My overall experience with this hotel has always been brilliant. From the friendly professional staff at check in, to the highly accessible warm chocolate chip cookies (24/7), the perfect location, the great check out time, and the hotel facilities are all excellent. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

Like many central Melbourne stays the Doubletree manages to provide a great stay, a cool Melbourne vibe all within very small guest rooms. The standard rooms are very small in size and you and your travel companion can expect the become very well acquainted. As a fresh build and brand, the decor is appealing and everything works as it should....

We stayed here one night for my birthday. The check in was smooth, but they were having trouble with the lifts and we had to go up to our room via a service lift. Our room was a twin share, but this was a SINGLE bed. Usually when rooms have twin share they are a Queen or Double beds. This...

I have stayed at this hotel four times in the last year. I stay there because the location is fantastic. The reception staff are friendly. Each time I have booked online. It is important to ask about the room they allocate. Some of them are very small. The bathrooms are excellent, some of the best I have had in hotels....

The location is excellent, but this very modern hip hotel could be better. The check in was very efficient, but the room allocated, despite being a diamond member was had a view of the opposite building roughly 12 feet away! The room was quite small, with a very small bathroom including walk in shower. No wardrobe - just a hanging...

Stayed in the hotel first night facing the Yarra River, but unbeknown to me there was a light festival on. The first night I was kept awake by very loud music because they were rehearsing the sound system. The next night I asked to be moved, and to be fair, they gave moved me immediately to a very quiet room,...

Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are small. Upgrade to the Hilton Honors floor if possible. Breakfast excellent. There is so much to do in Melbourne and Flinders Street station is across the street from hotel.

We loved staying here. Location was terrific, vibe was very hip, room was quite and clean and comfortable, staff was outstanding. Our room came with continental breakfast, which was delicious and more than enough to eat even though it did not include eggs; they made us oatmeal upon request. Tons of restaurants close by.

Was there for work over pleasure and found the hotel to be fantastic with its location near the main train lines, trams and walk to some very nice restaurants at South Bank. Hotel staff to be super friendly. Room towards the back of the hotel and a side view but really quite, could not hear the street noise. Room size...

This hotel is part of the Doubletree Brand owned by Hilton - one of two Hilton hotels in Melbourne. I really like this hotel and have stayed a number of times both for work and personal reasons, most recently a few weeks back. The rooms are relatively small (even compared to the Hilton on South Wharf) but they are fully...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
