We got back on Monday from our week long stay at Willow Lakes. Whilst staying at Willow Lakes we stayed in the Swan Lodge.
We stayed as a family of four with two young children. The lodge itself was clean, spacious and comfortable for a week stay. It had everything we needed and could have wanted including WiFi, Dishwasher and washing machine and of course the hot tub. The views of the lake from the lodge were really nice, the whole area was quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed walking around the lake.
Jo met us when we arrived and took us down to the lodge, there was a nice welcome card and chocolates and prosecco in the fridge which was a really nice touch. When we booked we did not realise that there were only 3 lodges so it was a nice suprise to see just how quiet and peaceful it was.
The location of the park is great as it is only 20 mins into Cleethorpes and less than an hour away from Skegness. There are plenty of other things to do that are not too far away (little farms etc).
Whilst we were there, was an issue with water but Jo delivered some bottles of water to the lodges which was nice as she did not have to do this.
We would recommend anyone looking for a staycation to consider Willow Lakes, there is a seciton for camper vans and also the cottages which looked nice as well. The owners Jo and Lawrence are friendly, down to earth and I got the impression that they really cared about our stay and would have been happy to help had we needed anything. All in all a really enjoyable week long stay at Willow Lakes and would definitely return if we were looking to do another Lodge holiday.

This is just an incredible place to spend a relaxing week away, myself and my family of 4 have just arrived home after a week in the Swift lodge which i have to say is just amazing, the lodge was spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything that you need for a comfortable holiday in a beautiful location, the lake is very well stocked with carp, tench and rudd if fishing is your thing and after fishing a dip in the hot tub really hits the spot.
The location of the lodge is ideally situated to explore Lincolnshire and the Wolds which are stunning. Lawrence, Jo and the team we fantastic, nothing was too much bother and they were always on hand if needed and were always happy to just have a chat.
This was a holiday that will be remembered for a longtime to come and i would highly recommend it.
Thank you Lawrence and the team for just an amazing holiday, we will definitely be back.

We have just returned from Willow Lakes after spending the weekend in the KIngfisher Lodge. I just can't speak highly enough of it! The lodge itself is immaculate and has comfy beds, large fluffy towels and everything that you could possibly need to make your stay perfect. The kitchen is well equipped with good quality utensils, the welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits and milk was much appreciated and it was a real bonus to find dishwasher tablets as well as a scourer, dishcloth, washing up liquid and tea towels were supplied. There was no shortage of storage and wardrobe space in the lodge either with plenty of hangers supplied.
Then I come to the view from the veranda, it was so beautiful and peaceful. We were lucky with the weather and spent hours just mesmerized by the beautiful lake. There were several guests fishing and they were catching some really big carp!
The owners, Lawrence and Jo, were incredibly helpful and always available if you need them. After a really warm welcome from them Lawrence took us to our lodge to make sure that we were happy with everything. How could we not be?
We will definitely be returning ourselves and would highly recommend Willow Lakes to anyone looking for a get away from it all break.

We stayed as a couple in Kite lodge (couples only). The lodge is beautifully decorated and furnished. Plenty of space inside and on the balcony. Kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans, full size fridge / freezer, dishwasher and even a wine cooler.
Living area has a good size smart tv so you can link to your own Netflix account etc.
Under floor heating in the two bathrooms.
Main bedroom has a lovely wardrobe / dressing area with plenty of storage. Hairdryer.
Utility room with washing machine / dryer, iron and ironing board.
The balcony overlooks the peaceful lake with a hot tub situated to one end. Also furnished with table and chairs.
The cafe wasn’t open as planned when we visited so we are unable to comment on the food but it is in a lovely spot overlooking the countryside.
We had a lovely peaceful week, the park was only half full so my partner had the lake mostly to himself for fishing. He didn’t catch any big carp (biggest around 8lb) so if you’re a serious angler it might not be for you but if you’re just wanting to enjoy catching smaller fish then you should have plenty of opportunities.
Slight niggles / things we noticed.
Bedside lamp in main bedroom wasn’t working, probably just needing a new bulb.
There was no wine corkscrew / bottle opener in the kitchen, maybe a small oversight since they have a wine cooler fridge.
Both bathrooms have heated towel rails which Jo had said they would come on when showing us around. They didn’t come on at all, even when heating or underfloor heating was on. It wasn’t cold enough for us to really need them when we stayed as we had the other heating on but would be nice for drying towels after showers and hot tub.
The hot tub is set to a specific temperature which can’t be altered. We found it warm enough most days but a little cool one of the evenings when the wind had picked up and weather turned colder. The tub isn’t sunken so you do have to climb into it. No steps at the side to aid this so if you have mobility issues it may be difficult to get in and out of and same with taking the lid off. It’s not on a bracket so due to weight and size does require two persons to take it off safely and to avoid damage to the lid.
Bathrobes and slippers would be a lovely extra, especially in the adult only lodges.
The last points are just for information, not designed to put anyone off visiting at all as overall it’s a lovely place and we enjoyed our stay. It’s clear the owners are doing their best to improve the site and facilities. :)
Even though we weren’t travelling with children we really liked the ‘lost child’ safety areas around the site. Child friendly, clear signs of where they should go and wait should they wander off or ‘misplace’ their parents.

