The hostel is in the far corner of the city square, far away from the living centre of the town and from.the coach terminal. Public transport doesn't help either, so you have to walk at least half an hour to reach any sensible place. Rooms are not really clean (not terrible though), the kitchen and bathrooms either. I wouldn't recommend...

First of all, let's review the pros and cons of hostels: Hostel pros: -It is easy to meet people. -It's cheap. -Hostels often have cooking facilities, and you want to cook for yourself. Hostel cons: -Young people are loud, inconsiderate and messy. -You share bathrooms with said young people. I stayed here in a private room for three nights in...

This is the worst backpackers I have ever stayed in. I booked a double room and this was next to the men's toilets and other guests constantly were in and out banging the door, showering at 2 am. Other backpackers played loud music to all hours and no staff stopped them. I had nearly no sleep the entire night. I...

Hello people, Me (34) and my girlfriend (24) were staying at the backpackers Inn in Adelaide, which is only 5-10 minutes walk from the city centre. The room we had was clean and had a nice bed. Above everything was the friendly staff, who explained us a lot, arranged a cheaper booking to Kangaroo Island and who also had a...

I took 2 nights in this hostel because they had some deal with traveling to Kangaroo island, what was my main point. I knew, that it will be nothing special, because it was very cheep plus I have read few reviews before I decided. But I was thinking, that I will survive, it is just for 2 nights. It was...

I have stayed at a lot of places and know that it isn't the place that has the problem. I have stayed at the travellers Inn over a long time on different occasions and have saw the best and worst. The staff and the owner Gary have all been fantastic. The area is perfect for everything....free bikes, free city bus,...

First impressions were "it's a hostel" the bedroom (4 share) was small, the mattress felt like lots of metal bars prodding into me all night so I didn't get much sleep. The balcony area was a nice place to chill out but there were a lot of non residents and a couple resident making a stupid amount of noise. Gary...

I really enjoyed my stay, thank you. Free bikes :-) I stayed for 4 nights extra as the staff helped me with things to do. The building is a bit old but seemed fresh and clean. The kitchen and hallway had just been painted with new lights, the smell was in my room a bit but it made it very...

I've been staying in 5 other hostels in Adelaide and yes, this is one of the oldest and not the newest looking hostels but Adelaide Travellers Inn definitely has its pros! Dorms are mostly 4 bed dorms and rooms are quite basic but that's all you need when backpacking. Best thing about the hostel is definitely the atmosphere: I felt...

We spent a week at this hostel during the Womadelaide Festival. It was a very good location and quiet at night but the place was dirty and oppressive. The kitchen and fridges were filthy with very litle cutlery and crockery available. We saw poor young travellers eating out of saucepans. This place certainly needs to lift its game. On a...
