I never even ended up staying here but yet still have been charged for a room! I booked a room for my stay back in November that I immediately rang up to change the date of. There were no rooms avaliable so i said i need to cancel it and i was assured this had been done. While over in...

Let's start with the name. The word 'boutique' suggests class, charm and quality, all of which were absent in our three day stay. A shame, because this was clearly once a charming old building in a pleasant part of the city. But it has been allowed by its owners to fall into a terrible condition. The walls and corridors are...

As soon as I walked in the gate and looked at this B&B I said "Oh my.... What have I done?" My husband was meeting me here and I thought, he's going to kill me, this places is a dump! The gardens could be glorious with a really good tidy up and it costs nothing to sweep down cobwebs, sweep...

Decent stay this, enjoyed for the most part. Staff very friendly, breakfast superb, room of a good size. Shower worked well. Free wifi and a good wifi too. Location - depends what you like. A little walk from town, however VERY close to a tram stop and by the beautiful Fitzroy Gardens so make up your own mind and I...

I wouldn't recommend rooms 8 or 9. We were moved from 9 to 8. Not sure about the other rooms, but this hotel is very run down. The rooms look nothing like the promotional photos. The cleanliness level was not at a good standard. The staff were helpful and did end up offering a refund (through Jetstar), but it was...

Helpful staff, good sized family room with all amenities, beds were comfy , great breakfast, lots of choice for the children. Not much room for parking but staff were happy to move cars around for you.

Inexpensive hotel close to transport and a 10 minute walk to the city. Lovely lavender gardens, very good breakfast and pleasant staff. If you want peace and quiet in a great area of Melbourne, I would recommend this hotel. We enjoyed our week there.

Great location to town and MCG and Hisense Arena etc. First glance, you think OMG, but once inside its fine. Place can do with some paint and polish, and repairs. Curtains are tied in middle of window (decent curtain rail, and sash to side would be better). Rooms are small (we had twin room), bathroom tiny too. It was clean,...

Powlett Street East Melbourne has a wonderful ambience. Old leafy trees, exquisite Victorian buildings and wide streets. This hotel is another beautiful building that has tacky decor and no attention to necessary upkeep has been made. Very unprofessional repairs -see photo of reading lamp in my room. The screen on my window is torn. Walls have very yucky marks that...
