We chose this place as we needed accommodation at short notice & this place had a pool & was central city. Our room was spacious for the 4 of us, however the bathroom was a bit on the small side. We were on the 12th floor so we thought we might get a decent view but it was just looking right into other apartments. The kitchen had good amenities but we dined out every day so didn't really make use of it. The swimming pool and spa pool were nice & the gym was an average hotel style gym. We used the laundry which cost $5 for the washing machine & $4-6 for the drier which was quite reasonable.
The apartment is close to the city centre, an easy walk to the trams & Victoria Market is very close too, it was actually an ideal location.

Thanks very much for your very detailed review! It's wonderful to give people practical feedback on our facilities. I'm sorry your room did not have a view but yes being right in the center of the city means we do have buildings around us. Perhaps next time try an Executive Room on the top floors where the views are the best. Best regards jane

The pegasus apart hotel is, from my point of view, 80% for a Chinese clientele, 19% for an American clientele. As soon as I entered the lobby I thought it was a Chinese hotel, there were Chinese lanterns attached and plastic flowers in plain sight. The impression at the entrance was, "Oh, God, where did I go?"

The stay lasted four days, the first two days I had hot water while the last two I had almost cold water, I had reported the problem on the third day at the reception but unfortunately it was not solved.

The bedroom for two people has a small kitchen space but it would be appropriate to provide two chairs in the room otherwise one person eats sitting and the other standing, it is not very comfortable.

The salty eating of breakfast is sincerely bad, fried dishes that taste only fried, salty bacon, first courses without taste and anonymous, repeated without originality and love every day.
The breakfast is suitable for a Chinese or American clientele, for Europeans it is not the best. In the morning I ate yoghurt, fruit, coffee and, rarely, cakes that were good anyway.

The cleanliness in the rooms can be improved. On arrival the kitchen smelled like egg. The bases of the lamps were full of dust and remained dusty during the four days of stay.

The location is still convenient, close to the free tram, close to large supermarkets and all shops. The Victoria Market is really close by and is a good destination to buy fresh produce.

The bed was very comfortable.

Honestly, overall, the stay was mediocre, I think there may be better options for a stay or if I had to choose this hotel again I would not select breakfast.

When I choose a hotel there are 3 guidelines: good breakfast, good cleanliness and convenient location. Here the breakfast was, from my point of view, lacking in quality, the cleanliness was average (however the bathroom was very clean) and the location I consider it convenient.

Dear Marco G Thank you very much for taking the time to give such a detailed review of your stay with us. Firstly please allow me to point out that we do try and appeal to a broad range of clientele, our main customer base remains domestic Australian guests and then guests from overseas including China - surrounding countries and further afield such as the USA or UK. Yes we do definitely have Chinese lanterns in our looby currently as we are celebrating the Lunar New Year Festival. I am sorry that some parts of your stay were not to the standard of your expectations - including the breakfast. We do try to appeal to all tastes - our chef will wlaos make you eggs to order and there is a wide array of food available. I am also sorry that the room was dusty, our Housekeeping Team do try very hard to keep the rooms clean and fresh but it seems like on this occasion we have missed the mark. I am please that you found the location satisfactory. Once again thank you for your feedback. Warm regards Jane

I paid $450 per night for a 2 bedroom apartment. I chose the hotel because this was a work trip with a colleague and the online pictures showed a room big enough for us to comfortably work in and the location central. We walked in the room and it smelt like a sewer. The tiny table in the living area was directly outside the bathroom (where the smell was coming from) and too small to work at with my colleague. We looked out the window at an ugly brick wall.

I travel constantly for business and this was by far one of my worst experiences. We were thankful for the large executive lounge room with a big table as we just moved ourselves there to work for the 2 days.

There are so many more reasonably priced and higher quality accommodation in Melbourne to stay than Pegasus. I will certainly never stay here again. It is better suited to tour groups or airline staff (seemed to be their customers) who are only there briefly and for only one night.

Dear Biztraveller2012 Thank you very much for taking the time to post your feedback of your recent stay with us. I am very sorry that our hotel did not meet with your expectations and you do not consider our accomodation to be value for money. All of our studio rooms have their own separate desk space and some of our two bedroom apartments also have a desk in the lounge area. In addition we also have our Soho Suites on our Executive levels that have their own separate office space. I'm pleased that our staff were able to assist you with finding a suitable space for you and your colleague to work and my apologies once again for the challenges that you had with your room. Regards Jane

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at a very good rate (probably because of the current covid situation) at around a total of $400. We have stayed here once before in 2013 so we’re familiar with the hotel.

