The guy on reception was so very good when we called. Quite close to Peter Mac hospital, we were desperate to get a room at very short notice & he did everything to help us out. My mum & I had a twin room & yes very small with small balcony but It had everything you need and was very... More

Well...on arrival...greeted with long black hairs on fridge and bench. Room was tiny. Advertised pictures very misleading. Small bathroom with no shelf for anything. Despite THREE requests we still did not receive fresh towels, toilet paper or bin emptied. (3 days) No face washer/flannel supplied at all. Room was incredibly stuffy/musty despite their attempts to mask with room deodorisers. Reception... More

Wow this has to be the worst hotel ( really, is it even a hotel? ) my mum or I have ever stayed at. Walked into the room and my heart sank with disappointment at the smell ( weird disgusting smell), the tiny uncomfortable beds, the one blanket each (7 degrees and one blanket each..what the?), the tiny, tiny room,... I was only looking for a comfortable bed and clean room which the Cliff Edge North Melbourne provided. The front staff were excellent and the secure car parking 6 minutes walk away for $20 for 24 Hrs was great. I did not have to use the car for the 48 Hrs that I was in Melbourne City. With a tram... Don't bother, pay an extra $50 and have a good room, comfy bed and a bathroom you can move in. It was like being on a plane in that bathroom. The bed wedged into the corner and so uncomfortable. We left and were refused canx refund of any sort so paid for a decent room elsewhere.

The room itself is not too bad and the position is good. But for the price you pay and for what you should get, it's pathetic. Pluses: nice bed. There's a (small) balcony. There's a kitchen in the room (washing dishes is heroic: no space to dry them). Minus: the wi-fi is of third world quality, even less (some very... More

Had to take batteries out of Tv remote to use aircon which was annoying. Booked as a couple but got two single beds. Tv was glitchy. Got complimentary tea and coffee. Hot chocolate would have been nice or the option to purchase mini bar items. Wasn't close to many things. Had to walk a while to find a coffee.

- malfunctioning toilet - filthy bathroom - additional cost for room servicing - air conditioning not working - room smelt of cigarettes and mouldy carpet - ironing board broken - staff don't fix broken plumbing - lights broken and not repaired - damaged microwave The only good thing about this accommodation is the location. However location doesn't mean a thing... More
