We spent 3 nights at this hotel and it was fantastic. The staff from Concierge, Front of House, to Housekeeping were very friendly and polite. The gave the impression nothing was too hard. Onsite parking was easy. Check-in was very quick. Our room reminded me of the room I had in Paris at the Novotel Les Halles. Very modern, good size bathroom and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. Our view was of the very impressive Melbourne Cricket Ground and we could see the big screen from our window. I was pleased to see there was real coffee in the room and not a Nespresso machine which I detest. The only negatives were no hot chocolate sachets in the room. When the hot chocolate arrived from room service one was luke warm the other cold. The breakfast was delicious, however, they could do with an omlette station (this is a 5 star hotel) and get rid of the nespresso machine and get a barista to make proper cappuccino's and latte's. We had our complimentary Gin cocktail the night we arrived and what a fabulous place to meet friends or just sit and relax which is exactly what we did. Overall we had a fabulous time and will definitely stay there again only next time we will go the club room to see how it compares to our favourite Club at The Langham. If it's better then my loyalities will change. Great Job!

Location is really good for those wanting to go to the sporting events or stay in a slightly quieter spot just on the edge of the city with a nice outlook over the parks and sporting areas.
The lobby, bar and restaurant area has recently been upgraded very nicely and I believe they are slowly upgrading the rest of the hotel. Rooms are still very nice clean and comfortable but feeling a little bit outdated in design—upgrade will make this place more interesting and deserving of another visit.
Disappointingly as we were looking forward to it but the restaurant was closed for dinner while we were there which was not mentioned before arrival and we actually received an email with details to contact the restaurant for bookings before arrival. We ate at the bar one night which was actually very nice but still a limited menu so chose to eat out other nights.
Being just out of the city, it is not in the free tram area and being we do not have a card for Melbourne trams, we ended up taking taxis into the city or walking.
We were contacted before our stay via email and then via phone to check for anything they can do and as Gold members we were offered an upgrade which they were going to record but obviously never did. We got an upgrade of sorts when we asked but was a different upgrade than what was discussed on the phone. Obviously a small issue with communication within their organisation.
Parking was very expensive at $35- a night for out of the city accommodation. Street parking is available for overnight and Sat afternoon and all day Sunday in the street at the side along the park.
I would stay again, especially when they get through the remodelling. The bar area and bar staff were extremely good and mixed up different cocktails and had a good wine selection.

This property was formerly known as the Melbourne Hilton which was a hotel with a very good reputation and some style - the Pullman Hotel has retained that style. The hotel looks like it has been recently renovated as the halls looked clean and well lit. The room was a very good size with quality furnishings appropriate for it; the bathroom was also clean and modern but there was a minor issue with the shower over the bath. The buffet breakfast contained a very good range of dishes with the option of getting some egg dishes to order; all this was served in a large dining area.

Although the hotel was situated in East Melbourne. the location had a lot going for it with a world class sporting precinct just across the road that included the MCG (cricket or football) and the Rod Laver Stadium (tennis).

The hotel was also heavily book by Emirates (airline) for their flight staff, so this would seem to endorse the quality of this property.

Stayed over Christmas and new year, Boxing Day test beckoned from over the road, and this was convenient.

First up, reception is efficient, as long as you don't arrive behind a coach party. Free daily newspapers are hidden away down the side so don't be afraid to ask if you can't find them.

Rooms are typical hotel, but a little jaded and dated. They are moderately clean, but the cleaners don;t deep clean regularly, and the wife's 'wipe test' around the sink on the hideous marble-effect counter revealed some whiskers (I hope) from the previous occupants.

The corridor carpet isn't in great shape, and clearly isn't vacuumed daily. It doesn't create a great image, especially when guests' room service trays can lie on it untouched for hours on end, usually overnight.

Bar service hit and miss. They have a senior guy - Lester - who is the epitome of professionalism, and an incredible asset to the hotel. I hope they know this or they'll lose him to someone who does. The others are OK, but when we stayed, the proximity to the MCG and cricket led a great many thirsty drinkers back and the hotel did not put on enough staff to cope.

Avoid the restaurant. Average, overpriced hotel food. There are some great restaurants within easy walking distance for both breakfast and dinner, and a tram stop right outside if you feel lazy.

Frankly, an expensive experience that left us underwhelmed.

We wish to thank the General Manager Erkin Aytekin and his team for our wonderful stay to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Whilst the hotel had only just reopened 2days earlier we were extremely grateful for the extra touches you gave us. Our view from the Superior Suite was incredible and the room fantastic. Drinks in the bar were great and dining via room service was very reasonably priced and well prepared.
Pullman Melbourne on the Park is in a great location, with a tram stop right across the road.
Many thanks for making our night away memorable.

