Front door entrance- broken old door system giving a very poor first impression although there is a new touch pad system in place but not the first thing you see. Room looked nothing like the picture advertising it. Think the foyer and room we stayed in had recently been painted as well as the room we stayed in, lots of...

This certainly is not a boutique hotel. I would class this as a budget / backpackers hotel with no facilities. A great location and walking distance to most areas. Lots of reasonable restros and bars within the immediate area. If your paying around $99 USA per night then this type of hotel may work for you. I would stay here...

This hotel could do with a major overhaul, everything about it was horrible. My sister booked this room for us both and out 2 children. I wouldn't recommend anyone take their children here , it's in between a bottlo and a fetish sex shop. The bathroom was so run down, with the kitchen in there also. The Windows didn't close...

We arrived late Friday afternoon after walking past what can only be described as questionable characters, to find the Wattle hotel located next to a fetish clothing store. We had booked the family room for 6, we felt unsure so we asked to see the room and there were only two double beds whilst we were looking the attendant cleaned...

We booked this at the last minute as our air B&B booking let us down, with no time to read reviews we were just looking for something suitable for 3 people. Poor first impression, arriving by car we struggled to park and then found the entrance between a bottle shop and a fetish shop.....our first indication that we had arrived...

We stayed at the Wattle hotel for three nights, with our three children. We booked the Family Room, with additional charge of $29.00 for an extra bed. Although the room is a bit dated, we had a lovely time. In the middle of the city, enough space to move around. Beds were good, bathroom was spacious. Okay, we might have...

I am disgusted appealed and extremely let down by my stay at Sydney wattle hotel. The bed was uncomfortable and felt like it would fall if you moved or sat on it, and made a loud cracking noise when ever I moved, I felt very unsafe; when I approached staff about the situation I was told that it's all attached...

Says its 4star I think -4 star Was suppose to stay the night the place is filthy couldn't even come to take my shoes off. I left and went home so not worth $215 a night the balcony off the room looks like it was going to collapse. Couldn't turn aircon on as it hasn't been cleaned and is full...

I wouldn't recommend this place at all, totally bad experience with the booking, Asked for requests and never got what I paid for, and this place still charged full price for services never met. Reception quite rude over phone and non helpful, have stayed here before in the past and well didn't really find the rooms quite up to scratch,...

I booked a family room for two nights, the room was large and clean. It has some dated fixtures, but everything was serviceable. Kitchenette was a handy addition, own balcony was a nice touch. Was a 5 minute walk from where I was working. So very convenient location. Big TV, modern AC a plethora or restaurants at your doorstep.

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
