HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

I stayed here during the week with my friend for 2 nights. The price for this place was really good and we were very happy overall with our stay. We were on a road trip so were driving in and parking the car. The hotel is down a one way lane, but if you turn into the driveway of the...

I read mixed reviews on Trip Advisor and thought to myself how bad can a Mercure be. Boy, was I wrong! The room looked like a basement with exposed pipes and fire proof paint. There's no desk lamp and power sockets are not handily located. This place is probably OK for tourists who does not spend much time in the...

Always stay here when we come to Melbourne, rooms are very clean and roomy if you book in to the larger rooms, we had a problem the first night we could hear the tv next door very loud in the next room, at 1 am in the morning, we have never had this issue before , but the gentlemen that...

We stayed here for 4 nights for a child free long weekend. The location is fantastic. Right in the centre of the city, around the corner from Bourke St Mall. Two tram stops within a block and walking distance to so many great restaurants. Just near Chinatown, close to Hardware Lane, so many options! Although the motel is busy and...

Excellent location to strolling around the city of melbourne. Next to shopping centre, malls and many restaurants. Near from Flinders station, parliament & queen market. Room little bit old but pretty clean. AC and hitter not working in good condition. The receptionist nice and helpful.

Welcoming, friendly, comfortable and value for money. We stayed overnight whilst soaking in the 2017 Comedy Festival vibe. The Louden Kitchen & Grill served a wonderful, tasty and affordable dinner and provided a sumptuous buffet breakfast full of variety. Central to all the wonderful delights that Melbourne has to offer. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

Stayed here for a week, ninth floor. Room was on the small side, but did the job. Shower was awesome, plenty of pressure!Found staff very helpful. Location is good, opposite a huge mall, just down from Chinatown. Breakfast in the restaurant was good, found the Cacoon Bar great foe happy hour (5-7pm) and meals. Would look at staying here again

Once again had to book this property at short notice. Good service all around and can't speak highly enough of the excellent location in the middle of the city. Attached bar is a quiet place to relax.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