The Pullman is in an excellent location if you want to walk to AAMI Park, the MCG or Rod Laver Arena. We had a room with executive club access on the 17th floor with a lovely view of the iconic MCG. The club lounge could do with more food offerings, a very limited variety. The breakfast in the main dining area was chaotic and they must have been understaffed because the staff that were working were rushing around madly. Both check in and check out were drawn out - the reception staff were lovely but our room wasn't ready at 5pm check in and we had to wait 20 minutes in line to check out. Again the location is good but I think management need to improve on some basics at The Pullman.

We've stayed at this hotel many times, but it has gone drastically down hill. Even though the rooms have been refurbished and look very nice, the service is simply appalling. I'm a Diamond member with Accor and frequent Accor hotels often. Membership benefits are generally recognised but not at this hotel. I had booked 3 rooms, one suite and 2 executive rooms, for my family and our parents, given it was Mothers Day on Sunday. I emailed the hotel in advance to advise that my husband and I would be arriving at 11am as we had a function to attend at the MCG, I requested an early check in for our suite so we could freshen up beforehand. I advised we did not require early access to either of the Executive rooms. On arrival our suite was the only room NOT ready. We left our bags with reception and left for the event. We returned around 5pm to find our bags had still not been delivered to our room. As we have access to the Executive Lounge, I had specifically booked executive rooms for our parents so we could all enjoy a quiet breakfast in the lounge and not in the noisy and unhygienic buffet in the restaurant downstairs (on our previous stay a bug had crawled out of my daughters pastry!!). We met a the lounge in the morning only to find it completely empty! No staff, no food and a coffee machine that didn't work. When I spoke with reception they told the lounge was not open for breakfast, but without any reason why! What is the point of paying for the Executive Room? It should be noted before booking that it is not available. And as a Diamond member, I received NO early check in, NO room upgrade (despite making a specific request for both) and the executive lounge was NOT available for breakfast. What is the point of being a loyal member?? This is not the first time our stay has been completely underwhelming, so it's definitely not a one off occurence. Despite the fabulous location, we will not be returning.

Booked a room for a special occasion with my wife and ordered the champagne on arrival $120. As advertised on their website. Gave notice of arrival time.
Checking in they had a room with 2 single beds instead of a king bed. This was sorted very quickly thank you. Went to the room but no champagne on arrival so rang reception and was told it will be there shortly. One hour later still nothing, so on the way out for dinner asked for it to be canceled and taken off our bill.
On returning to the room after the footy at about 11pm found the champagne sitting in a bucket of water.
Asked on check out what happened but was just told sorry and charged for it anyway.
Didn’t want to make a scene so paid the bill and will remember for next time.
Room breakfast and champagne $880.
Disappointed from a 5star we have stayed at often.

First stay at Pullman on The Park in Melbourne. (Normally stay at Novotel in Little Lonsdale St but got ridiculously good rate at Pullman for my dates, so why not check it out?)

Room on 20th floor. Great view. Room is older, but spotlessly clean and well maintained.

Welcome gift (I'm Platinum) 2 bottles of Evian and some chocolates and a card.

Executive Lounge on 18th floor nice enough. Evening Cocktails between 6pm and 8pm but no spirits on offer - beer, wine, soft drinks available. Small selection of canapes/sushi/cheese, not a huge range. Felt other Pullmans do this a lot better. Can get continental breakfast in the lounge or go downstairs for full buffet which is very good with lots of selections. Happy to make a take-away coffee for you to go in the car - love little things like this that make life better. So easy to do and keeps your guests happy.

Self park is $35 per night. Staff I've encountered friendly and cheerful. Hotel seems VERY quiet! Hardly anyone in the lobby, lifts don't stop on many floors and breakfast very quiet.

Room service a good choice and reasonable prices.

Would happily stay here again at a discounted rate similar to that I'm paying this time ($125/night).

This hotel is terrible. We were there for 5 nights. We had a corner, park suite on the 13th floor. The room is old and dingey, and very unclean. The only nice thing was the view but this too was spoilt because the windows were filthy.

Greasy handprints all over the woodwork, stains on the wallpaper and in the bathroom.

The hallways and lift alcoves are all run down, peeling wallpaper, old carpets, paint chipping from the woodwork.

The restaurant and room service food is way overpriced and almost inedible. Room service meals, completely cold.

On top of this they tried to charge us several times, for inclusions for which we had already prepaid.

When we arrived back in Sydney - they had added another $200 to our credit card with no explanation. I am still waiting to hear from the manager, to explain this charge.

Horrendous service!

Avoid this hotel....
