking distance to a lot of great cafes and restaurants.

Thank Susan B

Staying in Glebe

Neighbourhood Profile
An inner city suburb along the water, Glebe has a deep-rooted sense of cultural history and heritage. It originated as a semi-rural resort for the well-to-do, but has transformed into a student-centric melting pot. Visit Glebe Point Road for ethnic cuisine as standard as Mexican, Indian, Italian and Chinese, or as diverse as Spanish, Bavarian, Polish, Czech and Lebanese. You will find that Glebe is accepting of the eccentrics and aboriginals that roam the streets, integrating students and people of all economic statuses into the multi-cultural fabric that distinguishes this suburb. Glebe Foreshore is a great destination for a leisurely walk along the Bay, and the Saturday market is a great scene for bargain hunters.
