Stayed here recently in a quick trip to Melbourne. The hotel is old but has been well renovated. The room was compact and well set out. The hotel has Happy Hour each night in their bar. Their restaurant is next door to hotel accessible from inside the hotel or from the street. The hotel has a roof top pool, sauna and small gym. A very pleasant stay.

The Victoria Hotel is always our choice when we visit Melbourne. The location is within walking distance of public transport, trains and trams, most major venues and CBD attractions. It is always clean and the staff is helpful and easily accessible. The advent of the "Green Cleaning"innitiative is an excellent innovation. If the stay is more than overnight the notice to hang on the door indicates to staff that the room doesn't need to be serviced every day which we appreciate as we are quite capable of making our own bed and using towels more than once! The rooms have all the modern conveniences one expects without losing its wonderful charm and heritage value.

Hello Eileen, Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your recent stay with us and your repeat stays over the years. It is always pleasing to hear from our regular guests. The Green Room initiative is certainly a great new process that also helps the hotel be more environmentally minded! We hope to see you at the hotel again soon. Warm regards, the team at The Victoria Hotel.

The room was good value for money. It was clean. The bed was a bit softer than I like and the aircon was noisy. My room overlooked Little Collins St, so there was some external noise from a nearby pub and also from emptying bins at some unearthly hour, but I realise that the hotel can't do anything about that. Friends came to visit and we had lunch in the restaurant, which we thought was good value for the price, but the desserts were expensive so we went back to my room for a drink and a biscuit. The bathroom is a good size, with a grab rail in the shower (also a good size). I would be happy to stay here again if the price is right. It's very handy for shops and Chinatown.

Hi Rita, Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your recent stay at The Victoria Hotel. I am glad to read that you enjoyed our location and your lunch in our restaurant, Mister Munro. Unfortunately being in such a great location does coincide with some outside noise from our neighbouring businesses and garbage trucks, but as you said this is sadly out of our control. I hope that this did not impact to negatively upon your stay, you can also request for a quieter room facing away from the street . We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Warm regards, the team at The Victoria Hotel.

This is the third time we've stayed here. We were given a family room which was really large and comfortable. The bathroom was tiny but can't be helped in an old building. Everything was really clean (except the spa) and although we said we didn't need our room serviced the cleaning staff always offered us new toiletries, cups etc. The central location is fantastic, but don't expect a view. Our room was ready early, which was great as we had flown in early in the morning, and we were able to store our luggage on the day we checked out. Would definitely recommend staying here!

My husband and I stayed for one night last weekend. The hotel is modest but has everything you need. A small pool, spa and gym were available for use and although we weren't prepared for a swim or workout, we popped up to have a look at the facilities and I was impressed.
Our room was extremely clean and tidy, and the bathroom was really nice.It looked like a new renovation. The room was quiet (although it was low occupancy due to the covid so I can't say if it would be as quiet during peak times, not much of a view, but we didn't mind that.
We couldn't get the heating going at first, but staff were at our room within minutes and offered to move our bags to another room for us, if it didn't start working. It ended up being fine, and staff made a follow up call to make sure it was working, which was appreciated.
We had a drink and food at the bar which was dark and cosy. Friendly staff, lovely food and all covid protocols were being adhered to.
Location on Little Collins was the perfect base for dinner and drinks in the city and the standard checkout time of 11am meant there was no rush the next morning.
Overall, we found this hotel to be excellent. It's not extravagant or huge, and it's also in a really old building, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. We were very impressed with the facilities, cleanliness and especially staff, who were friendly, and very helpful during our stay.
We will look forward to staying again soon!

We stayed here due to its central location and the fact that it was an approx 20 min walk from The Princess Theater (where HPCC is playing). Great price per night. Room was exactly what you'd expect - bed was comfy, bathroom, kettle, mini fridge, closet, TV, Wifi etc. Overall presentation was neat and clean. The front desk was very helpful - let us check into the room very early. Would stay here again!

An excellent central location and we were lucky enough to secure a parking spot on a very wet Friday night. Check in wasn't great - receptionist had trouble combining the bill for two rooms and didn't really explain that there would be a charge for using a card to pay. Room was fine - a little small maybe but with a good shower and efficient air conditioning. The bed was very comfortable. We didn't use the restaurant but we made use of the guest laundry which was fine though only one drier to two washing machines. We picked our car up very early and that worked fine. Good value for the location!

We spent three nights at the Victoria Hotel in twin share accommodation and found the stay to be very pleasant. The room was clean and tidy, the beds comfortable and the staff helpful and friendly. The central location meant that everything in the CBD was easily accessible on foot. I would be happy to stay here again in the future.

I really enjoyed staying at the Victoria Hotel. It was neat & clean and the staff were friendly. The online registration was easy and check in was the same. It’s central location was perfect for my needs: 150 metres from the conference I was attending at Melbourne Town Hall and close to China Town and restaurants. YouTube and Netflix was also available on the TV at no extra cost and this was the icing on the cake for me.
