I was only here for 1 night my family had been here for 3 night prior to my arrival, they had said they enjoyed their stay service was great the only thing waa they changed rooms after the first night cause the noise outside kept them up but apart from that we enjoyed staying at the vulcan hotel.

My wife stayed for just one night during our honeymoon tour of NSW. A well located, clean and friendly hotel. Made all the better because of our upgrade to the top floor apartment. I would definately recommend the Vulcan and actually will look to stay here again in February 2014 on our next visit.

This hotel is a Hidden Gem very close to the City. I was attending a conference at Darling Harbour which was an easy 10 minute walk from the hotel. I checked in at 11am and was pleasantly surprised to be able to check into my room at this time. The room was not huge but well appointed and comfortable. Well...

Hi Lou268, Thank you for describing our hotel as a Hidden Gem. We adore our heritage building, we are what we are and that is a quaint heritage building on the fridge of Sydney's entertainment and business district. Thank you for reviewing our hotel and we welcome you back again.Carole & Harvey - Owners

Negatives We arrived after a lengthy flight and were faced with a double room with tiny wardrobe and storage space. We asked to move room due to the size of the room and the noise outside and were told that we would have to pay another $20 AUS a night for a slightly bigger room, which we decided against Positives...

Mads1975 thanks for your review and always appreciate when a senior contributor reviews our property. We pride our selves on offering excellent value for money 3.5 star hotel accommodation. Some view our rooms as minimal and small however that is a style we chosen to represent the age of the building and of course being a delicious old heritage building...

Unless you absolutely have to be down this end of town don't book this hotel. The conference we were attending in nearby Mountain Street booked this hotel as it was the closest, but the rates were far from reasonable: $215 per night for a double room. Our room was small, the furniture was chipped, the bathroom sink had 2 cracks,...
