Very well set up but needs more hands on management. Prices on par with good hotel but service poor. Lovely communal area with kitchen, lounge with both indoor and undercover dining tables. Suited us admirably as small with only 4 rooms. Friendly hostess.

We recently stayed here for a few days. The blurb on the website promised much but delivered very little. In fact, the website seems to be a little dated and could do with updated information. First up, our room contained no toiletries, no coffee cups or glasses and the fridge proclaimed to have snacks in it, but there were none.... More

It is evident that a great deal of thought went into the design and set up of this guest house to ensure that guests had a unique tropical experience. It is a shame that due to poor management the experience is not what it should be. We arrived on a Sunday and the manager told us that she worked fulltime... More

This was a perfect base for preparing for a trip across the Gibb River Road. We had three couples in three rooms surrounding a large, covered courtyard with a very large table. There was easy parking for our 4WD's nearby, so we could schlep equipment and supplies back and forth easily. The kitchen allowed us to prepare a couple dinners,... More

We stayed four nights and had a lovely time. Very relaxed atmosphere with an Indonesian, Bali style touch. The en-suite is open air, but you can close the shutters of course if you do not want to. We loved it! The new manager (since August 2012) is very friendly and hospitable. There are only four rooms, giving it a very... More

My friend came to the Kimberely for the first time and we chose to stay at OBG. We were not disappointed! The staff were exceptional and the service outstanding! Our accommodation and the facilities were beautiful and very comfortable. A perfect place to relax and soak up the sun. I have been recommending OBG to all of my friends, family... More

Recenly my wife and I spent 5 glorious nights at the OBG, it was simply superb. From the moment we entered via the rustic drive under the Mango and Paw Paw trees we were captivated. We were hopeful the 'reality' would match the images in the Internet and we were certainly not disappointed. Dark stained decks led to beautifully furnished... More

We choose this place because of good reviews and it looked lovely. However the service was disappointing for the money. Yes there was a cooked breakfast but some unusual combinations with little/no choice. If you are expecting daily service of your rooms and towels then don't choose this guesthouse. The building and environment is lovely and very relaxing but when... More

I cannot recommend The Old Broome Guesthouse enough. I have been traveling for both business and pleasure for up to 3 months a year for the last 15 years, and I can safely say this is one of the most wonderful places I have stayed. I've rarely encountered such warm hospitality. If you like the idea of an American luxury... More

We spent a total of seven nights at the OBG. It is situated in the "old" part of Broome and thus a considerable distance from the touristy resorts. The four en suite units are understated and the bathroom in its Balinese style offers a huge and comfortable shower. Each room features a small private terrace; a shaded swimming pool is... More
