My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at Longitude 131 and loved every second of it! From the greeting from Tom as we walked out into the baggage collection area at Ayers Rock Airport to the constant supply of cold towels, drinks and canapes, to the incredibly friendly welcome we received from all of the tour guides at the...

We stayed in Longitude 131 at the start of November and had the most amazing weekend. We were pampered the entire time we were there and the schedule of activities they set up for us was perfect. Definitely recommended for a special weekend

We much enjoyed Longitude. Fabulous position, perfect peaceful setting, lovely "tents"with the most comfortable bed I have slept in for a long time. The food was delicious and the tours interesting - we had an exceptional guide in Toby and his timing of our Walpa Gorge walk was perfect as we were before the crowds. However, there were some staffing...

Dear Tootlepip3 Thank you for this review of your stay and most especially your comments regarding the fine cuisine, the quality of experience delivered by our guide (Toby will be thrilled!) and the comforts of the tent, namely the Baillie Bed (indeed, slumber heaven!). We regret that you feel the experience was diminished somewhat by some inconsistencies in service. You’re...

Food and accommodation is sensational. The rooms are called tents but the Ritz should have tents like these. Great balcony where you can sleep in a swag with a sophisticated fire and after dinner rinks if life in the air con gets too much. Every meal is world class. The wines are included. BUT. If you have more time and...

Dear Connolly47 Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay. That you consider the lodge cuisine world-class and the comforts of the ‘tents’ comparable to the Ritz is wonderful to hear. Your comment regarding the presence of Indigenous Australians at the lodge is a natural question and we welcome the opportunity to respond. Employment at Longitude 131°...

From the minute you land at this most remote location and a very nice person from the hotel greets you one feels in good hands. The hotel staff is extraordinary and they constantly go out of their way to make sure you are happy. Sometimes it is a little too enthusiasm for one day... but it is all great, the...

It is unbelievable what a motivated hotel crew is able to offer! Everybody has the willingness to go any extra-mile for the guests. From the very beginning you are feeling at home. The luxury tents are decorated in a wonderful style and every room is facing the Uluru. The hotel employs very professional guides who operate extremely interesting tours in...

Like all the Baillie lodges this place isn't cheap, but it is an amazing way to experience Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. The elevated and superbly appointed rooms look towards Uluru offering views of the rock from the day bed on the front deck. Sunset drinks are served on a hill behind the lodge that offers views to both Uluru and...

If you're planning to go to Ayers Rock, to see the Uluru and you have the budget: Longitude 131 is certainly the place to stay. Staying here was on my bucket list. The luxury lodge is located in a beautiful secluded location away from the mass tourism. We've spent two nights in tent number 12 named Severin which is in...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Longitude 131° offers immersion in the Australian outback, a true sense of stillness and beauty in this desert landscape, rich in cultural heritage and history. Explore the World Heritage listed wilderness of Uluru-Kata Tjuta and discover some of the ancient creation stories of the Anangu, the land's traditional custodians. Spend time exploring the diverse flora and fauna of the desert and come face to face with this irresistible land with the lodge's personally guided adventures. In the spirit of the original pioneers, stay in canopied pavilions that seem to float over the rust-red dunes. Luxuriously contemporised, today's explorers are cosseted from the elements in surrounds that favour refined comfort over ostentation. Classic furnishings meld with indigenous textures to evoke a sanctuary of earthy elegance. A private glass wall yields unparalleled views of Uluru (Ayers Rock). Exceptional cuisine celebrates a fusion of modern and local flavours. Enjoy an outback sundowner at the convivial open bar in the Dune House and dine under a glittering canopy of stars at Table 131°. Quieten to the night sounds of the desert and be mesmerised by the movement and songs of an ancient culture by firelight. Timeless and enriching, Longitude 131° promises a transcendent connection with this spirited land. ... more   less