HI Rachael, Thank you for sharing your feedback of your stay in Kite Lodge. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed the lodge and its features. Please accept our apologies regarding the missing bottle opening and the bedside lamp. We have a large stock on site of such items, and these have now been replaced. We ask all guests on check in to inform of us of any issues or concerns during their stay to ensure we can rectify this to give an excellent customer experience, this is also stated in the guest welcome letter as we are on hand 24/7 to assist with any problems guests may face especially with regards to the accommodation. We have checked the towel rails, and these seem to be working correctly, they work alongside the radiators and are on a different circuit to the underfloor heating. It may be that the thermostat had being turned down, again if we were informed we would’ve been able to look at this straight away. When installing the hot tubs we chose to avoid the use of steps as these can become very slippery and dangerous when wet. We do however offer lodges with sunken or risen hot tubs to give guests the choice depending on their mobility. We also set the temperatures as we are advised too via the government guidelines, we are given which are explained in the hot tub section of the guest welcome back along with the recommended use time. We are thrilled to announce that the café is now open 7 days a week from 8am – 4pm serving a delicious range of coffees, cakes, pastries, and toasties etc. We are aiming to extend the hours in time for Mother’s Day next year for restaurant nights. We hope you get chance to visit us again to give Landmark Cafe and Restaurant a try! Best Regards

Our first visit to Willow Lakes and we've re-booked already! This setting, combined with the first class lodges make it a place to relax and enjoy. New lodges are very well fitted out, have plenty of space between them, and offer 5 star quality.
Laurence and Jo are both friendly and helpful and the ability to contact them direct on their mobiles is much appreciated. We wanted a quiet break, with access to some good local pub restaurants etc. Great tips from Jo, which all proved great. This is a truly brilliant place for peace and quiet, no entertainment but superb surroundings with great hosts. Our sort of place - we will be regulars from now on - Thank you! Mike & Ve Theobald

Just got back from a beautiful stay at Willow Lakes. Myself and my Husband wanted a much needed break away from it all, and that is exactly what we got. We stayed in Swift lodge it was beautiful and clean, over looking the lake, with the added bonus of a hot tub from which I could watch my Husband fishing from after Jo kindly borrowed him some fishing equipment and even gave him some food too, which was so nice of her. I would definitely recommend Willow Lakes to anybody wanting a nice peaceful break in beautiful surroundings. Just loved it and will definitely be returning. Thank you Jo for making us feel so welcome. Kevin & Bev

We have been coming to these cottages for 10 years plus. We absolutely love the place, the scenery and the fishing is brilliant. Lawrence and Jo were very welcoming and we received a bottle of prosecco and chocolate in the room on arrival which was a nice surprise. The cottages are very spacious and for us like a second home. Wifi is available with televisions in each of the bedrooms and the main seating area.
We caught over 100lb of carp on our second day with the biggest weighing 11lb 2oz. The fishing was exceptional.
The surrounding area is beautiful and this is definitely the place to stay if you want to explore the countryside and further afield. It is a haven for cyclists, fishermen, runners, golfers and beach lovers. We found a lovely hidden gem called fitties beach about 20 minutes from here and away from all hustle and bustle.
There is a go karting track 10 minutes away well worth a visit and we enjoyed a cricket match with another family on the grounds of willow lakes.
Cleethorpes and the amusements are 15 minutes away with supermarkets Tesco and Morrisons both within 10 minutes.
Overall fantastic, see you again next year!
