Stayed twice as we passed through Coober Pedy to and from Central Australia. Staff were friendly, both rooms had very comfy beds. Kitchen is cosy, but well appointed. Car park under shade which makes big difference in the extreme heat. Being underground, the only view you have is of the earthed walls, which I found quite nice. If you are...

We stayed two nights here whilst relaxing and exploring Coober Pedy. The success of this motel is largely a result of the tireless efforts of it's sole employee, Mercy. She is a lovely woman who keeps the place spotless. We discussed it and both agreed it's the cleanest place either of us have ever stayed. Great value for money with...

We got mucked around a little with our rooms after booking an underground suite with a kitchenette. We originally booked for two nights and made the booking near on 3 months in advance. I checked the booking before we left on our trip approximately 10 days before arriving, and found our booking had been put aside and someone else had...

Arrived at the underground motel which is just a few streets off the main stretch and up a little higher with a lovely view over coober pedy plains. Lovely friendly service from the lady in reception, who recommended places for us to go out for dinner as well. Cute little underground cave rooms all located closely together which were well...

We choose this place due to good reviews on trip advisor. The place certainly lived up to our expectations. It was clean (a major factor for us girls!), staff friendly and helpful providing tips on what to do etc. Beds comfortable, great outdoor area and would certainly recommended.

Such an amazing place to stay! Pretty cool underground ensuite rooms, very cosy and there's a fantastic modern kitchen fully equipped for you to use. The room was clean, great hot showers, common area and good wifi. Merce, the hostess, is a wonderful person and help us a lot in our stay. Definitely she made the difference!

Fantastic place to stay. We were in one of the dug out room and felt very nurtured by the place. It was very quiet and the temperature inside the unit was ideal despite the cold wind outside. The owner is very friendly and has done a fabulous job throughout the place. If you can't book a dug out, no problem...

Handy stop on a long road trip with young children. Rooms were clean, setup well and had everything required. Rooms can be a little close together so be careful of forgetting about alarm clocks and things. Staff were helpful and organised. Good stay.

What a great little place this is. It is super clean , the rooms all have their own ensuite, the decor is interesting and the atmosphere is very warm and friendly. At $125 a night with breakfast ( food provided for you to cook in the share kitchen) it has run rings around some of the "better" hotels we've stayed...

We stayed a night on the back end of a 3 week camping trip so arrived dishevelled and tired. Our hostess, Merce, took all in her stride. The decor is quite dated but the rooms were spotless, the shower hot and the beds comfortable. The kids loved the experience and we'd recommend the Underground and Coober Pedy in general as...