We arrived quite early in the morning and the hotel staff were friendly and held onto our luggage until we checked in later around 2pm.

The room itself was quite small but had all the necessities you would expect from a decent hotel such as an aircon and fridge. The room was generally clean although the blankets and sheets look like they could be replaced as they were a bit off-white.

The location is great as it is about a 10-15 min walk into the main area of the cbd. We also hired a car and we’re able to park it inside the hotel car park for $25 a night (reasonably priced). At times, the hotel keys did not work although the staff assisted when this occurred.

Overall, a pleasant stay for the price and location and would definitely recommend this hotel if you are able to book it for a decent price.

We chose this hotel for the price and after reading some reviews. We very much enjoyed our stay even though we had a rough check in four to my name not fully matching the reservation. For example don’t use Mike if your name is Michael or reception will have you calling Expedia and wait on hold.

The hotel itself was excellent from the front desk to the restaurant. I had VIP privileges so I had a free breakfast and reduced cost for my wife. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning and I asked for a hard egg to the chef and he promptly made it. The bacon sausages ham pancakes were good and fresh cut watermelon and cantaloupe too. Breakfast hit the spot every morning.

The Location is fantastic as the Victoria Market is just around the corner and the free trams are a five minute walk away on La Trouba street. The trams help you get around easily.. sometimes we took the tram to the end of a road and walked back. Very easy city to get around.

There are great restaurants nearby, especially on Hardware Lane about a 15 minute walk away.

The wifi was strong as was the shower stream. Great stay and highly recommend!

When I made the booking over the phone I was led to believe an early check-in was possible, and just turn up when we can.
We disliked the check-in approach, we arrived at 2:30pm uncomfortable and wet, was treated with little respect and asked the wait in the foyer dripping until the room was ready, then was offered a smaller room at 2:55pm if we wanted to go straight to a room. Then at 3:05pm our room was finally made available following room service inspection. After entering the room we found the kettle did not work, we asked for another and room service responded with another kettle that also did not work. With the kettle situation it was 3rd time lucky.
Also, we I booked the room by phone and wasn't told about the $11 for bicycle parking even though I mentioned we would be needing bicycles to be secured in the underground carpark. I thought $11 was unreasonable for bicycles parking.

my overall rating is 2 out of 10. room rent is expensive as you have to pay the breakfast extra, not included with the room rent. rent comes closer to a 5 star hotel. although looks cheaper as they don't mention about the breakfast. you will think that breakfast is included with the rent but practically not. you will realize afterwards. what a mistake!!

Thank you very much for your comments regarding your recent stay with us, I am sorry that the hotel did not meet with your expectations. However, i do not believe that most guests will automatically assume that their room rate includes breakfast if they have not made the booking this way. We do not advertise our rates this way, in addition our staff will always advise guests if breakfast is included both on check in and when entering the restaurant. Nevertheless i am sorry for your confusion. Warm regards Jane

Decent apartment, but much smaller than stated. Poor cleaning, lots of dust in apartment. Only simple cleaning the 2 weeks we were there. Had to ask for vacuum cleaner and mop and clean himself. The vacuum cleaner was so full of dust that it had to be cleaned to work. Certainly okay enough place to stay for a couple of nights. Lots of noise in one of the bedrooms we had in the 22 storey due to fuse box / elevator (sound in bed which was disturbing).
The duvet cover was just two sheets folded around a stained duvet, did not feel fine in it completely. 1 and 2 Christmas Day + 1 New Year's Day, room cleaning was absent although these were the most expensive nights. This is not mentioned in hotel.com

Thanks very much for taking the post your review of the hotel. I am sorry that were not able to meet your expectations over the Christmas Period, that's very sad to read those comments. Our Housekeeping team do work very hard to provide the best service to our guests and maintain the rooms so they are always clean and fresh. Our Housekeeping Team do work 7 days a week, however on Public Holidays they do only a "light service" of the rooms . I will pass on your feedback to the team. Warmest regards Jane

Booked a night for school holidays as a treat bit disappointed this time round. Wasn’t allowed to check in slightly early as room wasn’t ready went back just after 3pm and found the queue out the door which I was trying to avoid. People seemed to jump the queue too which annoyed me. Room had filthy baby fingerprints all over the windows and the table looked like it wasn’t wiped down properly. Need to book in time to use pool area and get a pass and towels which is frustrating cause if you need to pop out to use the toilet you are locked out of the pool area and hope that someone can let you back in. I had to take the room key back down to my partner or he wouldn’t have been able to get back up to our room lucky I was able to get in there with some other people, it’s not very well organised, maybe they could add pool access to your room key for the time allocated. Rooms were quiet could not hear anything.
