….BUT MAYBE NOT FOR PARTY ANIMALS AND RAVERS Between trips to out of Darwin locations I managed to fit in stays at 3 Mitchell St backpacker joints. The other 2 were YOUTH SHACK and MELALEUCA. I thought YHA the best, but not by a big margin – it seems backpacker joints have lifted their game: I have not stayed at...

Staff go out of their way to get the you're answers you're after. Booked a 3 day wet season tour in Kakadu and Litchfield, staff made all the enquiries smoothly and made my stay that much more welcoming. The pool could've done with more of a clean, still quite nice to dip into when you've been walking around all day....

Hostel is located on the quiet end of Mitchell Street. We stayed in an en-suite room which was clean and functional. The housekeeping staff were friendly and polite and Jay on reception was very helpful. We booked all our tours via the hostel. The hostel is a 2 minute walk to the waterfront or shops. The kitchen is small and...

I stayed here for four nights after a three day tour around Darwin. It was perfect because it was so quiet and the room (four bed female dorm) was never full, so I was able to get a good nights sleep without being disturbed. It's not a modern hostel but it was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful....

Had a great stay here last week in a four-bed dorm. The location is pretty good; it's a block or two away from the pubs, which is good for quiet sleeping but less good if you're walking back alone in the dark. Beds were comfortable, ensuite bathroom was very clean and modern. Air conditioning was free and worked pretty well...

Very unfriendly staff, especially the manager. Rooms have their own bathrooms, kitchen is rather small. Outside area has a pool. Yoga was offered, which was very nice. Good location, close enough to the action but just far enough not to be a big party hostel. There is a lack of parking space.

Stayed at the YHA in Darwin for about 10 days, It's in a good spot, very close to everything but not on top of it all.. Air con in the rooms is quality and every room has its own bathroom as opposed to big communal bathrooms which was handy. Such a friendly atmosphere in the place, Jay on reception is...

We stayed in a 4 bed dorm, ensuite bathrooms, and have nothing to complain about. Easily walkable to anything you would need in Darwin (not a very big place at all). They were responsive to all our questions and helped give good advice about safety and things to do. Wifi in the lobby only, they have a pool area that...
