Having come to Sydney straight from Asia, the main attraction was the price, as most of Sydney is incredibly expensive. As my partner and I had planned to live and work in Sydney for over 6 months, we originally intended to stay long-term and took a week of accommodation on the weekly rate which worked out to be very good...

We stayed for 4 nights in a private room, the room was a bit small and only had a bed, fridge, tv and sink. The staff was really nice to us and gave advise on what to do and what was on in the city, we took a really good guided tour and saw some fire works on our first...

Stayed here only due to the price. Seemed nice and clean and was constantly being cleaned by the staff. The staff were a mismatch. Some seemed energetic and happy to help or even just say hello, others it seemed like too much effort to even recognise our presence. Room was tiny and boiling hot, and too noisy at the weekend....

Like the header already indicates, there is absolutely no reason to go to this place except for the price (which compared to Asia still is ridiculously high)! Staff is unmotivated, bathrooms are dumps and most of the other guests have nothing in mind but drinking and shouting! Avoid it!

I checked into Zing after having stayed at another hostel that was a bit of a hellhole so anything was gonig to be better. But Zing was definitely much better! The room had enough space for everything we needed and included a sink and a fridge which I've not had before while travelling. There's several showers and bathrooms so I...

Stayed here with my boyfriend in a double room for our last week in Australia. When we came to ask prices the staff member was rude but we came anyway.. Didn't get much sleep while our stay. First three nights near the courtyard where nightmare. People screaming, yelling, drinking and smoking till six am. (The room was very hot and...

I've stayed at a lot of hostels around the world but Zing definitely ranks in the top few in atmosphere. Great and friendly staff make it an easier stay and there isn't as high of a turnover of guests. No more meeting, rinse & repeat, great place to meet folks and hang out with them for a bit. It's a...

We had booked in another hostel but they double booked our beds and it was full. So we had to find a new hostel at 9pm and we found this one. Alistair, the guy who greets us, was really nice and found us a room. The hostel is nice and there is a free breakfast. Thanks you for everything!

Hello! Zing is an absolute treat. Great value, top bathrooms and the laundry room is fantastic for extra-curricular activities. The staff are amaZING, especially Josh who regularly buys ham for the hostel. Alistair's weekly quiz night is also a must-do, and Andrew makes a full cooked breakfast in bed for all guests which is very kind of him. The swimming...
