Had quite a few visits to Blackman now. Very close to the office & easy tram route into Melbourne CBD. You will need to get a Myki for travelling on the trams - just drop into the local news agency & your good to go. The restaurant downstairs is spot on for breakfast and you can get en excellent room... More

This was our second visit and it did not disappoint. We booked a twin with 2 queen beds and it was perfect for myself and 3 kids (5, 4 & 9 months). Firstly they had allocated a room with shower only, but after requesting one with a bathtub, they moved us within minutes! Staff are so friendly and helpful, Bryan... More

We really had a nice time here. Its in a great location for reaching the city centre by tram and this means you have all the fun of the city without being right in the middle of it. We had a studio suite on the 2nd floor. It was a lovely large room with a large bathroom/wetroom, the only problem... More

Nothing to complain about ever. Always top service. Rooms are consistently immaculate, extremely comfy, great decor, homely environment when working away from home. Great breaky lunch or dinner restaurant down stairs. Only slight neg is bathrooms are pokey but always clean and pristine.

The Blackman is such a joy to stay at. It was my second time back and I was greeted like a regular loyal longstanding guest. The reception to the dining experience at the hotel was truly positive. I twin shared the room with my sister and truly loved the size of the room and personal hand written welcome note. We... More

We have stayed in many top hotels around the world and the Blackman is the very bet. The art them makes the hotel, its clever and the attention to detail spectacular. We had a suite overlooking the park and I would highly recommend this. We were in Melbourne for my daughters wedding at the Willows. The staff were just wonderful... More

This hotel is conveniently located on the tram line and just around the corner from my office on St. Kilda's Road. What's best, is the hotel is delightful in so many ways. The entire hotel has an arty vibe that continues into the lodging rooms. Speaking of rooms, it was quite spacious, had a lovely patio and a mini-bar with... More

John Blackman's art series Alice, is featured though out the hotel, quirky, dark and a bit weird, but interesting. A variety of art related reading material was good to look through. Beds were very comfortable as were the pillows. Twin bed rooms can come in different configurations, two beds in one open room or two separated by a bathroom. We... More
