Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Situated in a beautiful part of Wales Canaston Oaks is an amazing place to stay. We’ve previously stayed in the blue suite which was lovely, but as we were taking our dog we stayed in a cosy barn. Greeted with a warm welcome from Emma we went to our cosy barn which is dog friendly and included everything we needed. Start the day with a full breakfast, a stroll through the woodland walk before visiting the beautiful coast and countryside of west wales.

My partner and I stayed at Canaston Oaks for just one night at the end of October on our way to the Pembrokeshire coast. I have no hesitation in recommending it thoroughly. We found it to be excellent in all respects: comfort, amenities, location, breakfast, and service provided by staff.

A return visit and some exciting changes to an already fabulous B&B. Welsh hospitality at its best provided by Emma and her team, comfortable self contained rooms overlooking beautiful courtyard (we stayed in a superior king with underfloor heating, large bathroom, walk in shower, complimentary luxury toiletries) fabulous breakfast and great location just off A40 for exploring the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside and a short drive to Narberth for an array of independent shops and restaurants, definitely worth a visit. A beautiful lake with two self catering lakeside lodges have been added since our last visit, walks on your doorstep. We certainly recommend a stay at Canaston Oaks, well deserving of its 5* rating and we’ve been coming to Pembrokeshire for 20+ years and it’s just the best. Thanks Emma for a great stay. We hope to see you again soon.

Recently returned from our second 7 day stay at Canaston Oaks. We were here for a week last September and enjoyed our stay so much that we returned again for another week this year. The room we had had all the facilities needed by 2 disabled OAPs and was spotlessly clean and refreshed every day. Emma supplied a raised toilet seat and a waterproof chair for the walk-in shower as required by us. The (king size) bed was super comfortable, a kettle with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits was also provided. A fridge, ironing board & iron and fan were also provided in the large wardrobe. There was a very nice patio with table and chairs available. Breakfasts were excellent with loads of choice, and served in a very pleasant room with panoramic views of the beautiful surrounding countryside. Emma and her team worked tirelessly to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Rest assured that this will not be our last visit to Canaston Oaks!

We were delighted to find somewhere to stay that was accessible and dog friendly. It is a lovely as the photos and information suggest, we had a great room with a small living area and garden, there is a lovely walk through the grounds. The staff were very friendly and both breakfast and charcuterie platter were great. It’s in an excellent spot to visit the lovely town of Narberth and so much more to see in the surrounding area. We will definitely be back.

Sadly we only stayed one night as we were attending a function close by. The room was well furnished but not OTT . It really was home from home. The breakfast options were very good and by pre booking it was served nice and hot straight from the kitchen. Checking in and out was so simple to complete a great visit.

We spent a couple of nights at Caneston Oaks. Very friendly staff (and dogs!), lovely clean and comfortable rooms and amazing breakfast. Perfect for trips to Narberth and Tenby. We would definitely stay here again.
