If you are seeking an historic hotel with good accommodations, great pub food, and just far enough away from the hustle of Circular Quay to be peaceful, the Lord Nelson should be your choice. Be sure to ask for a room with private bath, and try to get one on the second floor. There is no elevator.

The beer's good (with a large choice), the food's good (traditional pub grub as well as the more exotic), the atmosphere is buzzing so what's not to like about The Lord Nelson? Situated in the Rocks, alleged to be the oldest pub in Sydney, this is a "must visit" for me on every trip to Sydney. The service can be...

Been here many times, it's on my must do list if I'm in Sydney. It can get a bit busy and the food is good pub food but it's the beer and the building that you should come here for. If you don't like old buildings and you don't like beer don't visit.

Great non fussy pub to sit down and drink with friends and strangers. Had nice wine and beer selection and was moderately priced. It is pretty packed so you will end up sitting amongst like minded. You can get food upstairs but there was a holiday event that had rented it out the night we were there.

The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel's pub is a must for beer lovers. They have a good selection of beers of which their own products work well too. You can enjoy them there or take away. The pub seems to be also a popular after work spot among locals.

With house made beer brewed in yr basement, it's a one of a kind in The Rocks area which is fill of hundreds of food and drink options. The Blood beer was a great porter to end the night with. Overall, one of our favorite places in Sydney!!

I said we would return to this Hotel for my next visit to Sydney and we did and it was as enchanting as the first time. This time we were on the top floor in a larger room very quiet and comfy and we even had a bathtub in our ensuite. The location is fantastic very close to Darling Harbour...

Great atmosphere in this popular old pub, which is one of two claiming to be Sydney's oldest. Good beers and a fair menu, but despite asking that customers place and pay for all orders for your table as a group (individual orders and split payments not wanted) our meals came out in dribs and drabs with cutlery coming later. By...

We had a delicious meal here on a rainy weekday night and returned for drinks and nibbles a couple of days later. Really nice vibe and was always busy. Would definitely return next time we are in Sydney.
