I stayed here for 2 nights with my girlfriend in an 8 bed mixed dorm - always the luck of the draw with so many people and we pulled the short straw. We had a terrible sleep both nights thanks to the Chinese couple. Uncomfortable and creaking beds didn't help much. Not much going on here - close to the...

The Metro is a great, economic choice for families staying in Melbourne. The family rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. Bathrooms are shared but they are also spotlessly clean. Reception is open 24 hours and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooftop has a BBQ, sink and spectacular views of the city at night. The location is...

Before you book you need to understand that it's a hostel. We stayed overnight and booked a room for 4 (@$35ea). The bathroom facilities are shared and you need a passkey to get around. It's clean and tidy enough and I guess good in terms of hostel accommodation. We also parked onsite for $10 extra but I thought paying extra...

I was on the epack package so I have to check out from Central YHA to Metro YHA. Just when I arrived reception, I don't like it straight away. No smile faces, no "hi." "hello." "how are you doing?" "how can I help you?", staff are arrogant and helpfulness. There is a guy especially terrible with poker face and with...

It was okay for the night we stayed there, food was average and beds were really average. Toilets were pretty poor at some stages, showers and sinks were fine. but besides from that the service was nice and the building had a cosy feel to it.

The YHA was quite nice for a hostel. The bathrooms were clean and easy to access. The rooms were small and didn't have a lot of storage but was fine for a one night stay. Breakfast was easy and had food for everyone. The overall cleanness of the hostel was excellent.

This hostel is starting to get a less relaxed air than it once enjoyed and is very busy with many groups of millennial tourists, and others. It always had excellent housekeeping under the supervision of very experienced senior staff and a longstanding team. Now it seems to be cutting corners, and no one can expect the top staff to work...

We stayed here for a week in a mixed 4 bed dorm, the boys in the room absolutely stunk he did not leave the room or shower the whole week we were there! The hostel was really clean, had a nice big kitchen which was cleaned regularly, a TV room which was nice to sit and chill in. Only had...

If your thinking about staying in Melbourne this is a must if your on a budget. If your stupid enough not to read where the location is on the website like most negative reviews on here, it isn't that close. Well I believe a 20 minute walk into a major city isn't bad but for some people it is. There...
