I was put in a dorm with four young girls who had spread their stuff out all round the room that it looked like their rucksacks had exploded. Despite the window being open the room stank of feet. The building is dark and in desperate need of some money being spent on it. I understand that the décor probably doesn't...

This hostel is conveniently located between a 5-10 minute walk from Sydney central and is relatively cheap. The facilities are mostly clean and modern and the aircon was a god send. The desk staff are friendly and helpful and you're able to leave your luggage in a room after check out free of charge which is also good. My only...

I am not too sure about this hostel in terms of the rooms that are contained within this old Victorian styled terrace - i.e fire hazard - no fire exit stairway or possible escape alternative in event of fire and some old roofing in top rooms. There is a more modern building annexed at back which I have not been...

If you are looking for a place where to stay no more than 2 or 3 nights this is a good place. It has good services as free breakfast (bread and cereals with milk, coffee and tea) or the free shuttle bus from the airport (up to $15). They also give you linen and towels. The worse part is that...

Stayed here with a group of friends awhile back. I stayed in a separate room to the group as I was always the first up for work and needed sleep. The guys were in a room out by the car park and I was next to the kitchen. With a big room comes a bit of mess. Even more so...

Stayed here twice. Both times not comfortable. No fresh air. Sealed windows. Air con units you cant control & remotes with no batteries. Fridge not cold enough. Shower with broken handle. Squeaky beds. Other time no blankets available & was freezing. On the plus side, room was quiet enough. And have a very chilled/liberal attitude. If staying here would get...

I would stay here again. Not fancy, but neither is the price. The single private rooms with ensuite were quite adequate and great for a budget traveller. Note that you have to buy a $5 zipped mesh bag if you want to use the communal fridges, but once you have the bag the system is very practical and the bag...

The worst thing, it was pretty dirty and the linens were awful. I slept with my jacket and long trainings on to prevent my skin on touching the linens. Exaggerated much? I'm not a clean freak but this was a big no for me. I even moved to another place on my 3rd day in syd. Well you get what...

We stayed here as a cheap alternative for a family gathering. It was cheap, but so was the quality. Don't stay here expecting anything fancy, it's not. We got a 6 bunk room so the 5 of us could fit in. It was very tight and some of the beds were awful. One had lots of slats missing and the...

Location is fantastic, being a short walk to Central Station, and the room was clean and the bedding soft. Noise was minimal after 10:30pm, as the common areas were not allowed to be used after this time. Only downside was the bathroom smelled a little off, and there was no soap in the bathroom, not even hand soap at the...
