This is a low budget motel at 5-star hotel prices. I've stayed in 5 star hotels at lower cost - and I got a deal on this place! No lifts. Tired and grubby feel to the rooms and motel. Noisy gate that hasn't been oiled in years. More than a mile from Salamanca market etc. Only stay if you're really...

We stayed in the Motor Inn part of the Wrest Point Casino. The room was very roomy and the bathroom was a step back in time, but still nice. The only downfall about this part was that there was no lift, only stairs. The pool and spa was nice that was located in the main building.

Clean, efficient, and a good-sized room. My only issue (which is hardly a fault of the place, to be fair) is that it's a pretty fair walk to the centre of Hobart. Be prepared to either order a taxi, or wear comfortable shoes... The casino was like every other casino in the world - dreadful. But there again, I didn't...

The rooms are of a decent size, clean with nice Manchester. Pillows are good as is the Doona. The bathroom is old but ok. Wall hairdryer. Tea / coffee. For the price of these rooms i expected a lot more. Very old and the room smells. They would not have been updated since they were built. Service at the front...

We stayed in Water Edge King room and for the $179 a night I was impartial. I thought for a $179 dollars you would get breakfast at least but hey ho it wasn't to be. The rooms were clean but very dated. Art Deco but a little bit tired. It's definitely a step back in time. The bed was comfortable...

Clean rooms , didnt like the shower which sprayed all over the floor but apart from that a great place to stay plenty of eating places and friendly helpfull staff. The meals were well priced from the expensive in the resturants to very reasonable imeals down near the gaming machines

This is a well appointed and comfortable place to stay, the more economic of the accommodation available but with all conveniences. bathroom well equipped, bed very comfortable biscuits supplied with tea/coffee. My only moan would be that mentioned by someone earlier, the décor needs updating to a colour more light and less depressing, the mustard-ish coloured walls and dark drapes...

Queens Birthday Long Weekend - My partner and I stayed over the weekend. The layout of the room was suitable and reasonably spacious. We had a little trouble with the TV, but got it sorted. Coming from chilly Melbiurne to an even colder Hobart, arriving at night, I was so looking forward to a warm bed. I was very surprised...

My trip to Hobart was a last minute thing over Easter this year (2016); so i was prepared to suffer either horrible prices and a very limited range of accommodation; so I was plenty surprised by the Wrest Point Motor Inn. While this wasn't my original place to stay in; I can tell you that if I return to Hobart...
