As a former old folks home this hotel has its quirks, like hand rails along all the corridors and extra wide doors. This is just an observation not a criticism. The hotel is otherwise comfortable and quiet. The room I stayed in even had a balcony, although only big enough to accommodate a couple of chairs and the view wasn't... More

For a hotel close to heart of Sydney, it's hard to beat. The Woolloomooloo wharf area is developing quickly as a 'go to' area in the city. There are many fine restaurants, a couple of great pubs, little cafes to discover amongst the leafy streets and all within a short walk of the centre of town. The Botanical Gardens and... More

walking distance to the cruise liner wharf, the Rocks, The Opera House & the CBD. Built in 1992 as units for the rehabilitation of disabled seamen. As a result everything is spacious with wide doors etc. Each floor has a large lounge with comfortable seating, TV,microwave and tea & coffee making.

We had a one night stay either end of a cruise, location was convenient for both the Overseas Terminal taxi $17 also White Bay Cruise Terminal taxi $26. Reception managers are very friendly and helpful, we arrived early from our cruise and was given access to our room just after 11 am which we greatly appreciated. The rooms are clean... More

It is hard to find this quality in a budget hotel, excellent value and a superb location for all the central tourist attractions. Quiet, clean and a nice buffet breakfast included - we had the best sleep, not geared for the party crowd. Management most helpful with a free handout that assisted with choices for transport, external food places and... More

I organised a 50th reunion for a group of 35 men and women at Mariners. The Mariners is well located at Finger wharf with the 311 bus taking you very quickly to the main parts of the city of Sydney through to The Rocks. A very nourishing breakfast comes as part of the tariff. The rooms are clean and have... More

Very nice hotel with an really good location - you can walk everywhere in central Sydney. You get very good breakfast and the service is good in all aspects. The rooms are not very modern but cosy. Good value for money.

There are call bells in the bathroom and the beds are not that comfortable. That said, the location is good and close to a train station. The neighbourhood is a bit rough but a couple of streets away is Darlinghurst which is less so. The breakfast is fine. Take note of the restrictive check in times.

Perfect for exploring Sydney. Easy walk to bus stop to city. Really nice to walk to town through the gardens. Close to Victoria St and Kings Cross. Clean and comfortable. Quiet street, nice facilities. Balcony and door made room easy to get fresh air.
