Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really beautiful campsite. Flat and large fields. Service buildings are very often cleaned and modern. Great service at the reception and store. All for relative low prices. Thank you for the nice visit!

Can't say I think its more than average, and therefore I probably will try to find a Kro next time I'm staying in or near Djurs. We stayed at Auning Camping since we were going to Djurs Summerland and this was close by. We rented a 12 square meters cabin for our family of four, and it's tight and little floor space, but I guess that's what you can expect when you're trying to overnight two nights as cheap as possible. Ok clean toilets and showers, but not more than that. The playground for the kids where good, and our oldest (4,5 years) liked it.

The was a great place for a couple of nights. I can warmly recommend the hire-tents/"tent wagon", for a night or three. There is free hot water showers (and they're clean!), a small shared kitchen and good play facilities for kids. The staff has a lot (!) of rules of what's ok and not, that's probably why it's that tidy and clean around there, but in the long run I personally would have found it quite annoying. Walking distance to the litte centrum of Auning, and 10 min's drive to Djurs sommerland.

Auning camping is a traditional Danish camping site with caravans, tents and cabins. I guess it can be a bit national romantic for Danes and Norwegian. Personally I found it okay, but nothing more. We stayed in a small cabin for 5 days. The cabin had a hems/ loft where two people could sleep. The interior was good, but the mattress I slept on was not. The cooking facilities were outside in a fancy new “car port”, but the toilets/ bathroom were old and disgusting. You can feel the Danish recession in many ways these days. For example we were almost alone at the camping. Also, when we checked out, one of the many staff members ran down to our cabin to count the spoons, forks and knives. There was one tea spoon missing, she could report to the superior on duty, but we didn’t have to pay for it. The location is perfect if you want to experience the Djurs area, or if you want to stay close to Djurs Sommerland. One thing we didn’t expect, there were a lot of nice tracks for running or hiking, including hills, close to the camping.

Thanks for your review, But I'm sorry to read, that you write here is dirty and disgusting... We advertise online on our website and hardcopy materials that we have an old servicebuilding, so our guests now what is waiting, but there is always clean at all our facilities, including the old service building so it's not all fair what you write, but thanks anyway for the review and the 3 of 5 :) Best regards Campingfatter
